Hallelujah! - By Daymond Duck - https://www.raptureready.com/2022/10/22/hallelujah-by-daymond-duck/   Passover was approaching, and Jesus was headed to Jerusalem, where He would die on the cross (Matt. 26:17-19; 26-30).   He stopped just outside the city at a small town called Bethany.   One of His Disciples asked, “Where wilt thou that we prepare for thee to eat the Passover?”   Peter sent James and John to a certain man’s house in Jerusalem, and they prepared the Passover meal (Matt. 26:18).   Evening came, and Jesus arrived with the Disciples.   The one named Judas Iscariot left, and while the Passover meal was in progress, Jesus instituted the Lord’s Supper.   They finished the Passover meal and Lord’s Supper, sang a hymn, and went to the Mount of Olives and the Garden of Gethsemane.   It is a blessing to know that Jesus left the room singing and rejoicing, not complaining, weeping, or afraid because He was headed to the cross.   It was the Jewish custom to sing the Hallel (Psa. 113-118) and the Great Hallel (Psa. 136) after they finished the Passover meal, so most scholars believe Jesus and His disciples sang these Psalms on the night of the Last Supper.   The word “Hallel” is the first part of the word “Hallelujah,” and it means praise.   “Jah” is short for Yahweh (Jehovah or God).   Hallelujah or Allelujah means “praise the Lord” or “praise God.”   Here are some selected verses from Psa. 118 with my comments.   “Let them now that fear the LORD say, that his mercy endureth for ever” (Vs. 4).   ·       Let those that respect God say His mercy will never end.   “I called upon the Lord in distress: the LORD answered me” (Vs. 5).   ·       Jesus was sweating great drops of blood in Gethsemane, He prayed, and God sent angels to strengthen Him.   “The LORD is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me” (Vs. 6).   ·       With God on our side, we cannot be defeated.   “All nations compassed me about: but in the name of the LORD will I destroy them” (Vs. 10).   ·       The days of those that reject God are numbered.   “The LORD is my strength and song, and is become my salvation” (Vs. 14).   ·       I sing about God, the source of my strength and salvation.   “I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the LORD” (Vs. 17)   ·       I will not permanently die, but will live again and declare what God has done.   “The LORD hath chastened me sore: but he hath not given me over unto death” (Vs. 18).   ·       God sent me to the cross, but the cross won’t be the end of me. “The stone which the builders refused is become the head stone of the corner” (Vs. 22).   ·       God sent His Son to be the main stone in a spiritual house, but the Jews rejected Him, so He has been made the main stone in another spiritual house called the Church.   “This is the LORD’S doing; it is marvellous in our eyes” (Vs. 23).   ·       The death of Jesus was the wonderful work of God.   Hallelujah!   Here are some stories that recently made the news.   One, on Oct. 13, 2022, Yitzchak Weiss, the principal of a music school in Israel, got 600 Jewish men from the Tribe of Levi (descendants of Aaron the priest that served at the Temple in Old Testament Times) to gather on the steps going up to the Temple Mount to rehearse music for a Temple service.   The group practiced a medley from the Hallel (Psa. 113-118), and the event was co-sponsored by the city of Jerusalem.   Levites stopped singing when the Temple was destroyed in 70 A.D., but Weiss wants Levites to start singing again and be ready to sing, if called upon, during services at the rebuilt Temple.   It is doubtful that they realize the full significance of singing the Hallel, but God can bring good from it.   Jesus is the only permanent sacrifice for sin, but the sooner the Jews rebuild the Temple and restart the worship services, the sooner their blinding will cease, and the sooner all Israel will be saved.   Two, concerning forcing people to take a Mark to buy and sell: in 2021, Florida (Fla.) passed a law banning cruise lines from requiring passengers to be vaccinated to go on a cruise.   The Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings sued, and a U.S. District Judge ruled that Fla.’s law was unconstitutional.   Fla. appealed the U.S. District Judge’s ruling, and on Oct. 6, 2022, the 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals reversed it.   The Chief Judge of the 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals wrote, “Without this statute, unvaccinated Floridians risk being turned away from the businesses that make their lives possible — grocery stores, restaurants, fitness gyms, clothing stores, barber shops and hair salons, and even pharmacies.”   In my words, the Judge said if it wasn’t for this law, businesses could refuse to let people buy and sell, and that is unconstitutional discrimination.   Three, concerning the Ten Kings (the division of the world into ten groups of nations before the Antichrist appears): on Oct. 14, 2022, the Independent Sentinel posted an article that said, “George Soros, Hillary Clinton, and John Podesta have all suggested we should unite into a North American Union. . .. A North American Union moves us quickly towards a one-world government under UN governance.”   According to the article, “Matt Gaetz [a congressman from Fla.] reported that Secretary of State Antony Blinken called for a North American Union like the EU that would allow free transit across borders with tyrannical Canada and narco-terrorist Mexico.”   Also, on Oct. 14, 2022, Fox News host Tucker Carlson (Tucker Carlson Tonight) interviewed Gaetz about this, and Gaetz said he wrote Blinken about it, but Blinken didn’t respond.   On Oct. 17, 2022, an article posted by The New American said, “since Blinken speaks for the Biden administration, it’s fair to assume this is now unofficial federal policy.”   I have long said that the UN has made the EU the pattern for Ten groups or regions of nations that will produce the Ten Kings.   According to The New American article, Carlson said, “So the European Union has not really worked out well for Europe, and we’ll know the details this winter when people are freezing. So naturally, the Biden administration wants to create something very much like that in North America: an EU [European Union] style government.”   The purpose of groups or regions having an EU-type government is that it will be easier to merge them into a one-world government if they are all structured alike.   Four, concerning the Battle of Gog and Magog: on Oct. 17, 2022, Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation (#2 position in Russia), wrote on Telegram, “It seems Israel will supply weapons to the Kyiv regime. A very reckless move. It will destroy all diplomatic relations between our countries.”   Five, concerning the distress of nations with perplexity (Luke 21:25): on Oct. 16, 2022, about 140,000 people marched in Paris, France, to protest rising prices and EU policies that caused them.   On Sept. 3, 2022, more than 100,000 people marched in Prague, Czech., to protest the sanctions against Russia and high energy prices.   World leaders are expecting more large protests in the future over the worsening living conditions (inflation, food and energy shortages, etc.).   Six, concerning world government: on Oct. 16, 2022, it was reported that Pope Francis believes the UN needs to be reformed, and he believes the world needs a new economic system.   According to the Bible, the UN will be reformed and brought under the leadership of Ten Kings, and there will be a new global economic system that the False Prophet and Antichrist will use to institute the Mark of the Beast.   Pope Francis is either one of the most Biblically illiterate popes ever or one of the most evil.   He regularly supports policies that Satan’s Antichrist and False Prophet support.   Seven, concerning a falling away or a departing from the faith in the Church: on Oct. 15, 2022, it was announced that Pope Francis has appointed a non-Catholic, pro-abortion, pro-globalist, self-described atheist to the Pontifical Academy for Life (a group that promotes Catholic teachings on medical issues).   Pope Francis has appointed pro-abortion, pro-gay, pro-globalist people to other positions in the Roman Catholic Church before.   Eight, concerning Biden’s weakening America and Build Back Better goal: on Oct. 18, 2022, the Heritage Foundation released its “2023 Index of U.S. Military Strength,” in which they rated the U.S. military as weak.   According to the Heritage Foundation report, “the military’s ability to fulfill its primary mission is in jeopardy.”   Our Commander in Chief has our military focusing on Climate Change, gay rights, many of our troops are women who are not as strong as men and get sick a lot, recruiters can’t meet their goals, etc.   America is losing respect all over the world.   Finally, are you Rapture Ready?   If you want to be rapture ready and go to heaven, you must be born again (John 3:3). God loves you, and if you have not done so, sincerely admit that you are a sinner; believe that Jesus is the virgin-born, sinless Son of God who died for the sins of the world, was buried, and raised from the dead; ask Him to forgive your sins, cleanse you, come into your heart and be your Saviour; then tell someone that you have done this.   duck_daymond@yahoo.com

At 8:15 am local time (11:15 pm in Washington) the United States dropped an atomic bomb called “Little Boy” on a Japanese city. While still aboard ship returning from the Allied conference at Potsdam, President Truman released this statement. “Sixteen hours ago an American airplane dropped one bomb on Hiroshima…. That bomb had more power than 20,000 tons of T.N.T…. It is an atomic bomb. It is a harnessing of the basic power of the universe.”   According to the National WWII Museum, “The temperature at ground level reached 7,000 degrees Fahrenheit in less than a second. The bomb vaporized people half a mile away from ground zero. Bronze statues melted, roof tiles fused together, and the exposed skin of people miles away burned from the intense infrared energy unleashed. At least 80,000 people died instantly.”   When students of scripture heard about the level of destruction imposed on Hiroshima, the descriptions reminded many of them of things they had read before — prophetic passages from the Bible. The difference was that the Bible describes such events as more widespread on the earth than one or two cities. Hiroshima and Nagasaki did not fulfill the prophecies, but they gave a chilling picture of how such prophecies might be fulfilled.   The book of Zechariah was written more than 2,500 years ago. In chapter 14, verse 12 it vividly describes what happened to thousands at Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945. “Their flesh shall dissolve while they stand on their feet, Their eyes shall dissolve in their sockets, And their tongues shall dissolve in their mouths.” We know it happens instantly because it happens while they are still standing. The word translated “dissolve” literally means “to melt.” A better reading of the verse would say, “Their flesh will melt while they stand on their feet, and their eyes will melt in their sockets, and their tongues will melt in their mouths.”   In giving a timeline of the bombings, the Atomic Heritage Foundation says that within a second of detonation, the superheated air above the ground glowed. “A woman sitting on steps on the bank of the Ota river, a half a mile away from ground zero, instantly vaporizes.”   Many of the Bible’s “nuclear war” prophecies take place during what we usually call the tribulation — the final seven years before Christ’s return. Jesus promises to catch away the Church before the tribulation begins. That’s good news for His followers. But the Bible does not say that all nuclear war must take place in those seven years. It has already happened outside those years, and it can happen again at any point.   A month ago, the threat of nuclear weapons being used on a modern battlefield had risen to a simmer. It’s now beginning to boil. Russian television is working hard to prepare the Russian people for the use of what are called battlefield nuclear weapons. We’re not talking about the bombs attached to intercontinental ballistic missiles hitting New York or London. We’re talking about smaller and more portable nukes used against cities like Kyiv. Here’s the conundrum. The United States cannot allow Russia to get away with such attacks. But if it responds with direct military intervention, it will have just unleashed World War III.   Exactly 60 years ago, we were in the middle of what is now known as the Cuban Missile Crisis. It was the closest the world has yet come to a nuclear cataclysm. On October 6th of this year, the President of the United States said this is the worst it has been since then.   We have already entered the period known in the Bible as “perilous times.” They are perilous because unthinkable bombs are aimed at our great cities by people who seem just mad enough to use them. They are perilous because lawlessness has already taken over some of those same cities. And they are perilous because humanity’s war with its Creator is now being fought among the smallest of children.   It is not our job to figure out the day or hour of the Lord’s coming. But Jesus did tell us to understand the times and the seasons in which we live. Whatever we hope to accomplish for Christ and His Kingdom in this life, we must do with urgency.

5 Signs That The War Between Russia And NATO Is About To Spiral Out Of Control - by Michael Snyder - http://endoftheamericandream.com/5-signs-that-the-war-between-russia-and-nato-is-about-to-spiral-out-of-control/   Have you ever found yourself completely losing your temper in the middle of a heated struggle of some sort? Whether it is a hotly contested sporting event, an actual fist fight or a bitter battle against an online foe, it can be way too easy to lose your temper. And when tempers flare, you can end up losing control and doing things that you deeply regret later. Unfortunately, the same thing is true on an international level. Russia and NATO have both become absolutely obsessed with “winning” in Ukraine, and leaders on both sides are getting angrier and angrier. And when leaders become extremely angry, they can do really stupid things.   I have been extremely alarmed by some of the events that have transpired over the past week. Hotheads in Russia and hotheads in the western world just continue to escalate the conflict in Ukraine, and we are getting dangerously close to a point of no return.   The following are 5 signs that the war between Russia and NATO is about to spiral out of control…   #1 A “Dirty Bomb”?   There had been a lot of chatter about the possibility that Russia could start using tactical nukes in Ukraine, and now the Russians are alleging that the Ukrainians are preparing to detonate a “dirty bomb” in their own territory in order to motivate the western powers to get even more involved in the conflict…   Russia’s defense chief on Sunday alleged that Ukraine was preparing a “provocation” involving a radioactive device, a stark claim that reflected soaring tensions as Moscow struggles to stem Ukrainian advances in the south and is building defensive positions in anticipation of Ukrainian offensives elsewhere.   Russia’s Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu made the allegations in phone calls with his counterparts from Britain, France and Turkey. He also spoke to U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin in their second call in three days, but a terse Russian readout of that call didn’t say whether the dirty bomb claim was also mentioned in their conversation.   #2 The U.S. 101st Airborne Division Gets Deployed To Eastern Europe   The 101st Airborne Division is one of the most famous units in the history of the U.S. military, and I was quite stunned to learn that they have just been deployed to Europe “for the first time in almost 80 years”…   The U.S. Army’s 101st Airborne Division has been deployed to Europe for the first time in almost 80 years amid soaring tension between Russia and the American-led NATO military alliance. The light infantry unit, nicknamed the “Screaming Eagles,” is trained to deploy on any battlefield in the world within hours, ready to fight.   For now, the “Screaming Eagles” are involved in “exercises” near the Ukrainian border, but CBS News is reporting that they are “prepared to cross the border into Ukraine” if that becomes necessary…   The “Screaming Eagles” commanders told CBS News repeatedly that they are always “ready to fight tonight,” and while they’re there to defend NATO territory, if the fighting escalates or there’s any attack on NATO, they’re fully prepared to cross the border into Ukraine.   #3 A Million Rounds Of Ammunition   The U.S. has never armed anyone like they are arming the Ukrainians.   If you can believe it, we have already given Ukraine “over a million rounds of howitzer ammunition” since the beginning of the war…   The U.S. has now provided Ukraine with over a million rounds of howitzer ammunition since it began shipping arms to the embattled nation to aid its fight against Russia, according to the latest figures from the Defense Department.   That includes up to 903,000 standard 155mm howitzer rounds as well as 3,000 M982 Excalibur guided rounds, 7,000 Remote Anti-Armor Mine System (RAAMS) projectiles, and 180,000 105mm howitzer shells.   And it appears that much more help will soon be on the way.   Right now, a new “aid package” is being readied in Congress which would give the Ukrainians another 50 billion dollars in assistance…   The new aid package, which most likely would be part of an omnibus spending bill, could be within the range of roughly $50 billion, congressional aides and a source close to the Ukraine government said.   #4 Iranian Troops In Ukraine?   A lot of “mercenaries” from western nations have been fighting alongside the Ukrainians for a long time, and now the U.S. is alleging that Iranian troops have actually entered Ukraine and are “directly engaged on the ground” in an effort to help the Russians…   Iranian troops are “directly engaged on the ground” in Crimea supporting Russian drone attacks on Ukraine’s infrastructure and civilian population, the White House has said.   The US government has confirmed that Russian attacks have employed unmanned aerial vehicles purchased from Tehran in attacks carried out against Ukrainian targets from bases on the peninsula that Russia annexed from Ukraine in 2014, National Security Council spokesperson John Kirby said.   This conflict in Ukraine is becoming more of a “world war” with each passing day.   We know that the Russians have been using Iranian drones to strike targets all over Ukraine in recent days, and that should deeply trouble all of us.   Speaking of Iran, I just learned that their military has been “conducting large-scale military drills on its border with Azerbaijan”…   Iran’s military is conducting large-scale military drills on its border with Azerbaijan, including practicing crossings of the Aras River, which defines a large part of the border between the two states.   The exercises, called “Mighty Iran,” began on October 17. The exact location has not been specified, but Iranian media placed them in between Iran’s provinces of Ardabil and East Azerbaijan, the part of Iran across the Aras from Azerbaijan’s Fuzuli region. One expert on open-source intelligence, however, analyzed photos of the pontoon crossing and placed it across from Azerbaijan’s exclave of Nakhchivan.   The Iranians have been getting really aggressive lately.   And I have a feeling that a direct conflict between Iran and Israel will begin sooner rather than later.   #5 Relentless Bombing Of Power Infrastructure   The Russians have decided to take the gloves off.   They have started relentlessly bombing electrical infrastructure all over Ukraine, and this threatens to create a major humanitarian crisis because winter is rapidly approaching…   Missiles and drones are being used to rain down upon key civilian infrastructure targets – mainly power stations – as the weather gets colder and days get darker.   It is believed Russia hopes by doing so they may be able to make Kyiv lose hope and give up the defence on their homeland.   Kyrylo Tymoshenko, a key advisor to President Volodymyr Zelensky, confirmed there are now an estimated 1.5 million people without power across Ukraine.   Both sides just continue to escalate matters, and it is just a matter of time before someone pushes things a little bit too far.   Even now, it is really difficult to see a peaceful way out of this mess.   The Biden administration seems to be completely opposed to any peace talks with the Russians, and I believe that is a tragic mistake.   If both sides just continue to get angrier, at some point someone is going to be really tempted to resort to nuclear weapons.   And once that happens, our world will never be the same again.   Unfortunately, our leaders don’t seem to understand that we could literally be on the brink of a nuclear conflict.   They are so determined to “win” this current battle on the global chessboard that they can’t even see the bigger picture.   Sadly, we have reached a stage where one wrong move could unleash death and destruction on a scale that most of us don’t even want to imagine.

All These Things… - Terry James - https://terryjamesprophecyline.com/2022/10/23/all-these-things/   The entire Bible is Jesus speaking.   He is the Word (John 1: 1). Each of the writers was inspired by Jesus, through the Holy Spirit, to speak and or pen what is written in God’s love letter to mankind.   However, the words spoken directly by the Lord Jesus while He was here on earth penetrate even more deeply into our spiritual hearts. This is especially the case, for me at least, when He talks about prophecy to be fulfilled as the time of His Return nears.   When considering the Olivet Discourse given by Christ, laid out in the books of Matthew, Mark, and Luke, I believe everything wrapped up within His words comes into phenomenal focus in the following:   “And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh” (Luke 21: 28).   Seminaries most often hold that the Olivet Discourse is almost exclusively for the House of Israel–for the Jews. It is said to have nothing to do with prophecy for our time that is leading to the Rapture. As a matter of fact, those within seminary academia generally pooh-pooh the notion of the Rapture being in view within Jesus’ message on the Mount of Olives.   Dave Hunt, one of the great prophecy teachers, I remember vividly, spoke about the topic of the Olivet Discourse and the Rapture of the Church.   It was in 1998 early one morning in Dallas at the annual Pre-Trib meetings. Dave was assigned the topic: Is the Rapture in the Olivet Discourse?   I know the title of his presentation and his precise words not because I was there that morning (I was), but because I have a full audio and transcript of that lecture.   Dave said: “Well, I’d like to talk on the topic ‘The pre-Trib Rapture in the Olivet Discourse.’ I couldn’t quite handle that question. I couldn’t justify why there ought to be any question at all…why the pre-Trib Rapture, or the Rapture, or the Church, or anything else was in the Olivet Discourse.”   Dave proceeded, then, to lay out as well as anyone ever has done, that the Rapture is indeed spoken of in the Olivet Discourse.   I could only say “Amen!” that morning. And I still say “Amen!” today. There is just no question to my understanding that Jesus had the Rapture and the Church in mind that day on the Mount of Olives when he dealt with the end of the age and His return in the clouds of glory some seven years later.    When Jesus instructed us (believers) to “look up” and “lift up our heads” when we see “all these things,” for our “redemption is drawing near,” He was talking about the Rapture. “All these things” will, then, obviously be in view—that is, they will have begun to come to pass—at some future time. Those alive at that future time, it is also obvious, will be given the ability to recognize the apocalyptic signals when they begin appearing.   It is more than obvious to those who look at the issues and events boiling to the surface of these strange times that “all these things” spoken of by Jesus are coming into focus in a truly profound way.      The so-called two-state solution as part of the increasingly demanded nucleus of a peace process speaks directly to the forewarning given in Joel 3:2. It is just such dividing of God’s chosen land that will cause Him, in his wrath, to bring all nations to the killing fields of Megiddo. We watch daily, even hourly, while the pressures build on Israel to relent and give land for peace.   It is not the leadership of Israel who has authority to acquiesce to the anti-God world of diplomacy. The land upon which the present-day Israel sits–and much, much more surrounding land—is God’s alone to do with as He determines. And He determines that it will not be divided–not without the most serious consequences ever to be meted out by heavenly judgment.   Yet Israeli interim Prime Minister Yair Lapid, on September 22, 2022 informed the UN General Assembly that he endorses a two-state solution. This is a stark development with regard to bringing to pass Joel 3:2. It seems an opening that will ultimately bring the Antichrist covenant confirmation of Daniel 9: 26-27.   And, as part of that beast regime we see in development, “all these things” are moving with amazing swiftness.   The onslaught of Klaus Schwab’s World Economic Forum and the entire globalists-elite cabal to bring the world’s populations under their despotic thumb are nothing short of astonishing. The words, spewed freely by Schwab’s right hand man Yuval Noah Harari, mock the very name of Jesus Christ while he declares there is no God, and that man is his own god-creator. He declares that the computer and all other technologies from the creative brains of mankind will be melded soon with artificial intelligence—and all that is being developed renders any deity as myth and legend.    Spinning from “all these things” is the demanded new economic order that will be based on no telling what. Certainly, it will entail–as Harari and others proclaim—the merging of the very cellular makeup of human genetics with nano bio-engineering elements to bring about the complete control system of Revelation 13:16–18—the 666 marks-and-numbering system.   We won’t even go for now into the matters involving Russia and the coalition of nation-states north of Israel that are shaping for fulfillment of Ezekiel’s Gog-Magog assault.   “All these things” that are deluging our lives at this very moment have at their center the almost incomprehensible evil and wickedness of the Genesis 6 account of the antediluvians. The corruption Satan and his minions are overtly attempting through pharmaceutical-DNA manipulation and through the transhuman, gender-morphing madness can bring no other bottom-line conclusion to the prophecy watcher of the pre-Trib view.   Jesus was speaking to our time…to this moment in history.   Now a late breaking matter has come to our attention. Although the things involved would in normal times smack of conspiracy, we should rule nothing out in this, one of the most critical elections in U.S. history. The powers of evil directly confront the Power of God on most every level at this crucial moment.   Sources that have credibility in the thinking of a number of those in the intelligence community (former and even present U.S. government officials) believe that there is evidence to suggest Former President Donald Trump might be arrested just prior to the mid-term elections of November 8. –Thus, to prevent that election process from taking place. Such would be the ultimate October surprise, as the now traditional political wickedness terms it. Certainly, we must pray this isn’t allowed to happen.   Of course, the truly Ultimate Surprise will be when Christ Calls His Bride, the Church, from this Judgment-bound planet.   Therefore, it is time, as never before, to be “looking up”–because, observably, all these things are right in our faces. Our redemption is drawing near!

Daily Jot: The cure that’s worse than the cause - Bill Wilson – www.dailyjot.com   The Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) voted unanimously on October 20 to recommend the Centers for Disease Control add COVID 19 vaccines to the 2023 schedule of child and adolescent immunization schedules. The Moderna, Pfizer, and Novavax serums were accepted by the ACIP despite the “vaccines” being experimental, exponentially waning effectiveness, and the very fact that they do not prevent the infection of COVID 19 nor the spread of it. Additionally, children and adolescents were least affected by COVID during the pandemic. Yet, academics on the ACIP believe the serums will prevent “serious disease and death,” which is the big pharma narrative.   Moderna has launched a full-scale advertising campaign for its COVID vaccine. In August-September, Moderna sponsored the US Open. According to Medical Marketing and Media, “Moderna is sponsoring the U.S. Open tennis tournament to show fans its work doesn’t stop at vaccinating people against COVID-19.” September 9 was Moderna night, when the company displayed digital advertisements through the stadium in Queens, NY during the men’s second semifinals match. Moderna encouraged spectators to visit Moderna’s website to learn more about mRNA science. Those watching on ESPN from home saw an ad featuring tennis legend Billie Jean King as she promotes mRNA and Moderna. Commercials can be seen during major prime time network programming as Moderna is sponsoring Jeopardy.   At the end of the Moderna commercial is a disclaimer that is shown for about three-tenths of a second, saying, “The vaccine may not be for everyone Please consult with your doctor to determine eligibility.” That’s an understatement. Vaccine injury causing myocarditis or pericarditis among youth increased from about 1 in 23,000 for 12-15 year-old males in August 2021 to about 1 in 6,600 as of September 1, 2022. Another study by Yale researchers published in the European Journal of Clinical Investigation concludes that Cardiac Adverse Event rates for 12-17 year-old males exceeds their expected 120-day COVID-19 hospitalization rates for both moderate and high incidence. Another study published in the American Heart Association’s “Circulation” indicated researchers confirmed the link between myocarditis deaths and COVID vaccines.   Actuaries of OneAmerica, a 145-year-old Indiana life insurance company, documented a 2021 death rate increase of 40% from pre-pandemic levels, with an alarming majority of deaths in primarily working-age people 18-64. Collaborating studies indicate excess deaths at 16% or higher among vaccinated people. It is inconceivable that academics, doctors, the CDC or FDA would recommend mandating these vaccines to youngsters. Consider pulling your kids out of public school. The risk of vaccine injury or death continues to increase as data pours in. The Bible tells the story of a man no one ever expected to later become a Christian. His name was Matthew, and he had an unexpected and instantaneous conversion. In a moment, he left his world as he knew it.   Why was there such an immediate change in Matthew? As we look at his life, we don’t find any record of Jesus having any conversations with him before calling him. We don’t know of any time when Matthew would have seen a miracle performed by the Lord Himself.   Yet Matthew responded to two words that forever changed his life: “Follow me.” And Matthew did just that.   Matthew was in a profession that very few liked. He was a tax collector, a man who was working for Rome and had betrayed his own people. But Matthew understood the significance of Jesus’ words. And when Jesus told Matthew to follow Him, Matthew was prepared to do just that.   In the original Bible language, “Follow me” means “Walk the same road with me.” It’s also in the present tense, commanding the beginning of an action and its habitual continuation. Putting it all together, Jesus was saying, “I am asking you, even commanding you, to follow me each and every day.”   Jesus is saying the same to us right now. Let’s walk the same road together. Let’s take this journey through life together. Let’s finish what we’ve started. So many begin following Christ with great excitement, only to give up later. Yet, the apostle Paul talked about finishing his race with joy (see Acts 20:24 NKJV). That should be the objective of every follower of Jesus.

Israel’s Future Restoration Validates Our Hope as New Testament Saints – Jonathan Brentner - https://www.jonathanbrentner.com/https/jonathan-brentner-g8fgsquarespacecom/config/2022/10/24/israels-future-restoration-validates-our-glorious-hope   “Israel’s future guarantees our salvation.”   Amir Tsarfati began his sermon with these words while speaking a few years ago at Calvary Chapel Church in Kaneohe, Hawaii, JD Farag’s church. As I listened to his message and thought about his startling claim, I realized his assertion was totally correct.   In my book, The Triumph of the Redeemed, I wrote the following:   “Consider this: If God can break His covenants with such Old Testament champions of the faith as Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and David, what does that say about His promises regarding our salvation? If God can renege on His unconditional promises to Israel, ones He repeated many times throughout the writings of the prophets and in the Psalms, what does that say about our security?”[i]   As I demonstrated in my previous post, both Israel’s future and our security as New Testament saints rest upon both God’s promises and character. Those who believe that God has replaced Israel spiritually with the church (the essence of replacement theology), also erode our hope in Jesus’ imminent return for His church because our expectation also rests upon the veracity of God’s Word and His attributes.   That’s why I always begin my defense of the pre-Tribulation Rapture with biblical evidence regarding the Lord’s future restoration of a kingdom to Israel. It’s the first step in validating our glorious hope in Jesus’ appearing.   We know that God will someday restore a kingdom to Israel because:   1. THE FATHER CANNOT BREAK HIS PROMISE TO HIS SON.   In Psalm 2:7-8, we read this promise of the Father to the Son,   “The Lord said to me, ‘You are my Son; today I have begotten you. Ask of me, and I will make the nations your heritage, and the ends of the earth your possession.’”   The pledge of the Father to the Son in these verses verifies that there will be a reign of Jesus on the earth at a time when sin is possible as evidenced by the need for the Lord to exercise severe discipline during His rule.   The context clarifies that this is a physical rule over the nations of the world during which time Jesus brandishes a “rod of iron” and dashes the nations “in pieces like a potter’s vessel” (Psalm 2:9-10).   Psalm 2 cannot apply spiritually to the church age since Jesus never deals with believers in such a manner. Nor can it represent Jesus’ rule in the eternal state since sin is present.   The only possible fulfillment for the words of Psalm 2 is the future thousand-year rule of Christ, which we refer to as the millennium because of the repeated reference to a thousand years in Revelation 20:1-10.   2. A FUTURE RESTORED ISRAEL MAINTAINS THE INTEGRITY OF SCRIPTURE   One cannot deny the reality of a restored kingdom for Israel and at the same time interpret the prophetic words of Scripture in the way the authors intended them at the time they wrote them.   Zechariah prophesied about a time after Jesus’ crucifixion when a great number of the Israelites would repent and recognize Jesus as their Messiah. Using references in the context that cannot apply to anyone else, the prophet foresaw a time when Jacob’s descendants would recognize the One “they have pierced” as their true Messiah and weep signifying their regret and repentance (Zech. 12:10-13:1).   Zechariah 14:9 later depicts the Lord as “king over all the earth.” This occurs in Jerusalem during a time when rebellion remains possible on the earth (see vv. 16-19). The prophet is not talking about a spiritual reign, nor can one apply these words to the eternal state since there’s again the possibility of disobedience and sin in the context. The words must refer to Jesus’ reign over the nations from Jerusalem.   If Scripture can mean one thing when written and have an entirely different sense at a later time, then we would no longer be able to trust it. That’s why we must reject the retrofitting of God’s promises to Israel in order to make them apply spiritually to the church.   3. THE CONSISTENCY OF BIBLICAL INTERPRETATION   When Dr. David Reagan, Bible Scholar and founder of the Lamb and Lion Ministry, appeared on Jan Markell’s radio show, he explained how he came to believe in a future restoration of the nation of Israel. It happened as he noticed how Jesus literally fulfilled all the prophecies in the book of Zechariah related to His first coming. That led Dr. Reagan to conclude that there must be a literal fulfillment for the prophecies that remained unfulfilled regarding Israel and Jesus’ future reign.   The consistency of Bible interpretation demands that we apply a literal interpretation to texts that speak of a future restoration of Israel.   Isaiah 9:6-7 shows how consistency of interpretation necessitates Christ’s millennial rule. Those who deny a future for Israel agree that Jesus fulfilled this passage when He came into the world as a baby in Bethlehem. However, they switch to a much different mode of interpretation and suddenly regard words in this closely knit text regarding Christ’s future rule from the “throne of David” as merely symbolic.   If that is the case, why would the angel Gabriel repeat these words from this passage when he announced the Savior’s birth to Mary (Luke 1:32-33)? Why would he tell Mary that Jesus would “reign over the house of Jacob forever” if the passage in Isaiah is symbolic rather than literal? These words relate to a physical kingdom, which is the only possible way that Mary could have understood the words of Gabriel at the time.   4. THE SUN IS SHINING OUTSIDE MY OFFICE WINDOW   Lest you think I’m crazy for including this as an argument for Israel’s future restoration, let me refer you to Jeremiah 31:35-40.   Those who subscribe to the errant teaching that God has replaced Israel with the church, tell us that the descendants of Jacob no longer exist as a viable nation in God’s sight. The Lord Himself nixes such teaching in Jeremiah 31:35-36:   Thus says the LORD, who gives the sun for light by day    and the fixed order of the moon and the stars for light by night, who stirs up the sea so that its waves roar—    the Lord of hosts is his name: “If this fixed order departs    from before me, declares the Lord, then shall the offspring of Israel cease    from being a nation before me forever.”   According to the words of the Lord, the continuing existence of the sun, moon, and stars tell us that Israel remains a nation in His sight. And as if He anticipated those who would seek a faulty spiritual interpretation of this these words, God added a physical description of places in and around Jerusalem stating that after the city’s future restoration, “It shall not be plucked up or overthrown anymore forever” (Jeremiah 31:38-40).   So yes, the sun shining outside my window today confirms Israel’s continuing existence as a nation because the Lord gave us that as one of the signs of it.   5. DENYING WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS ABOUT ISRAEL’S RESTORATION OPENS THE DOOR TO HERESY   History demonstrates that over time, replacement theology leads to a further erosion of biblical truth thereby opening the door to further doctrinal error. When one retrofits biblical texts in order to make the physical prophecies of a kingdom apply spiritually to the church rather than physically to Israel, it always erodes the integrity of God’s Word. Such teaching always, always leads to heresy over time!   The events of January of 2020 show how such denying a kingdom for Israel leads to a further erosion of biblical truth. It was then that churches in Scotland and England, long immersed replacement theology, disinvited Franklin Graham to speak because of his views on the LGBTQ agenda. Bryan Kerr, a Church of Scotland pastor in Lanark said this, “Franklin Graham isn’t the voice of Christianity.”   Replacement theology, amillennialism, always, over time, opens the door to heresy. Without fail.   The apostle Paul clearly stated that “God has not rejected Israel” (Romans 11:1-2). The proponents of replacement theology tell us that the Lord has rejected Israel. Can you see from just thus one example how this errant doctrine erodes confidence in the words of Scripture and later leads to heresy?   6. GOD SAYS THAT HIS COVENANT OF THE LAND WITH ISRAEL IS EVERLASTING   God could not have made it any clearer than He did in Chronicles 16:14-16 and Psalm 105:8-11. In these texts, the Lord states that His covenant of the land with Abraham, Isaac, and the descendants of Jacob remains in effect forever. Why would God say it’s “an everlasting covenant” if he did not intend us to understand it “as an everlasting covenant?”   If the Lord says something is “everlasting,” it’s exactly that! It just doesn’t just go away because of bad behavior or reach fulfillment in some other mysterious way. The promise of the Land for the descendants of Jacob remains in effect today.   7. THE SEVENTIETH WEEK OF DANIEL 9:24-27 REMAINS UNFULFILLED TO THS DAY   In a previous post, The Biblical Necessity of a Third Jewish Temple, I follow the thread of prophecies from Daniel 9:27 through the New Testament demonstrating that Daniel’s prophecy regarding the antichrist’s desecration of a future Jewish temple remains unfulfilled. Please go to this post for a thorough argument as to why the seventieth week of Daniel, something exclusively for Israel, remains unfulfilled.   Since the antichrist’s sacrilege of the Jewish temple during this final week of years remains unfulfilled, the entire seventieth week of Daniel 9:24-27 also awaits a future fulfillment. The full scope of God’s purposes for choosing Israel has not yet reached completion.   There must be a time when God’s attention returns to the descendants of Jacob. This alone makes it impossible for one to claim that God has replaced Israel with the church.   8. JESUS’ RESPONSE TO THE DISCIPLES’ QUESTION VERIFIES GOD’S INTENT TO RESTORE ISRAEL   In Acts 1:6, the disciples asked Jesus this question moments before His ascension; “Lord, will you at this time restore the kingdom to Israel” (Acts 1:6)?   The Savior responded to their question with these words, “It is not for you to know times or seasons that the Father has fixed by his own authority.” (Acts 1:7)   Please notice that Jesus did not contradict, ridicule, or refute the premise of their question that He would restore a kingdom to Israel. Instead, He simply told his disciples they could not know the timing of this restoration as it was something the Father alone had “fixed by his own authority.”   In the Old Testament, the Lord repeatedly promised to “restore the fortunes” of Israel. The disciples had a firm scriptural basis for their question regarding the future restoration of Israel, one that Jesus did not refute or contradict.   9. ISRAEL’S MIRACULOUS REEMERGENCE AS A NATION IS A NECESSARY FIRST STEP IN THE FULFILLMENT OF END TIME PROPHECY   Besides the above reasons, we recognize God’s hand at work in the miraculous emergence of Israel as a nation in 1948 and in God’s supernatural defense and preservation of the nation ever since that time.   Perhaps the most tragic error of those that promote replacement theology is that they remain blind to the signs of the time and don’t believe that we live in the last days. They fail to see that Israel’s reappearance as a nation was a necessary first step in the fulfillment of end time biblical prophecy.   Just as the Lord keeps His covenants with and promises to Israel, He will also keep His Word to us and will someday catch us up to meet Him in the air (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18). 12 Reasons Why It Is Impossible for Any Rational Person To Be Optimistic About The U.S. Economy At This Point - by Michael Snyder - http://theeconomiccollapseblog.com/12-reasons-why-it-is-impossible-for-any-rational-person-to-be-optimistic-about-the-u-s-economy-at-this-point/   Things haven’t looked this bad for the U.S. economy since 2008. We are in the midst of the worst inflation crisis in decades, the housing market has started to collapse, some of the largest companies in America have begun laying off workers, and economic activity is slowing down all around us. Of course, Joe Biden is telling us that our economy is “strong as hell”, but that is just because he wants his party to do well in the upcoming elections. Ultimately, anyone that takes a truly objective view of things is forced to admit that the outlook for the months ahead is incredibly bleak. The following are 12 reasons why it is impossible for any rational person to be optimistic about the U.S. economy at this point…   #1 According to a recent Gallup survey, two-thirds of Americans believe that economic conditions are getting worse. When such a large proportion of the population starts behaving as though an economic downturn is coming, that actually makes an economic downturn even more likely. So many Americans are starting to hold on to their money more tightly, and that is having lots of ripple effects.   #2 The second largest auto lender in the United States just announced that it “saw charge-offs for retail auto loans quadruple in the third quarter”. We are also seeing credit card delinquencies start to rise. We certainly aren’t at 2008 levels yet, but we are moving in that direction.   #3 Cargo traffic at the Port of Los Angeles just declined to the lowest level that we have seen since the early days of the pandemic. As I noted earlier, economic activity is beginning to slow down all over the nation. One recent survey discovered that 98 percent of corporate CEOs believe that a recession is coming, and those CEOs are behaving accordingly.   #4 Major retailers such as Walmart and Target have been canceling billions of dollars in orders as they seek to cut back inventory levels. In all my years, I have never seen our largest retailers cancel so many orders just prior to the holiday season. Are they expecting the next couple of months to be a total bust?   #5 Existing home sales just fell to a 10 year low. We all knew that the housing market was going to implode once the Federal Reserve started to aggressively raise interest rates, but at this point that implosion is happening faster than most of the experts had anticipated.   #6 U.S. homebuilder sentiment has declined for 10 months in a row. That is a brand new record. I really feel sorry for you if you are a homebuilder or if you work for one. The months ahead are not going to be pleasant for you.   #7 60,000 real estate deals were called off in the month of September alone. I was stunned when I first saw that number. All over the country buyers are realizing that they agreed to pay too much and are feverishly trying to back out of deals while they still can.   #8 Mortgage demand has plunged to the lowest level in 25 years. Things never even got this bad during the downturn of 2008 and 2009. To me, this is a really troubling sign.   #9 Ian Sheperdson, the chief economist at Pantheon Macroeconomics, is projecting that home prices could fall 20 percent over the next year. Hopefully that will not happen, but there is also a possibility that they could fall even further than that. We will just have to wait and see how rapidly this new crisis plays out.   #10 U.S. diesel inventories have fallen to the lowest level since 2008. This is something that we will want to watch very carefully, because the U.S. economy runs on diesel.   #11 The core consumer price index has just surged to “the highest level since 1982”. Even though the Federal Reserve has been on an insane rate hiking spree, our inflation crisis continues to rage out of control. And as prices continue to soar, our standard of living is being absolutely eviscerated.   #12 A model created by Bloomberg economists Anna Wong and Eliza Winger indicates that there is a 100 percent chance of a recession within the next 12 months. Of course it is entirely possible that their model could be wrong. But without a doubt this is not a good sign.   Right now, even some of our society’s most relentless optimists are warning that tough economic times are ahead.   For instance, in a post on Twitter Elon Musk just suggested that we could be suffering through a recession until the spring of 2024…   If Elon Musk is any type of financial prognosticator, the market and economy could be in trouble for more than a year to come.   When prompted in a Twitter thread early on Friday morning, the Tesla CEO said that he thought the current recession would last “probably until spring of ’24”.   Because he is such an optimist, Musk believes that economic conditions will turn around eventually.   But what if they don’t?   What if the “perfect storm” that we are currently enduring ultimately results in the collapse of everything?   Are you prepared for such a scenario?   Previous generations of Americans handed us the keys to the most prosperous economy that the world has ever seen.   But instead of managing it carefully, we have piled up the biggest mountain of debt in the history of the planet, we have transformed Wall Street into the globe’s largest casino, and we have systematically destroyed the reserve currency of the world.   Thanks to a very long series of incredibly foolish decisions by our leaders, we are now facing a war with Russia, a collapse of the housing market, a global food crisis, a global inflation crisis and a worldwide financial meltdown simultaneously.   The entire system is starting to crumble all around us, but most people still believe that things will “return to normal” at some point.   Personally, I would love to see things “return to normal”, but unfortunately it appears that is not likely to happen any time soon.

Some earth movements take place over a very long period of time. They are very hard to manage because most normally involve a vast area of land. I think we are in a prophetic creeping avalanche of profound, willful ignorance.   The protest group Animal Rebellion went into shops all over the UK last week and started smashing milk containers onto the floor. The UK activists’ reason for pouring out milk in supermarkets is to stop Oil and Gas production and to have a plant-based future. Milk was targeted because they claim Dairy and cattle farms are responsible for more greenhouse gas emissions than oil giants like Exxon, Shell, and BP.   “Birds Aren’t Real” is a satirical conspiracy theory that claims birds are actually drones operated by the United States government to spy on Americans. Birds Aren’t Real hosted its “biggest rally ever” in Washington Square Park on Saturday, Oct. 15. Hundreds of participants crowded the north side of the park, holding signs that expressed a range of anti-avian sentiments, including “Birds Aren’t Real,” “Open Your Eyes,” “Pigeons Are Liars” and “Wake Up America.” Every time a flock of birds circled the Washington Square Arch, participants would boo.   The founder of Birds Aren’t Real sees his movement’s acts as a protest of more detestable causes like pro-life and anti-LGBTQ groups. He told one reporter that his opponents are likely accustomed to the standard counterprotesters: debaters that try to fight with reason. But this time, you come at them with signs and chants that say, “Birds aren’t real!” How do they respond to that? They would likely respond by saying this is an exercise in idiocy and an opportunity for people to question their life goals.   The dumbest statement so far came from PayPal. The online financial transfer company attempted to slip past its user base with terms that would have allowed it to fine them as much as $2,500 for “the sending, posting, or publication of any messages, content, or materials” that “promote misinformation.”   The company quickly backed off from its plan, saying it was a mistake that should have never been posted. This isn’t an error. It’s social media’s standard plan of attack, where it’s two steps forward, one step back. It would be crazy just 10 years ago for a financial firm to post their willingness to steal from clients because they don’t like their political views.   The insanity in the criminal world has people willing to ignore life and property over the smallest offense. The New York police spent nearly two weeks tracking down a man for setting a local Asian restaurant on fire.   Choephel Norbu, 49, admitted to setting Ittadi Garden and Grill in Jackson Heights ablaze on the morning of Oct. 2 after the Bangladeshi restaurant’s staff allegedly botched his order the night before. He was released just one day after his arrest for setting the fire because those charges do not require bail under New York’s criminal justice reform.   “I was very drunk. I bought chicken biryani. They didn’t give me chicken biryani. I was mad, and I threw it out,” Norbu told police following his arrest, according to the New York Post. In New York, so many are let out of jail within 24 hours, you would have to be Donald Trump’s New York property manager to serve any hard time.   The buzzwords of New York City crime circa 2022: Random and unprovoked. A chilling spate of recent incidents involving innocent victims runs the gamut from a woman savagely beaten inside a Queens subway station to a 17-year-old Brooklyn girl killed by a stray bullet to a Mexican immigrant nearly killed by a sucker-punch outside a Manhattan restaurant. The NYPD does not keep count of random or unprovoked attacks committed by the mentally ill — or anyone else.   Our lack of a biblical moral foundation has caused this meltdown in our society. I don’t like that it can be described as slow and relentless. The relentless part I can stand because when things finally break, the whole system will go at once.   “It will be righteousness for us if we are careful to observe all this commandment before the Lord our God, just as He commanded us” (Deuteronomy 6:25).   “Where there is no vision, the people are unrestrained, But happy is he who keeps the law” (Proverbs 29:18).

It is the absence of war or other hostilities. Peace like this often seems elusive. Even when countries agree to peace terms, those terms often hang by a thread with the smallest misunderstanding resulting in a loss of peace and a return to hostilities.   Christianity affirms God alone is the source of true peace. The Bible teaches peace is possible but only through Jesus Christ. Through faith in Jesus and His finished work of redemption we can have spiritual peace with God (Romans 5:1). But the Bible also speaks of peace in the Age to Come.   This peace will be achieved through Jesus Christ at His Second Coming when righteousness and justice will prevail for one thousand years (Revelation 20:4). Final judgment and the eternal state will commence shortly thereafter (Revelation 21). Leading up to His return to this earth, Jesus reminds us there will be “wars and rumors of wars” (Matthew 24:4).   The Bible further predicts there will be hostilities and other unrest in that part of the world the biblical prophets were concerned about—Israel and the Middle East. Peace for this region, according to Bible prophecy, would seem elusive but a false peace would come at some future time when a man more cunning than anyone imaginable comes on the scene and seemingly brokers peace between Israel and her enemies.   Once again, the Bible bats one thousand when it comes to predicting the future. This time, the evidence points to two categories of events I like to call the anticipation for peace in the Middle East and addiction to Jerusalem. Consider this article that appeared in The Jerusalem Post on October 17, 2022—Israel slams Australia for revoking Jerusalem capital recognition—“The Australian government cited its belief that the status of Jerusalem should be resolved through peace negotiations.” No one seems to be concerned about the status of any other city on the planet except Jerusalem. Amazingly, this is exactly what the Bible predicts for the last days.   The quest for an elusive peace in the Middle East and the refusal to recognize Jerusalem as the eternal capital of the Jewish people not only indicates the biblical prophets got it right. It also indicates things are falling right into place on the road to Daniel’s Seventieth Week (Daniel 9:24-27). Again, from the article: “Australian Foreign Ministry Penny Wong said, “Jerusalem is a final status issue that should be resolved as part of any peace negotiations [and] recommits Australia to international efforts in the responsible pursuit of progress towards a just and enduring two-state solution.”   The quest for an elusive peace in the Middle East points to a future time when a man comes on the scene who will seemingly broker the greatest peace deal the world has ever known. This peace deal, however, will end in destruction—“Through peace he shall destroy many” (Daniel 8:25). Furthermore, the Bible predicts the utter destruction of those who concern themselves with trying to tamper with or otherwise change the biblical status of Jerusalem as it relates to the Jewish people and God's everlasting covenant with them—“Behold, I am going to make Jerusalem a cup that causes reeling to all the peoples around… It will come about in that day that I will make Jerusalem a heavy stone for all the peoples; all who lift it will be severely injured” (Zechariah 12:2-3). World leaders are drunk over the status of Jerusalem, and it will not end well for them—just as the Bible predicts.   Finally, are you ready to see Jesus face-to-face? He’s coming soon for His bride—the church. Come to Jesus, confess your sin, and receive His free gift of forgiveness and eternal life.

Daily Jot: It takes just one - Bill Wilson – www.dailyjot.com   Along about 1992, our 14 year-old son brought home a brochure from school. This brochure was stirring up a lot of commotion on the bus. Kids were passing it, and others like it, around, showing it to the younger kids on the bus, embarrassing the young girls and causing a lot of disruption for the bus driver. When Ty showed it to me, I was appalled. This brochure was very explicit about showing cartoon-ish drawings on how to put on a condom, examples of “pillow talk” with your partner, and facts about sexually transmitted diseases. The brochure was every bit a pornographic infomercial for teen sex. I asked him where he got it and he said from a “career day” field trip to the local hospital.   He said the field trip didn’t really have much to do with careers as it did with information about sex. I couldn’t remember signing a permission slip for him to leave the school premises for a field trip. I asked my wife about it and she said she didn’t sign any permission slip either. So I proceeded to write an open letter to the Superintendent of Schools describing in detail the contents of the brochure, the fact that as parents we were not informed that our child would be removed from the school to attend the “career day,” and the we did not, nor would we give permission for our son to attend such a field trip. The Superintendent of Schools was the former chairman of the Democratic Party in that county. I was the current Republican Party chairman. The local newspaper published the letter.   I then took off to Ghana, West Africa where we were in the beginning stages of our ministry efforts there. Phone communication was very sketchy and a few days later, I finally was able to connect with my wife Chris. She told me that I had stirred up a lot of trouble with that letter. Apparently, parents were so upset that several mothers picketed the school board meeting, causing both radio, television and newspaper coverage. The school board, concerned that my wife and I would sue them, made the Superintendent issue a public apology. And he and his democrat buddies, who tried to sneak in an abhorrent sex promotion under the guise of promoting careers for young people, were forced to cease and desist. That was 30 years ago in a mostly rural Virginia county. You see how these things start.   It’s certainly mild compared with today’s struggle of LGBTQ+ activists grooming kids for sexual perversion, putting sandboxes in school restrooms because some kids think they are cats, the whole pronoun issue, and the list goes on. And yes, if you stand up to it, you might get labeled a terrorist by the Biden Administration and have the FBI give you a visit. See how far this has gone? Also see that one person, me in the aforementioned example, caused a policy change. The Lord God honors this as evidenced in Ezekiel 22:30, “So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it.” As these issues and election day come upon us, let’s not allow the last part of that verse to ring true: “but I found no one.” It takes just one, maybe you.

He knew the cost of his action and willingly paid it.   Of all the disciples of Jesus, Matthew made the greatest sacrifice as far as material possessions were concerned. He left his career, his livelihood. In a moment’s notice, he left everything he had to follow Christ.   I think he would have agreed with this statement from the apostle Paul: “But what things were gain to me, these I have counted loss for Christ. Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ” (Philippians 3:7–8 NLT).   Matthew 9:9 tells us, “As Jesus passed on from there, He saw a man named Matthew sitting at the tax office. And He said to him, ‘Follow Me.’ So he arose and followed Him” (NKJV).   However, Matthew modestly left out a little detail that Luke’s gospel fills in: “So he left all, rose up, and followed Him” (5:28 NKJV, emphasis added).   Matthew left a lot to follow Jesus Christ. When we really encounter Jesus, we will leave our old lives fast enough. Our old habits, standards, and practices will no longer appeal to us. We will gladly leave these behind.   Sure, Matthew lost a few things, but what he gained was far better. He lost a career and gained a destiny. He lost his material possessions and gained a spiritual fortune. And he lost his temporary security but gained eternal life. Matthew lost his emptiness and loneliness, and he found fulfillment and companionship.   Matthew gave up everything that the world had to offer and found Jesus.
