Many, including myself, were watching in shock and disbelief as this mercenary army called the Wagner Group was marching toward Moscow, coming within 120 miles of the capital. All kinds of military experts, as well as experts on Russia and geopolitics, were trying to dissect what was happening. Then as suddenly as it all began, it all inexplicably dissipated. We were all left wondering… what in the world was going on here? The Wagner Group This Wagner group is led by a man named Yevgeny Prigozhin, who has been leading this mercenary army for several years. The name of this group, Wagner, comes from a composer that Hitler loved in the 19th century, a terrible anti-Semite whose name was Richard Wagner. Dmitry Utkin, the co-leader of this Wagner group with Prigozhin, is a Nazi sympathizer who wears clothing with swastikas and often signs documents with the Nazi symbol “SS.” The Wagner Group is a private military company (PMC) with approximately 50,000 members that were in Ukraine. About 40,000 of the 50,000 members are convicts. Basically, the Wagner group cleaned out the prisons, and they became part of this PMC. Therefore, it’s a very loosely organized, poorly disciplined, and brutal group. The Wagner group has been fighting in North Africa. They’ve been in Syria. The United States Department of Treasury has declared them to be a transnational criminal organization. Furthermore, this bloodthirsty group has been doing a lot of the dirty work and fighting in Ukraine. What Happened? What happened was a feud between the leader of this Russian mercenary army Yevgeny Prigozhin and Russian military leaders. Finally, it festered into a mutiny. It’s been called a revolt, an armed insurrection, a rebellion, a coup, and the beginnings of a civil war. Prigozhin called this the March of Justice. As this was unfolding, all kinds of theories about what was happening were swirling around. Many of you reading likely have heard these as you watch cable news channels or wherever you get your news. Some people were saying that this was a planned rebellion, that Prigozhin and Putin were in cahoots together and staging all of this to lure Ukraine into taking foolish action they could then retaliate against. Some people still believe that it was planned or orchestrated. Other people were saying that this was Putin’s last stand. Putin was finished, and this army was going to march all the way to Moscow. Putin would be overtaken in a coup, and Prigozhin would then become the leader of Russia. Then as quickly as this mutiny flared up came, it fizzled out. It was a bizarre, inexplicable turn of events. I’d watched the news earlier in the day about what was happening, got busy doing some other things, and came back expecting to see this march continuing to Moscow. But suddenly, it was over. We learned that there had been a deal brokered by the Belarusian President, Aleksandr Lukashenko, between Putin and Prigozhin. The Deal was for Prigozhin to be exiled to Belarus and have protection. Prigozhin backed down, and the coup was averted. The world has been left reeling in the wake of all of this, scratching their heads, wondering… what just happened and what is going to take place in the future? Certainly, there will be major repercussions from this, but it is also very significant from a prophetic perspective, specifically relating to the Gog Magog coalition of Ezekiel 38-39. I want to answer two basic questions, what we don’t know and what we do know. What We Don’t Know: Why did Prigozhin halt the march to Moscow? The Wagner group was 120 miles away. It looked as though he could have gone on in and maybe taken Moscow. There are different theories about this. Some will say he lost his nerve, realizing what he was up against. Maybe it was a larger force than he anticipated. Some, again, say this was all pre-planned, so he stops this because it was all arranged with Putin ahead of time to try to gain some advantages. Prigozhin, himself, said he did it because he didn’t want to kill Russians. There’s another theory that makes a lot of sense to me, and that is that they may have kidnapped or threatened his family. Russia and Putin routinely do this. Will Putin face more challenges? Has Putin been so diminished and permanently weakened that he will face more challenges? Is this the beginning of the end for him? Are there some structural weaknesses in his government that others will rise up and take advantage of? Do people in Russia now all of a sudden have this idea that they can back somebody else to put Putin out of power? Will Prigozhin stay in Belarus or make another move? While watching someone the other day, they explained that if they were Prigozhin, they would stay away from open windows! Certainly, I think there will be attempts to assassinate him. But will he try to make another move? Prigozhin doesn’t seem like a man who would stand down in his ambitions. Will Putin become even more dangerous? Right now, Putin is wounded, vulnerable, and seems to feel cornered. It was said that while this march was taking place, there was panic in the Kremlin. Will Putin lash out in this and seek more extreme ways to turn the war in Ukraine around in his favor? Will there be an increased threat of nuclear war? Is it possible that Putin could blow up the occupied nuclear plant in Ukraine, which many people believe is part of his agenda? We already know he has transferred nuclear weapons to Belarus, where Prigozhin was exiled. This is the first time Russia has sent its nuclear weapons to another country. This transfer, which Belarusian President Lukashenko has been bragging about, is going to be completed by the end of the summer. Will this push NATO to invite Ukraine into membership? Ukraine is stepping up calls for NATO to officially recognize their country and admit them to membership in NATO. That would cause all kinds of problems, escalation and would trigger events that could further set the stage for the end times. What We Do Know: This was evil versus evil. Both Prigozhin and Putin are bloodthirsty, brutal, strong men. There were no good guys in this. We know Biblically that an evil ruler, “Gog,” will lead a coalition attempting to invade Israel. Gog will rise from Russia, and any of these brutal men could fit that bill. This is an evil versus evil situation. There would have been no winners in this. In fact, Prigozhin may even be worse than Putin, and he could have gotten his hands on the world’s largest stockpile of nuclear weapons. This further solidified and galvanized the Russian alliance with Turkey and Iran. The big three in the Ezekiel 38 Gog coalition are Russia, Turkey, and Iran. Turkey and Iran immediately rushed to Putin’s defense, pledging their full support for Vladimir Putin. This event strengthened and cemented their ties even further. The US is strengthening support for Ukraine in the wake of this. On Thursday, a new $500 million assistance package from the United States to Ukraine was announced. America and Western countries are seizing the opportunity, seeing an opening to deal a death blow to Vladimir Putin’s efforts. Russia will continue its aggression. Russia is going to continue to dominate global and world headlines. Four of the five places mentioned in the Ezekiel 38 Gog coalition are players in all of this. The Wagner group was very active in Libya, one of the nations in Ezekiel 38 referred to as “Put.” Additionally, you have Russia, which is “Gog and Magog,” Turkey, and Iran. There may be a lot of twists and turns in the future, but the basic matrix of events that the Bible predicts in the future, that coalition of nations, is meshing together. All these things we see happening are further connecting the prophetic and end-time dots. |

The Biggest Danger to Mankind Check out this fascinating, recent headline in Real Clear Politics: “Rand Paul Rips Bill Gates’ Alleged Tie to Gain-Of-Function Research: ‘Funding the Biggest Danger To Mankind.’” The first thing that stands out is the use of the words “gain of function.” This drives me crazy. Rather than saying they’re trying to make a virus “more deadly,” they keep using this “gain of function” phrase over and over as if this makes it more acceptable. It’s sort of like changing the word “adultery” into “affair.” “Affair” is far more palatable than “adultery.” It sounds less sinful when gossiping. But call it what you want, it’s still one of the top ten sins, according to God. We also change the word “pervert” to the much softer-sounding “gay,” even though there’s no connection. If you watch any TV video clips of those demonic parades going on in June, they don’t seem to be a very happy bunch. I'm guessing they don't know that there’s an eternal price to pay for eternity for certain actions clearly defined in the Bible. Outside [of heaven] are the dogs and the sorcerers [Greek = Pharmakos—“a drug, i.e. spell-giving potion” —think drug distributors or more specifically va((ine distributors] and the immoral persons [the worst of which is homosexuality] and the murderers and the idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices lying [Can you think of any lying going on recently?]. Rev. 22:15 Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God. 1Cor. 6:9-10 That’s pretty uncomfortable and in-your-face when read by us sinners. A lot of us have done some of those things. But, thankfully, the next verse shows Believers are in a different category. Such were some of you; but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God. 1Cor. 6:11 Using the word “were” …. were washed, were sanctified, were justified … puts your sins in past tense because they're paid on the cross once and for all. Jesus paid it all 2000 years ago when all your sins were in the future. But getting back to the Bill Gates headline above, the next interesting phrase alludes to the “biggest danger to all of mankind.” Not the only danger to wiping out the human race, just the biggest danger. A fairly large and respected news organization is openly running headlines about the human race being wiped out. Since there are many prophetic signs that tell us that we are close to the beginning of the 7-year Tribulation/70th Week of Daniel (which specifically includes mass murder of most of the human race) it amazes me that the secular world is talking about Bible prophecy…certainly without realizing it. When most of the world spends the entire month of June pushing a Biblically defined sin—basically giving God the finger—these perverts (God's designation, not mine) don’t realize that they're fulfilling Bible prophecy too. We should have seen this coming. God said it was going to be “just like" in the days of Noah, which was a time when homosexuality was off the charts. Homosexuality and the days of Noah being tied to today was covered previously (https://compass.org/the-big-pride-push/). But another very interesting characteristic of the days of Noah was humans getting their genome changed. The Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God [demonic angels] came in to the daughters of men, and they bore children to them. Gen. 6:4 I can't quite get my arms around this. Can you imagine your daughter bringing home a demon to meet her parents? Good grief. It's so bizarre that Bible scholars have tried for years to make this say something different. But that's what it says. The Bible does say that angels can take the form of humans. And demons are just fallen angels. Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for by this some have entertained angels without knowing it. Heb. 13:2 But really all we know is that these offspring were born with changed DNA and were called Nephilim. Realize God didn't want Israelis to intermarry with another human culture, much less different beings. God was quite angered and wiped out the human race with Noah’s flood, except for eight souls who had not compromised their DNA, and start over. Well, now that’s interesting. The world today is also changing the genetic makeup of the human race via COVID va((ines. The mRNA in the va((ines, through a process called reverse transcription, changes your God-designed immune system. In essence, these va((ines are rewriting the recipient’s God-designed genetic code. So this too is confirming biblical prophecy. Of course, many Christians were duped into taking the vaccine to keep their job, to fly or cruise, or to see their grandkids or whatever, because they felt they had no choice. I personally know several Believers who have died from the effects of taking the mRNA va((ine. And people are continuing to die today. Only the alternative media are covering all these “unexplained” deaths. We don’t know where all this is headed prior to the Rapture but people KNOW that healthy people are dropping dead all over the place. Thankfully, in the Church Age we’re living in, there’s nothing we can do or not do after becoming a Believer that will change our salvation status. Once we become a Believer, that’s the end of it… you’ll always be a Believer, whether you want to be or not. Va((inated or not. If you're born again, you can’t be unborn. You can't walk away from God. In fact, if everything you do after you get saved burns up on Judgment Day, the Bible pointedly states you are still saved. I Corinthians 3 contains one of the many places that God confirms you cannot lose your salvation once you Believe by faith in the good news of Jesus dying for our sins on the cross. For no man can lay a foundation other than the one which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. Now if any man builds on the foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw, each man’s work will become evident; for the day will show it because it is to be revealed with fire, and the fire itself will test the quality of each man’s work. If any man’s work which he has built on it remains, he will receive a reward. If any man’s work is burned up, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire. 1Cor. 3:11-15 There is nothing we can do, or not do, that can separate us from what Jesus did for us on the cross. Quite frankly, if I had to do certain things in order to keep my salvation, I would’ve already blown it. For I know that nothing good dwells in me, that is, in my flesh; for the willing is present in me, but the doing of the good is not. Rom. 7:18 God gave us choice, but He knew we humans are dumb as sheep and easily duped by Satan. So He didn’t leave it up to our works to keep our salvation. “I WILL NEVER DESERT YOU, NOR WILL I EVER FORSAKE YOU,” Heb. 13:5b So as we watch the mainstream media blare so much Bible prophecy fulfillment in these last days, comfort yourself that Believers will escape the horrors of the Tribulation and instead we'll be enjoying a royal dinner in heaven, with wine. So less sunlight would mean less food for all of us. And considering the fact that we are already in the early stages of a horrifying global food crisis, growing enough food should be a very high priority. Unfortunately, the globalists see things very differently. They are apparently willing to implement extremely risky measures in a desperate attempt to get temperatures back into a range that they consider to be “normal”. The following comes from a Bloomberg article entitled “EU Looks Into Blocking Out the Sun as Climate Efforts Falter”… The European Union will join an international effort to assess whether large-scale interventions such as deflecting the sun’s rays or changing the Earth’s weather patterns are viable options for fighting climate change. The bloc will announce a framework Wednesday for assessing the security implications of a rapidly warming planet, such as the potential for scarce water or food to trigger conflict and migration, according to a draft document seen by Bloomberg. Part of that assessment includes studying the potential dangers of re-engineering the atmosphere. This is madness. Blocking out the sun isn’t going to solve anything. In fact, it would have the potential to create far bigger problems than we are facing now. But the globalists are desperate. Even though they have been imposing unthinkable mandates on their populations, carbon emissions just aren’t going down fast enough to meet their goals. For example, the Dutch government is actually forcing thousands of farmers to turn over their farms… The Dutch government is planning to purchase and then close down up to 3,000 farms in an effort to comply with a European Union environmental mandate to slash emissions, according to reports. Farmers in the Netherlands will be offered “well over” the worth of their farm in an effort to take up the offer voluntarily, The Telegraph reported. The country is attempting to reduce its nitrogen pollution and will make the purchases if not enough farmers accept buyouts. “There is no better offer coming,” Christianne van der Wal, nitrogen minister, told the Dutch parliament on Friday. Shutting down thousands of farms in the midst of the worst global food crisis in modern history is literally an insane thing to do. But they are doing it anyway. And the government of Canada is considering similar measures. Canada is supposed to reduce carbon emissions from fertilizer by 30 percent by 2030, and so the government is looking at ways to impose draconian production reductions on farmers… Production losses could be significant, according to an analysis commissioned by Fertilizer Canada. Canada could lose over 160 million metric tons of canola, corn and spring wheat between 2023 and 2030 due to the plan, according to the report. That’s nearly double Canada’s expected grain production this season. Agriculture emissions have soared in recent decades as farmers apply more fertilizer to increase output. Emissions from crop soils rose 87 per cent to about 7.6 metric tons of carbon dioxide over three decades through 2020, according to the latest data from Environment and Climate Change Canada . I can’t even begin to describe how stupid this is. We need more food, not less. Here in the United States, the USDA has made fighting climate change their number one priority. The following comes from Doug Casey… The US Department of Agriculture has about 100,000 employees. It’s one of the many US government departments that should be abolished. If any of those 100,000 employees actually know anything about agriculture or farming—most of them don’t—they should go out and do it, as opposed to making the lives of farmers miserable. Interestingly, the #1 mission of the USDA, stated on its website, is to combat climate change. Not to improve food production. The USDA, the EPA, and many others create regulations on everything and anything that farmers do today. I’d point out that according to USDA rules, a “farm” is any piece of land that produces over or can produce over $1000 worth of product. That’s an unbelievably low amount. A garden in your backyard can be deemed a farm if it suits the authorities. I feel so sorry for our farmers. They shouldn’t have to put up with this. Sadly, the zealotry of the climate change cult seems to get more extreme with each passing year. In New York City, officials are actually planning to crack down on restaurants that use pizza ovens that are powered by coal and wood… Historic Big Apple pizza joints could be forced to dish out mounds of dough under a proposed city edict targeting pollutant-spewing coal-and-wood-fired ovens, The Post has learned. The New York City Department of Environmental Protection has drafted new rules that would order eateries using the decades-old baking method to slice carbon emissions by up to 75%. If you have had pizzas that are cooked over real flames, you know how incredibly delicious they can be. But if authorities in New York City have their way, New Yorkers will soon be deprived of such pleasure. We live in a world that is literally going insane. We aren’t going to make enough food for everyone in the world this year, and the outlook for future years is even worse. Our leaders know that global famine is coming, but they seem absolutely determined to make it even worse. During this upcoming holiday, take some time to enjoy our sun while you still can. Is that still possible today? Yes, according to those who have visited Tall el-Hamman – the little-known site actually discovered and first written about in 2017. My wife and I had planned to lead a tour the next year, but I suffered the first of several strokes a day before we were to leave. I have never seen Tatt el-Hamman in Jordan; I still hope I can. Why? Because I want to see if it's still proof for the ungodly – so that fewer people will need to see it with their own eyes. The description of the biblical destruction of Sodom is supported by recent archaeological discoveries. Dr. Steven Collins, a Christian biblical scholar and the dean at the College of Archaeology at Trinity Southwest University, Albuquerque, New Mexico, has been excavating an archaeological site for the past 15 years. Collins collaborated with a wide range of scientific experts from diverse fields and employed the most advanced techniques to develop a comprehensive picture of the fate of Sodom and Gomorrah. His results were published in the prestigious scientific journal Nature. The 64-page paper makes a highly credible and most astounding claim. The site is located in the Jordan Valley near the Dead Sea and dates back to the Middle Bronze Age. This is precisely the time and place where one would expect to find the ruins of biblical Sodom. Incredibly, the city unearthed there was destroyed in a unique event that seems to match the biblical account Sodom's ruination. The way the world seems headed today, this seems to be the most likely time for the infamous city to be rediscovered. The biblical account describes Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding area as being overturned at the same time by an act of God – a catastrophic rainstorm of fire and brimstone. Only Lot, Abraham's nephew, and his two daughters escaped with their lives. Not so, Lot's wife, who disobeyed an angel's warning not to glance back at the destruction and perished. In Genesis, Chapter 13 we learn that Abraham and his nephew Lot had pitched their tents between Beit El and Ai, which is north of Jerusalem. Their shepherds were not getting along with each other, so Abraham suggested to Lot that they part ways, and Lot should find somewhere else to live. At that point the Bible says: "And Lot lifted up his eyes, and beheld all the plain of Jordan, that it was well watered every where, before the Lord destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, even as the garden of the Lord, like the land of Egypt, as thou comest unto Zoar." This is how Dr. Collins describes, in his paper, the plain north of the Dead Sea that the Jordon River flows through: "Located in a generally arid region, the Jordan Valley is one of the best-watered areas in all the southern Levant (Jordan, Israel, and Palestine). In addition to numerous springs created by a disgorging Transjordanian aquifer, the area had hydrological conditions for human habitation somewhat analogous to the Nile Delta region, which is also bordered by arid terrain," he wrote. He added that Tall el-Hamman was the largest of the five cities destroyed and was 10 times larger than Jerusalem. Why did God destroy Sodom and Gomorrah? Genesis 18:20 says, "And the Lord said, Because the cry of Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grievous;" Jeremiah 23:14 says, "I have seen also in the prophets of Jerusalem an horrible thing: they commit adultery, and walk in lies: they strengthen also the hands of evildoers, that none doth return from his wickedness; they are all of them unto me as Sodom, and the inhabitants thereof as Gomorrah." And why should we care today about the fate of these ancient cities? Mark 6:11 quotes Jesus as he sends out his disciples, "And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear you, when ye depart thence, shake off the dust under your feet for a testimony against them. Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment, than for that city." I think the message is to repent – before it's too late. |

Daily Jot: The Farm Chronicles: 4th of July at the Beach - Bill Wilson – www.dailyjot.com It was the July 4, 1967 week when we took our annual beach vacation with the Heft’s to Myrtle Beach, SC. But it was haying season. Bill and Martha Heft and their daughters Jean and Nancy lived on a small farm down the road from us. We had our hay to get in the barn and they had their hay to get in. Sometimes we worked up until the night before we left on that long trip, sweating it out in the hay mow, bale after bale as fast as possible, to not only beat the rain, which was normal for Northeastern Ohio, but also to get the haying done before we left for the beach. Sometimes, we would go help the Hefts because our other neighbor and close friend Warren McCarthy did the baling for both of us. It was a group effort. Then the morning had arrived. We packed up our Buick Electra 225 convertible and drove over to the Hefts. Then the packing began. You can imagine how much “stuff” Martha, Jean, Nancy, and my Mom—all of them glamour girls in their own way–had to take for a week at the beach. But that trunk on the Buick was like a ballroom and we packed most everything in. Bill was an excellent packer and I believe I learned how to do it well by watching him. All seven of us packed into that Buick. I was the smallest, so I got to sit on a little fold-up camp stool on the floor in the back seat. It was pretty close quarters, but we thought nothing of it. We were going to the BEACH!!!! The scenery changed quite a bit going from the north to the south. It was often like we were in another country, except the people sort of spoke the same language. We were always amazed that there were tobacco barns and what we were told were old slave quarters as we looked at the farms on the southern highways. We didn’t see these things in the north. Along the way, we would stop for gas and a potty break. It was really strange to see signs on the restrooms—Whites Only. Or the water fountains—sometimes there would be two, the cleaner one would have the sign: “White Drinking Fountain.” The other one may just have the words “Colored” painted above it. This is also something we didn’t see up north. Myrtle Beach was all decked out for July 4th. It was a festive atmosphere. But a strange thing I noticed was there were no American flags, at least I don’t recall seeing any. The streets were lined with the Confederate Stars and Bars. In fact, it became a game to spot an American flag. There was one that I remember. It was at the very top of the roller coaster. All the American flags that were usually there had been replaced with the Confederate battle flag. Must be that they couldn’t easily reach that last American flag. When asking about this, we were told that “this here is the South and we do things different than you Yankees.” Indeed, they did. I didn’t understand at 12 years old what I was experiencing, but it caused me to think. These trips South in the ‘60s quietly shaped me and affirmed Galatians 3:28, “There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.” This statement of equality in Christ is very similar to the Declaration of Independence statement that all men are created equal and endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable rights, among them life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Roughly a century had passed since the “War of Northern Aggression,” as we were often reminded, and all people in those states were welcomed into the Union with those rights restored, except some were more equal than others. Back in the Buick, we returned home, grateful for the truly wonderful southern hospitality, sunburned to where we could hardly sit, talking of all that we saw and did. |

Jesus told them, “ ‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment” (verses 37–38 NLT). In our culture when we speak of the heart, we’re generally referring to our emotions. For instance, we might say, “My mind is telling me one thing, but my heart is telling me another.” So, what did Jesus mean when He said, “You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind”? Is this saying that we should merely do this from our emotions and disengage our intellect? No. In the original language, the heart refers to the core of a person’s being. The soul refers to what we would call emotion. And the mind refers to intellectual vigor and determination. Therefore, our love for the Lord should be intelligent, feeling, and willing. Notice that God wants all three. However, some may love the Lord with all their minds but not with all their souls. They believe certain things to be true, but they are not emotionally engaged. There are others who love God with all their souls but not all their minds. They relate to God emotionally, but they don’t fill their minds with God’s Word. The Bible calls for balance. It’s telling us to love God with every fiber of our beings. We love Him with our intellectual ability, our emotional passion, and our strength. We should love God with everything we have. |
