For as the lightning comes from the east and flashes to the west, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. Matthew 24:26-27   Years ago, I was selected by my ROTC cadre to attend the Army’s hardest and (at 11 days) shortest badge course called Air Assault School. While this school is offered at several locations across the United States, I was particularly drawn to this one in the summer of 2000, because it was being held at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii.   The first day of our glorious initiation into the elite ranks of an Air Assault soldier was Day Zero (or Zero Day as we called it). It was here, after an exhaustive inspection process, that the instructors drove us to the mountainous jungle portion of Oahu, and then marched us out into a large field of knee-deep mud and proceeded to smoke us with exercises zealously until everyone reached muscle fatigue. It was only after this that we were allowed to complete the massive obstacle course that was either pass or fail (for which many failed and went home).   Admittedly, I was somewhat naive about going to Hawaii. I was expecting my barracks room to overlook the magnificent Pacific Ocean. Instead, we slept out in tents on a dusty field the whole time next to a Chinook helicopter unit (CH-47s) who were constantly coming and going, blowing dust on us and everything we had. When we weren't taking dust baths, we were getting rained on while on of our four mandatory road marches (4, 6, 8, and 12 miles every other day) up and down the steep hills and ravines of the Mililani Mauka-Launani Valley in the East Range portion of Oahu. I even remember one of the hills (called Ivan) because you could literally reach out and touch the road in front of you while standing. But it was also during this time that I first learned the somewhat crude phrase, “embrace the suck.”   Definition: “Embrace the suck” is military slang for one to willingly accept the suffering, hardships, and inevitable difficulties in order to make the best of the situation. It’s very much the mindset encouraged in order to make it through things like Ranger School, Special Forces Assessment, BUD/SEAL school, and other rigorous military schools designed to break you.   Truth be told, I did numerous stints of "hard time" over the next two decades of service, as many of my brothers-at-arms would also attest to, but I never forgot those illustrative eleven days in Hawaii. That school set a foundation of sorts for where my thresholds would be in future periods of physical and mental discomfort. IOW, Air Assault school became sort of the benchmark for me of what I could take and not take.   Having led with that, this will probably be my least popular article ever, but I think it’s vital to our understanding as watching community, in maintaining healthy expectations as we move forward in these final moments of human history.   We need to be prepared to be here longer than we expect, should the Lord tarry. This means we need to mentally and spiritually, gird up our loins, and prepare ourselves for the potentially tough times ahead.   I'm not saying there will be tough times, I'm just saying, we need to prepare ourselves in case there are. I mean, things are already tough for many of you, so I'm probably preaching to the choir at this point. However, we all want to get out of here (so do I). But what if all of our prognostications are off by a few years? What if there is something in this grand prophetic picture we aren't seeing, or can't see? Don't misunderstand me...we are in the season. We just can't say with specificity how long that season is.   I know we all want to go up. I know we all feel like there isn’t a problem so big in our lives that the Rapture couldn’t fix it. I know we are all vexed living in a world that is increasingly being given over to the spirit of Antichrist. Trust me, I know. I would like to have been raptured yesterday, but the fact of the matter is, today came, and we have to deal with what’s on the plate in front of us now and potentially tomorrow.   The reason I am writing this is that I would be remiss if I didn't. What if I just kept telling you week after week..."soon, maybe next week" "maybe next month" or "maybe this coming Pentecost" etc., etc. Take my writing ministry as an example. If I were an unscrupulous prophecy teacher over the years (and you know many of whom I speak) my audience would have been subjected to that continuous 11-year emotional and spiritual roller coaster ride of build-ups and let-downs. A roller coaster ride where the rises (hypes) and falls (let downs) are so steep, you want to lose your lunch. The breakneck twists and turns are so sudden, that they give you whiplash. In fact, that ride is so unpleasant, that it would rival that old wooden rollercoaster (Texas Giant) at Six Flags over Texas (trust me, you take a beating on this one).   I mean, if I only continually worked my audience up into a frenzy year after year watching for this feast or that feast, this astronomical alignment, or that one, or some geopolitical or technological development to occur, and we are still here 11 years later, I would have had one emotionally-abused audience.   That's why I've always tried to maintain an even keel approach to the nearness of our Lord's return. That's why in 2009 when reading Don Koenig's article likening the mid to late 2020s and early 2030s as the likely season of the Second Coming, I grumbled and became discouraged. But even in that discouragement, the Spirit confirmed in my spirit, that he was on to something. Trust me, I wanted it to be in 2009. Nevertheless, here we are in 2022. Think of how many people came to know the Lord as Savior during that time. Think of how you have grown in that time.   However...   Make no mistake about it, we are in the season of His return. Satan and his Luciferian forces are hype focused on the year 2030 for some reason. That should tell us something.   I've written things in the past things such as Running out of Normal which speaks to the increasingly abnormal times we live in, and how the "new normal" threatens to push us past the normalcy threshold of Luke 17:26-30. I've written about how if we push past all the Prophetic Redlines, we will soon find ourselves outpacing the technological capabilities listed in Revelation. I've written about how Bible things follow Type and Shadow, and patterns, and if we push too far past our present time, we will be floating out in the ether without anything to reference back to. I've even written about how if the Rapture happened on Tish B'Av, it would certainly get the observant Jews' attention.   The point is we don't know definitively when the Rapture will be. Now, we can certainly see things lining up for the 70th Week of Daniel. We can see the technological advancements arriving in our day that will be used by the coming Beast kingdom. We can see the world racing ahead to create the political necessity for the Beast kingdom. We can see the formation of that final global religion. We can see Gog and Magog lining up geopolitically. We can see the decline of the Church in most of the world. We can see all of the signs that the prophets, apostles, and Jesus pointed to as indicators of the last days. So we know we are close...but just how close, well, again, we can't know.   I’m not saying that the Rapture is years off and that we have another decade (or more) left before the Lord returns. The world (under the control of Satan) seems hell-bent (literally) to get something done before 2030. In fact, 193 nations signed the UN Agenda 2030 back on September 25, 2015. Had the Covid lockdowns not happened in 2020-21, I would be far more skeptical than I am now that it could happen by then. But 2020 just showed you (and them) how quickly they can grab power when they need to. And like moths to a flame and sharks to blood, these global elitists can't help themselves when it comes to grabbing power.   Conclusion   “But take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness, and care of this life, and that Day come on you unexpectedly. For it will come as a snare on all those who dwell on the face of the whole earth. Watch, therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man.” Luke 21:34-36   Back to the title. When I say “embrace the suck”, I am not saying you should embrace the world. We are to be in the world, but not of it. I'm not even saying to embrace your situation as if it were fated and can't be improved upon. We can all see the world has become increasingly perilous and wicked, and living in these final moments is proving to be far more Rated-R than Rated-PG.   Now, this doesn't apply to everyone. If I've got my finger pointing at anyone, just remember, I've got three fingers pointing back at myself. Here is what I am saying; instead of complaining about the way things are, you embrace the fact that God chose you to live in this time and place. Embrace the gifts and callings He has purposed you with and use them for His glory. Embrace the role he has called you to be in your circle(s) of influence. Embrace the fact that He has chosen you to live at the end of human history for His own divine purposes (Eph 1:3-6). I mean, out of all the generations you could have been born in, He chose you and me to live in the final one. Think about how awesome and special that is in light of all that is happening now. We are in the end game. Most of the churches and all of the world are dead asleep to what is coming. If there ever was a time to be a watchman, it is now.   There are some notable benefits to embracing this mindset:   It helps you accept your circumstances for what they are, especially if they are less than ideal. It keeps you grounded and not chasing after what the world says you have to do. It helps you lead a more disciplined life because you know it will not last long. It helps you to become more resilient and adaptable in knowing that others have either gone before us in these same trials and tribulations, and we can learn from them how to push through it It helps develop an attitude of continuing forward and never giving up.   Yes, this fallen, broken world sucks. It sucks to see innocent people get killed while the wicked walk away scot-free. It sucks that unborn babies are sacrificed on the altar of convenience by the millions. It sucks that Sodom and Gomorrah are becoming the new normal. It sucks to see the wicked prosper and thrive, while the hardworking, honest folk are getting trampled under. But this seeming advantage the wicked have is momentary and fleeting. The storm is coming and they will not escape it.   In closing, keep your feet firmly planted on the ground, but continue to set your affections on the heavenly things. Let that affection graduate into an obsession, not to daydream, but to motivate you toward good works and the sharing of the eternal gospel of Jesus Christ. When you move, move out in power and glory and be the salt and light God has called you to be in these final moments of human history. You and I are not going to get a second chance at this, be bold. Yes, things are tough now, but this life is quickly, quickly, quickly drawing to a close. Don't sweat what people think or say about you. You and I have the truth in God's word. A truth that is more certain, than the rising of the sun tomorrow. And keep watching, because Jesus said when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads because your redemption draws nigh. (Luke 21:28)     Maranatha!

Hezbollah’s September Deadline Could Lead To War With Israel – Eval Zisser - https://www.prophecynewswatch.com/article.cfm?recent_news_id=5553   Although most Israelis fear Sept. 1 may bring with it a teachers' strike, there is another reason we should be concerned: A possible war on Israel's northern border in the wake of the most severe threats since 2006.   The very fact that Hezbollah Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah has emerged from the bunker where he has been hiding most of the past 16 years suggests that the effect of the crushing blow he was dealt in the 2006 Second Lebanon War has somewhat faded. Nasrallah's swagger means he is convinced that the next flare-up with Israel will be very different from the one that saw him run into hiding in 2006.   Nasrallah is not the adventurous or gambling type. His many years at the helm have taught him how to spout lofty rhetoric while adopting a cautious posture. He is not going to suddenly launch a surprise missile barrage on Tel Aviv. On the other hand, he is apparently willing to play with fire, convinced he can control the blaze.   The threats he has been sounding are very clear: If Israel goes ahead with its plan to extract gas from the Karish field in the Mediterranean Sea without resolving its border dispute with Lebanon, the Shi'ite terrorist group will act to stop it, even if this means a full-scale conflagration.   To show just how serious he is, Nasrallah has sent drones towards the Karish floating production storage and offloading vessel (FPSO), and may very well do so again, or perhaps even escalate things by firing rockets in its general direction.   This poses a direct threat to Israel's sovereignty and strategic assets. It could entail much greater consequences than just breaching the land border or targeting soldiers on it, which usually leads to rather limited hostilities that Israel chooses to contain.   Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz recently warned that Israel would retaliate for any provocation, and is ready for any campaign in Lebanon should the need arise.   Senior Israeli officials have assessed that things could evolve into "multi-day" fighting, which is another way of saying a major confrontation along the border. But if this is the conventional wisdom, it suggests Israeli policymakers have yet to learn the lessons of 2006. "Days of fighting" ultimately morph into war, something for which Israel is ill-prepared.   Those who envision a multi-day offensive that would have Nasrallah fire missile barrages at Israeli cities and strategic assets while Israel responds by just destroying a few weapon depots or assassinating a few officials are kidding themselves.   In 2006, Israel showed mercy toward Lebanon, but this policy did not stand the test of time, because Lebanon and Hezbollah are one and the same. Israel failed to realize that by targeting the Lebanese state it would have been able to hurt the Shi'ite terrorist group.   Nevertheless, the Israeli aerial onslaught on Hezbollah's Dahiya stronghold in Beirut--despite its disorderly approach--did have an impact.   If Nasrallah wants war, Israel should prepare to go all in. But if Israel's threats as to the catastrophic impact on Lebanon do not materialize once the war breaks out, Nasrallah will interpret it as yet another "divine victory," laying the groundwork for yet another flare-up down the road.

Baal Worship Resurrected? During the opening ceremony of the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, England on July 28th, a giant mechanical bull with glowing red eyes, was rolled out into the center of Alexander Stadium. A total of 72 nations participate in the Commonwealth Games, and so this opening ceremony was being viewed on countless television screens all over the planet.   The “hero” of the opening ceremony, a character known as Stella, calmed the creature down and then all of the human performers gathered around the giant bull and literally began to bow down and worship it.   WATCH VIDEO: https://youtu.be/saGEY6WIy6g   Fooling the Masses!   The symbolism in this “ritual” was well planned in advance, and the organizers knew exactly what they were doing. But, they were also counting on the fact that the vast majority of the general population would not consciously catch on to what was actually taking place.   The bull has always been a symbol of an ancient deity from the Middle East known as “Baal”. In artistic depictions and archeological finds, Baal took the shape of a bull or ram and had associations with fertility.   In this presentation, the arena was staged with what looked like a ring of lava around the arena, and smoke and fire bellowed from the bull. It is clear that Satanists are no longer hiding in the shadows, but openly giving homage to Satan in rituals on national TV for an international audience.   Black Sabbath Performs: Could it Be Any Clearer?    It was being reported that music from Black Sabbath was being played as the colossal beast was being brought out. It would have been bad enough if they would have stopped there, but all of the human performers gathered around the bull and literally start bowing down to it.   A Woman Rides the Beast   After the bull is calmed down, at one point three women are lifted up to ride on top of the bull. Was this symbolic of the words in Revelation 17?   Revelation 17:3-6 KJV – “So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns. And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication: And upon her forehead was a name written, Mystery, Babylon The Great, The Mother Of Harlots And Abominations Of The Earth. And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.”   A Spectacle Loved by the Global Elite!   The elite love to use opening ceremonies, awards shows and other public spectacles to mentally and emotionally condition us. And when they pull stunts like this, they know that only a very small fraction of the general population will ever object. And very few will understand the deeper meaning at play here either!   There is also a Tower of Babel on the premises. Nimrod is a type of the Antichrist, so it is clear that this entire ritual was demonic. And Prince Charles was an honorary attendee of the event. Ultimately, it was a massive celebration of globalism.   In my opinion, this is one of the most prominent signs of the times here in 2022. Surely, evil is waxing worse and worse (2 Timothy 3:13) and the participants in this ritual are calling evil good (Isaiah 5:20). The time of celebration around this bull had to be similar to the children of Israel worshipping a golden calf.   You have to see this one to believe it, and even then, it will take some time to process all the ramifications of what appears to be deifying Baal in the summer of 2022!

Is Someone Trying To Tell Us Something? We Are Being Hit By Unprecedented Drought And Unprecedented Flooding At The Same Time - by Michael Snyder - http://endoftheamericandream.com/is-someone-trying-to-tell-us-something-we-are-being-hit-by-unprecedented-drought-and-unprecedented-flooding-at-the-same-time/   We have never seen anything like this before. There are some parts of the globe that are being absolutely devastated by endless drought, and there are other parts of the globe that are being absolutely devastated by relentless flooding. So if you happen to live some place where weather patterns are still behaving normally, you should consider yourself to be incredibly blessed. In all my years, I have never seen extreme conditions in so many areas of the world simultaneously. This is a major red flag, but unfortunately the vast majority of the general population is still not paying attention.   Over the past few months, I have written article after article about the droughts that we are currently witnessing all over the planet.   Right now, Europe is experiencing the worst drought that it has gone through in at least 500 years, and the rivers are getting so low that “hunger stones” are now being revealed for the first time in centuries…   On this front, too, Europe’s rivers are turning up bleak omens — the receding waters in parts of central Europe have revealed old “hunger stones,” markers placed along riverbeds that locals centuries prior left as guides to earlier droughts. One stone that emerged out of the Elbe read: “When this goes under, life will become more colorful again.”   Here in the United States, the western half of the nation is suffering through the worst multi-year megadrought that the region has experienced in 1,200 years, and this is causing all sorts of very serious problems…   Nearly three-quarters of California is in either extreme or exceptional drought, considered worse than severe, according to the U.S. Drought Monitor. It’s so bad that scientists say the ongoing drought in the western United States marks the region’s driest 22-year stretch in more than 1,200 years.   The conditions have affected a broad swath of regions and industries. California wells are going dry. Farmers are either paying a premium for water or letting their fields sit empty. And there is growing concern that water exports from the Colorado River could come to a halt.   Not to be outdone, China is currently being hit by the worst drought that it has seen in all of recorded history…   China is in the grips of its worst drought on record, which has dried up parts of the Yangtze River and impacted swaths of the country’s industrial sector.   If you have read my previous articles, then you already know about those droughts.   But did you know that at the same time we are also witnessing some of the worst flooding in modern history?   In Pakistan, it has been raining and raining and raining…   “Much of central and northern Pakistan has had 200-600% of normal rainfall with over 1,000% of normal rainfall in southern Pakistan,” Nicholls said, adding that wet weather is common in a La Niña pattern. “Karachi, Pakistan, had 1,397% of normal rainfall in July, or 9.78 inches (248 mm) of rain versus a normal rainfall of 0.70 of an inch (18 mm). For the season, rainfall has been 1,001% of normal in Karachi.”   All of that rainfall has caused a flooding disaster in the country that is absolutely unprecedented.   In fact, it is being reported that “entire villages” have been completely wiped off the map…   Pakistan’s foreign minister said the calamitous floods gripping the country are ‘a catastrophe on a scale that I have never seen’ as the death toll soared above 1,000 and an area the size of Britain faced going underwater.   Tens of millions of Pakistanis have been forced to flee their homes as entire villages have vanished, with dramatic footage capturing hotel collapses, helicopter rescues and narrow escapes.   I am sitting here trying to picture such a disaster, and I am really having a hard time trying to imagine such a thing.   Pakistan is an enormous nation, and we are being told that one-third of the entire country is currently covered by water…   One-third of Pakistan has been completely submerged by historic flooding, its climate minister says.   Devastating flash floods have washed away roads, homes and crops – leaving a trail of deadly havoc across Pakistan.   “It’s all one big ocean, there’s no dry land to pump the water out,” Sherry Rehman said, calling it a “crisis of unimaginable proportions”.   What a horrible, horrible tragedy.   Needless to say, this is having an enormous impact on agricultural production…   A situation report from the United Nations stated that nearly 800,000 livestock, a vital food and livelihood source for Pakistanis, have perished amid the monsoon floods. Around 2 million acres of crops and orchards have also been impacted.   I expect those numbers will go even higher as the full extent of the damage becomes clear.   This is yet another very serious blow to the global food supply, and it means that our rapidly growing food crisis is going to get even worse.   There are areas in Africa that are dealing with unprecedented flooding right now as well.   For example, check out what has been going on in Sudan…   Sudan is in the midst of yet another round of severe floods, even as much of the Horn of Africa struggles with catastrophic drought.   The Save the Children organization says 83 people have died and another 146,000 have been affected by the flooding. Whole villages have been submerged, with nearly 44,000 homes partially or completely destroyed. People living in the Gezira and River Nile states have required assistance from the British-based NGO.   Authorities in Sudan have declared a state of emergency in a third of the country’s provinces. Central Darfur, South Darfur, and West Darfur also have seen some of the worst impacts.   This is what I mean when I say that global weather patterns have gone completely haywire in 2022.   Much of the planet is either getting way too much rain or way too little rain.   Let me give you another example.   Here in the United States, even as the western half of the country suffers from endless drought we are witnessing crazy flooding along the Mississippi River…   Major flooding across America’s heartland will be around for weeks to come as the Mississippi River surges south.   The deadly onslaught of rising waters and storms has killed more than two dozen people in Missouri and Illinois.   In all, some 7 million people in 15 states were under threat of flooding, according to CNN meteorologists.   So why is this happening?   Is someone trying to tell us something?   All of this drought and all of this flooding are going to be really, really bad for global food production.   The stage is being set for the sort of historic global famines that we have been warned about, and even now food prices are starting to surge dramatically all over the planet.   But most people still don’t seem too alarmed.   In fact, most people still seem entirely convinced that everything will work out just fine somehow.   Hopefully they are correct, because at this point the vast majority of the general population is completely and utterly unprepared for any sort of a major disruption to their current lifestyles.

Daily Jot: The tale of two citizens - Bill Wilson – www.dailyjot.com   What does former president Donald Trump have in common with a black pastor from Alabama? And what does that have to do with you? In May, Pastor Michael Jennings had just finished up services at his church in Childersburg and went to his neighbor’s house to water their plants while they were away. Another neighbor called the police and said there was an unknown man on the property. The police showed up while Pastor Jennings was still watering the plants. The officer’s body cam shows Jennings explaining, “I’m Pastor Jennings. I live across the street. I’m looking out for their house while they’re gone.” The police demanded identification. Jennings refused, saying he didn’t do anything wrong. And then things went south.   Two minutes later, Jennings was handcuffed and the officers were aggressively demanding he identify himself. Then another neighbor told the officers that Jennings likely did have permission to water the flowers. But the officers continued to maintain that Jennings was a suspicious person and he should have presented his identification when asked, even though he was not committing a crime. Even members of Pastor Jennings family confirmed his identification, but he was taken to jail in cuffs and charged with “obstruction of a government operation.” Now, because of the body cam footage, that charge was dropped a month later and the officers are under investigation for their conduct.   Now where does Trump come in? Well, it’s a similar situation. The FBI, in his case, comes to his home because one of their agents thinks Trump is withholding government documents that “could” impact national security. Even though Trump and his lawyers have been working with the Department of Justice on these so-called National Archive documents for months, the FBI raids his home and makes a big deal that Trump has stolen his own documents—that’s essentially what this is. Today, there is a bunch of back and forth in the courts about whether Trump is guilty of something. Reviewing the search warrant and the redacted affidavit that generated the warrant, there was nothing but speculation by the FBI.   Pastor Jennings and former president Trump are victims of a militant system established by the Democratic Party. In Jennings’ case, it’s the residue of Democratic Party Jim Crow laws that began oppressing freed slaves after the Civil War. In Trump’s case, it’s the jackboot FBI targeting a citizen to give the impression of wrong doing, exactly the reason Congress opposed the formation of the FBI in 1908—it would become a secret police used against the citizenry. This is exactly what the Democratic Party has done with the FBI, especially against Trump. And we can see from these two examples that an all-powerful government can make up any charge against you it wishes and disrupt your life if you don’t go along with it. We all may face it and what will we do? As Peter and the Apostles said in Acts 5:29, “We ought to obey God rather than man.”

When He says something, it is for your benefit. If He says, “Go this way,” it’s because He has green pastures and still waters for you. If He says, “Stop! Don’t do that,” it’s because He is trying to protect you from potential danger, possibly something that is even life-threatening.   The fact that God speaks to us is clear throughout the pages of Scripture. To some, like Moses, God spoke audibly. To others, like the prophet Elijah, He spoke quietly on at least one occasion.   Often we look for the big events, the earth-shaking circumstances in which God speaks. And many times He is speaking to us, but it is in a still, small voice. We should try turning off the television, the radio, and the telephone and just listen. With all the noise in our world, with all the information that bombards us, we can hear all those voices but miss the most important voice of all.   Maybe one reason we don’t hear Him is because we never stop and listen. We should heed the words of Psalm 46:10, which says, “Be still, and know that I am God.”   Once we have heard the voice of God, we need to follow. Jesus said, “The sheep follow him, for they know his voice” (John 10:4). The word follow means to deliberately decide to comply with instruction. It is a deliberate choice for sheep to follow the shepherd. We need to deliberately decide to follow our Shepherd, to do what He tells us to do.   When God Almighty speaks to you in that still, small voice, will you listen? Will you follow Him.
