We live in biblical times.   The voices warning of dire food shortages for 2023, skyrocketing energy costs for the coming winter, economic disaster, and threats of World War III come from a wide variety of sources, but few are paying attention. Vladimir Putin, Zelenskyy, military generals in the U.S., and NATO leaders frequently talk of nuclear war and dirty bombs. But again, most people ignore the threats and plan for a future in which nothing will change the status quo or hamper their aspirations.   Globalists such as Joe Biden are far more interested in fervently promoting abortion up to the moment of birth and the monstrous evil of transgenderism for children than they are in resolving the conflict in Ukraine, which threatens to engulf much of the world in a deadly war.   We live in a time like no other because so very few people are paying attention to the deadly crises that loom on our horizon. We live in biblical times because what we see worldwide is precisely what God's Word says the world look like just before the start of the seven-year Tribulation. The similarity with prophecy is uncanny, but few believers recognize that we indeed live in times that are plainly prophesied in Scripture.   In spite of the perilous times in which we live, please know that as believers we possess an exceedingly great hope, an over-the-top joyous anticipation of the glory that awaits us at Jesus' appearing.   Let’s examine some practical aspects of this hope.   PERSEVERING IN THE FAITH   What enables us to persevere amid these dangerous times? In Philippians 3:20-21 and in 1 Corinthians 15:51-57, Paul describes the future biblical event that we call the "Rapture." It's the time when Jesus raises the dead in Christ, gives us who are alive imperishable bodies, and takes us up to His Father's house in heaven.   In each passage, Paul follows up his discussion of the Rapture with encouragement to persevere, or stand firm in our faith (Philippians 4:1; 1 Corinthians 15:58).There's something about our anticipation of Jesus' appearing that gives us the courage to stand firm in these perilous times.    It's our certain expectation of glory that enables us to move forward in serving the Lord regardless of the cost. It's recognizing that the joy that lies before us far outweighs any pain that might lie in our future. Is this not what Paul so eloquently stated in Romans 8:18?   For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.   ENCOURAGING ONE ANOTHER WITH OUR HOPE   In 1 Thessalonians 4:13-5:11, another passage that details the progression of events that we call the “Rapture,” the apostle instructs us to "encourage one another with these words" and then to "encourage one another and build one another up."   The source for such mutual encouragement flows from our imminent expectation of meeting Jesus in the air.   A biblical practice, or discipline, that's very much needed in our day is that of comforting each other with the hope that we share in Jesus' imminent appearing. It's in this joyous expectation, along with the like-minded encouragement, that we find the strength to persevere in our faith.   At times, I very much wish I did not see what I see. But on the other hand, it motivates me to keep writing so that I might encourage those who are awake to the perils of our day. My desire is also to wake up other believers that do not yet recognize how the converging signs tell us the Tribulation is so very close, right on our doorstep.   I recently wrote three blog posts with the intent that as whole, they might encourage those of us that are brokenhearted at the wickedness, deception, and lawlessness of our world. Someday, Jesus will answer the cry of our soul and return as a groom to gather His bride, the church, to Himself.   WHY ARE WE SO CERTAIN OF OUR HOPE IN JESUS’ APPEARING?   The first one deals with our certainty regarding what the Bible reveals to us regarding end time events. In Hebrews 6:18-19, we find these words:   “ . . . so that by two unchangeable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled for refuge might have strong encouragement to hold fast to the hope set before us. We have this as a sure and steadfast anchor of the soul, a hope that enters into the inner place behind the curtain.”   Our hope is our anchor, the assurance that we can rely upon what the Bible says about our glorious hope, holds amid the turbulence of our day because of:   1.   God’s promises 2.   God’s character    ISRAEL’S FUTURE RESTORATION VALIDATES OUR HOPE AS NEW TESTAMENT SAINTS   After I graduated from Talbot Theological Seminary, I worked a year for the Lockman Foundation in support of their exhaustive concordance for the New American Standard Bible. For one year, I spent forty hours a week immersed in the Hebrew and Aramaic text of the Old Testament. Later, I returned to work in the Greek text of the New Testament for several weeks. As a result:   1.   I came away with a deep and lasting love for the words of Scripture.   2.   It made me immune to the teachings of those that spiritualize the words of the ancient prophets in order to substantiate their errant claim that the Lord has replaced Israel with the church. The words of Scripture matter.   Our security as New Testament saints rests on the words of both the Old and New Testaments.   In my book, The Triumph of the Redeemed, I wrote the following:   “Consider this: If God can break His covenants with such Old Testament champions of the faith as Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and David, what does that say about His promises regarding our salvation? If God can renege on His unconditional promises to Israel, ones He repeated many times throughout the writings of the prophets and in the Psalms, what does that say about our security?"    ENCOURAGEMENT FOR WEARY HEARTS   If you feel overwhelmed by our world and yearn for Jesus to intervene and take you home, know that I wrote this article especially for you.   Waiting is never easy, and we don’t know what additional suffering lies ahead for us between now and the Rapture (although it could happen today).   The Lord’s wrath hangs over our world, especially America, like a dark cloud just before a violent storm erupts underneath. The Lord promises that we will not experience the wrath of the Day of Lord, but we do not know what might happen before He appears.   Our encouragement comes from knowing that our expectation of Jesus' return is rock-solid certain; Jesus will absolutely come for us just He promised, and a myriad of signs tell us we live in the season of His appearing.   RESPONSE   If you know of other believers that need reminders of their glorious hope, please forward this newsletter to them or share it with them in some other way.   If you have never called upon the Lord for the forgiveness of your sins, please do so before it’s too late. Nearing Midnight: Why Would You Make Such a Thing? – Todd Strandberg - https://www.raptureready.com/category/nearing-midnight/   For hundreds of years, nations have been seeking out ways that will advance their ability to wage warfare. A great deal of research and development has been in the areas of conventional, chemical, nuclear, and biological weaponry.   It was all fine when mankind was working on making a cannonball fly faster and farther. When we reached the point where we had bombs that could destroy an entire city, we needed to ask ourselves why are we going down this path.   The Cold War arms race was pointless because no side could win in a nuclear war. If the USSR had managed to knock out 90% of the US nuclear bombs in a surprise attack, our military would still have had enough nukes to devastate the USSR.   For decades, each side continued to add more and more nuclear weapons to their stockpile. By 1991, the US and the USSR had 65,000 nuclear bombs. The power of the bombs has increased over the years. The atomic bomb dropped on the Japanese city of Hiroshima had the explosive power of 15,000 tons of TNT. The first hydrogen bomb had the power of 10 million tons of TNT. In 1961, the USSR tested a bomb that had a yield equal to 60 million tons of TNT.   Luckily, President Reagan and Mikhail Gorbachev managed to negotiate a massive drawdown with the Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty. Both sides now have around 10,000 nuclear bombs. We’ve gone from being able to destroy the world 100 times over to just 20 times over.   The world has spent $5.5 trillion on nukes. Vast areas of the world are contaminated by nuclear tests and the development of bombs. The US government has spent over $40 billion so far just trying to clean up the decommissioned Hanford nuclear production complex in Washington state.   We may have fewer nuclear bombs, but the development of nuclear technology goes on. The Russians are constantly upgrading their ability to strike targets. They have just developed a missile that is known as “Satan II.” It can carry up to 15 warheads and has several countermeasures against anti-ballistic missile systems.   The biggest concern in nuclear technology is hypersonic weapons. These are missiles and projectiles which travel at between 5 and 25 times the speed of sound – about 1 to 5 miles per second. Russia and China claim to have a hypersonic system in the development stage. If deployed, they would be very hard to shoot down, and the reaction time would be greatly reduced because they would avoid radar by flying much lower than a conventional missile.   Scientists at Boston University recently came under fire for an experiment in which they tinkered with the Covid virus. Breathless headlines claimed they had created a deadly new strain, and the National Institutes of Health rebuked the university for not seeking the government’s permission.   Several liberal media news outlets say the 80% death rate in mice was just clickbait headlines for social media sites and the manipulated virus strain was actually less lethal than the original.   The key word in all news stories about the Boston University virus is “created.” I don’t see why we would want to make a new strain of any virus that causes death. I can see that knowledge can be gained by seeing how a virus might spread, but research like this carries great risks, foremost among them the chance that an accidental lab leak could create a new pandemic, killing millions of people.   It is possible that COVID-19 was leaked from the Wuhan Institute of Virology in China. It would be the crime of the century if it turns out Wuhan was the source of the virus. Over 7 million people died during the pandemic, and the world spent $10 trillion on COVID-19 relief.   There are government labs that could have developed a virus that is many times more deadly than COVID-19. The Nazis and the Japanese tested all types of viruses on inmates during World War II. Our ability to redesign the workings of the virus ensures that someone will eventually build a bio-weapon.   I was shocked at how quickly COVID-19 swept around the world, and it did this three times. President Biden has declared the pandemic to be over, but we could easily see round four. China is still fighting the virus. Lockdowns in key port cities have greatly hampered supply chains. President Xi’s zero-Covid policy is putting a massive strain on the Chinese economy.   Until Jesus returns to rule with a rod of iron, mankind’s evil nature will compel him to seek to develop weapons of warfare. Once our Lord takes over, no nation will need weapons. The Prince of Peace will make conflict a distant memory for a thousand years.   “And He shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks; nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war anymore” (Isaiah 2:4).

Let Them Eat Bugs? Filet mignon? Lobster? Venison? Duck? I assume that everybody has a favorite meal. And I would also assume that of your list of favorite foods, I doubt that eating insects would make your top ten. Well, like it or not, the push for all mankind to begin incorporating crickets, termites, mealworms and other insects into our diet is gaining momentum. So, what is behind this and why is there an urgency on the matter all of a sudden? Well, to understand that, you need to understand the true intention of the climate change agenda.   Back in 1976, one of the earliest meetings defining the so-called “sustainability” agenda was held during the UN Conference on Human Settlements. It was called Habitat 1 and from it came the Vancouver Declaration. The agreement argued that “land cannot be treated as an ordinary asset controlled by individuals”. Why? Because it means regulators can’t control the activities of primary production, which they believe is a large contributor to carbon emissions.   So, the only solution in their minds is for greater public control of land. But to enact their vision of sustainability, there will need to be drastic restrictions on energy, meat consumption, travel, living space and material prosperity. After all, if the World Economic Forum wants to introduce a great reset across all sectors of society, you need to reset the food supply as well.   So, freedom concerning choices on where to live, when to travel, what energy you consume and what food you eat must be taken out of the hands of each individual person in order to achieve supposed sustainability goals. To do that, some of the world’s wealthiest and most powerful corporations are working together in an effort to centralise control over food production and crush independent farmers. So on the one hand, you have governments the world over warning of critical food shortages but on the other hand, government policy is creating those shortages, as is the case in Sri Lanka and the Netherlands.   But although many would claim that sustainability practices are needed to fight climate change, the real goal is to gain control over food, agriculture and people. The goal for those pushing this agenda is not to save the planet, as they claim, but to increase control over people. Unfortunately, our farmers are bearing the brunt of this agenda even though many of those driving these policies have never set foot on a farm. Yet, because of the wealth and power they hold, they are largely shielded from the consequences that their misguided policies will have on the rest of the world. That burden, therefore, will fall to ordinary people like you and I and even more so, the already impoverished.   In short, this is about the super-rich foisting their godless values on the rest of us without caring who they starve, maim or kill in the process. They are offering bugs as a food source because globalists are deliberately destroying our food supply and the worst part is, many are voluntarily surrendering their liberties and co-operating with this evil agenda.   Climate zealots are deliberately destroying food supplies in a misguided quest to save a planet which is not at risk of destruction through climate change. In fact, predictions of climate destruction are consistently shown to be inaccurate and the reason for that is that they rely on man’s word (which is from a deceitfully wicked heart), they rely on man’s history (which wrongly teaches the theory of evolution) and they rely on man’s prophecy (which wrongly tries to prove that mankind will destroy the planet through carbon emissions). So, when your evidence is based on error, your conclusion will also be based on error.   As Psalm 50 testifies, our Father in Heaven owns the cattle on a thousand hills. He is able to provide abundantly for every person on this planet if only we would place our trust in Him. Yet, many have placed their trust in wicked men who hate mankind. The climate emergency and its so-called solution in feeding mankind insects is just one of many deceptions that godless globalists are using to gain more control in this world. Even though we do not like it, the Bible tells us that in the last days, just such a world order would come into existence with the future Antichrist at the helm.   But here is the good news. We look not for an antichrist, but to Jesus Christ. And one day, He will make all things new again and just as He does now, He will take care of our every need.

Russia and Iran, New "Axis of Evil," Emboldened by Biden Administration - by Majid Rafizadeh - https://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/19051/russia-iran-evil-emboldened   Thanks to the Biden administration's leadership, or remarkable lack thereof, the ruling mullahs of Iran have become a key player in Russia's invasion of Ukraine. The Iranian regime and Russia are ratcheting up their military cooperation and adventurism.   On March 2, Iran abstained from the United Nations General Assembly Resolution ES-11/1 condemning Russia's invasion and demanding Moscow's withdrawal from Ukraine. Tehran then voted against UN General Assembly Resolution ES-11/3, which suspended Russia's membership in the UN Human Rights Council.   The Biden administration and the European Union, all the same, continued negotiating with the ruling mullahs to revive the toxic Iran "nuclear deal" and lift the sanctions in place against the Islamic Republic.   Russia and Iran, evidently further emboldened and empowered, then organized a visit by Russian President Vladimir Putin to the Islamic Republic, where he received huge support for Moscow's invasion of Ukraine from the Iranian regime's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. After that visit, Iran's supplying of kamikaze drones to Russia became the first instance seen of military cooperation between Moscow and Tehran.   On September 23, the Ukrainian foreign ministry stripped Iran's ambassador in Kyiv of his accreditation and reduced the embassy's diplomatic staff there, according to the Ukrainian foreign ministry's press service. Despite this escalation, the European Union would not admit that the Iranian regime was entrenched in the war on Ukraine: EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell wanted "proof".   "We will look for concrete evidence about the participation [of Iran in the Ukraine war]", he told reporters as he arrived for a meeting of EU foreign ministers in Luxembourg on October 17.   The EU ultimately acknowledged that the Iranian regime was indeed "provid[ing] military support for Russia's unprovoked and unjustified war of aggression against Ukraine" via "development and delivery of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles to Russia".   "These cowardly drone strikes," British Foreign Secretary James Cleverly noted in a statement, "are an act of desperation. By enabling these strikes, these individuals and a manufacturer have caused the people of Ukraine untold suffering."   Iran's regime, apparently even more emboldened, then began sending troops to Crimea to assist Russia in its attacks on Ukraine's infrastructure and civilian population and to increase the effectiveness of the suicide drones.   The White House actually admitted on October 20, 2022 that it had evidence that Iranian troops were "directly engaged on the ground" in Crimea supporting Russian drone attacks. "The systems themselves were suffering failures and not performing to the standards that apparently the customers expected," National Security Council spokesperson John Kirby acknowledged. "So the Iranians decided to move in some trainers and some technical support to help the Russians use them with better lethality."   Now the Iranian regime, presumably even more emboldened, will be providing ballistic missile to Russia in addition to the drones. Iran's regime has the largest and most diverse ballistic missile arsenal in the Middle East.   "Ukraine currently doesn't have effective air defense systems against ballistic missiles," Ukraine Air Force spokesman Yuriy Ihnat pleaded. "Iran will likely supply those (to Russia), unless the world finds a way to stop it".   There is still clearly a need in Ukraine to "close the sky," a request that Speaker of the US House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi rejected.   Several top Iranian generals are directly involved in the war against Ukraine; they most likely received their orders from the Supreme Leader. Major-General Mohammad Hossein Bagheri, who is the Chief of Staff of Iran's Armed Forces and supervises Iran's military Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) program, is a key player in Iran's military cooperation with Moscow. He is "involved in the expansion of Iranian-made UAVs abroad; in this capacity, he inaugurated an assembly line in Tajikistan destined for the export of Ababil-2 drones. He also participated in the development of Mohajer-6 drones and their supply to the Russian Federation for their use in the war of aggression against Ukraine."   Also Brigadier-General Saeed Aghajani, who is the Commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps's Aerospace Force Unmanned Aerial Vehicle "oversees and directs the planning, equipment and training for Iran's UAV operations, which include also the supply of drones to international allies of Iran, including the Russian Federation".   General Sayed Hojatollah Qureishi, in charge of the Supply, Research, and Industrial Affairs Division at the Iranian Ministry of Defense and Armed Forces Logistics (MODAFL), was behind "negotiating the agreement with the Russian Federation in relation to the supply of Iranian-made Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) for their use in the war of aggression against Ukraine."   So, because of the Biden administration, the new "Axis of Evil," Russia and Iran, are becoming more empowered and emboldened than ever. It is now time to abandon the "nuclear deal" with Iran permanently, "close the sky" over Ukraine, and quickly defeat Putin. At least it will show the other aggressors there is no way they can win.

Daily Jot: Elections and your soul–a prophetic account - Bill Wilson – www.dailyjot.com   There has been much rhetoric surrounding the elections. Even the “President” has pitted Americans against one another, inferring that God-fearing people believing in the sanctity of life are a grave threat to America. There have been ads on TV by Democratic candidates openly depicting that their opponents who are pro-life are dangerous. The “President” has made statements that conservative Republicans are akin to terrorists. They have said that the movement of this element of society must be killed. They have actually characterized as terrorists parents who do not want their children to be subject to sexual mutilation and predation by homosexual and sexual deviants in public schools. This will not go away because of an election.   This is a season, not unlike the times of Noah. But remember Ecclesiastes 3:1-8, “To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven; A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to time to cast away; A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.”   This is a season where good men and women are facing a defining moment of what is right and just, and that which is evil. It is a time to examine our hearts and what we believe is to be the definition of our soul, the soul of our family and the soul of our country. We must determine where we are on the spectrum of seasons so wisely and aptly described in Ecclesiastes. Is yours a time to build up, to cast away, to rend or sew, to keep silent or to speak? What is the Lord telling you. For you must know that just because of an election, the hearts of those who are in opposition to the Lord, whether they are elected leaders or those in the pulpit, will not change because people have voted. It is important to align our will with the will of the Lord, and behave accordingly.   No matter how the elections turn out. Know that your eternal hope is in the Lord Almighty, not in government. Government is not God. For those who believe all their hope is in government, they are rejecting God. They, whether knowingly or not, are worshipping another god. And surely they will have their reward. As Christ said in Matthew 6:19- 21, “Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal; But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.” You are of another Kingdom. You are especially made to carry on the will of God here in an earthly vessel. Never forget it.

Daily Devotion: Are You Spiritually Hungry? - by Greg Laurie – www.harvest.org   ‘Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled.’  —Matthew 5:6   https://harvest.org/resources/devotion/are-you-spiritually-hungry/ - Listen   I’m amazed at how I can go from being not hungry at all to starving four minutes later. On Thanksgiving Day, for example, I can hardly wait for the big meal. And when the time for it finally comes, I eat too fast and too much.   The Bible talks about a different kind of hunger—a spiritual hunger. Jesus said, “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled” (Matthew 5:6 NKJV). A blessed or happy person will passionately desire a righteous life.   God wants us to have a desperate hunger for righteousness, a real passion for spiritual things. The writer of Psalm 42 described it this way: “As the deer pants for the water brooks, so pants my soul for You, O God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God” (verses 1–2 NKJV).   When the prodigal son was hungry, the Bible tells us that he turned to his father: “But when he came to himself, he said, ‘How many of my father’s hired servants have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger! I will arise and go to my father’” (Luke 15:17–18 NKJV).   In the same way, only God can satisfy the spiritual thirst deep within our souls. Jesus said, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst” (John 6:35 NKJV).   Only God can satisfy our spiritual hunger and thirst. Do you starve for a holy life? Do you hunger for the best that God has in store for you?   Here’s a little secret you need to know: If you live for happiness, you’ll never find it. But if you instead channel your energy into being holy, you’ll be happy. Holy people are happy people because happiness is a fringe benefit of holiness.
