Extreme Weather in Prophecy: Part 1 of 3 - By Nathan Jones - https://www.raptureready.com/2022/12/03/extreme-weather-in-prophecy-part-1-of-3-by-nathan-jones/   According to Genesis 1, at the beginning of human history at the Creation, everything that exists was made by God to be originally perfect. But then, sin entered and corrupted everything, so God placed a curse upon the world (Genesis 3). Mankind has long awaited the restoration of the Creation, which will happen upon Christ’s return, for then “the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God” (Romans 8:21).   Christians have long been waiting for that glorious day when Jesus Christ returns and fixes all that has fallen into sin. But, in the meantime, we live in a world where nature has been thrown into a great upheaval. Because of this great upheaval, extreme weather often occurs due to our out-of-kilter weather system.   Weather Used to Signify Important Events   God, at times, uses signs in nature to underline the importance of major events.   For example, when God etched the Ten Commandments and then gave them to Moses and the Israelites, the Bible says in Exodus 19 that this divine event was covered in smoke and rumblings and great fire on the mountain.   “Then it came to pass on the third day, in the morning, that there were thunderings and lightnings, and a thick cloud on the mountain; and the sound of the trumpet was very loud, so that all the people who were in the camp trembled… Now Mount Sinai was completely in smoke, because the Lord descended upon it in fire. Its smoke ascended like the smoke of a furnace, and the whole mountain quaked greatly” (Exodus 19:16-18).   Also, when Jesus was born, God placed the star of Bethlehem up in the sky to show people where the Messiah had been born. The wise men asked: “Where is He who has been born King of the Jews? For we have seen His star in the East and have come to worship Him” (Matthew 2:2).   And again, when Christ was crucified, for three hours, darkness blotted out the daylight, and Jerusalem experienced a great earthquake: “from the sixth hour until the ninth hour there was darkness over all the land… and the earth quaked, and the rocks were split” (Matthew 27:45,51).   God used and still does use weather to point to significant events in history.   Weather Used as Remedial Judgments   At other times, God uses the signs of nature, such as extreme weather, as remedial judgments for the purpose of calling wicked nations to repentance. For example, in Deuteronomy 28, Moses warned the Israelites that if, as a people, they became exceedingly wicked, exactly which curses would befall them:   “Cursed shall be the fruit of your body and the produce of your land, the increase of your cattle and the offspring of your flocks” (v. 18). “And your heavens which are over your head shall be bronze, and the earth which is under you shall be iron. The Lord will change the rain of your land to powder and dust; from the heaven it shall come down on you until you are destroyed” (vv. 23-24). “You shall build a house, but you shall not dwell in it; you shall plant a vineyard, but shall not gather its grapes” (v. 30).   Moses noted God’s purpose for His remedial judgments should the Israelites refuse to repent and return to Him and live by His moral law:   “Moreover all these curses shall come upon you and pursue and overtake you, until you are destroyed, because you did not obey the voice of the Lord your God, to keep His commandments and His statutes which He commanded you. And they shall be upon you for a sign and a wonder, and on your descendants forever” (vv. 45-46).   Sure enough, once the Israelites had become steeped in sin, God would inflict them with remedial judgments through extreme weather. When the Prophet Elijah called King Ahab and the nation of Israel to repent, Ahab flat-out refused, and so God sent a drought that withered the crops for three-plus long years (1 Kings 17-18).   Another time when Israel had become lethargic in their relationship with their Heavenly Father, God cursed the land with a great locust swarm that quickly consumed all of Israel’s crops. As God had desired, the Israelites did repent (Joel 1-3).   Also, after the Jews had returned from captivity in Babylon and were tasked with rebuilding the Temple, they only got as far as the foundation before they gave up and stopped working for 14 long years. God waited until, finally, He decimated their crops with root rot and mildew and sent furious hail storms to cut the remaining plants down. Again, as God had desired, the people repented and right away started back working on the Temple’s reconstruction (Haggai 1-2).   Now how do we know the difference between a natural disaster caused by a fallen world and when God uses nature as a remedial judgment? Three points. One, the timing of the event as it relates to the sins of the nation can help the people discern which is which. Two, the magnitude of the event reveals whether God is speaking or not because remedial judgments are designed to produce great shock value in order to capture people’s attention and force them to think with an eternal perspective. And three, the prophet’s declaration, for the prophet speaking for God would say, “I am doing this to get you to repent.” So, we can know the difference based on the timing, the magnitude, and the prophet’s declaration concerning natural disasters.   Pointing to Christ’s Return   Some may be thinking, “That’s the Old Testament! Aren’t we living in the Age of Grace? God doesn’t use the sign of nature anymore, right?” Well, not according to Jesus Christ. In the Olivet Discourse (Matthew 24, Luke 21, Mark 13), Jesus provided ten signs that would point to His soon return. He said they would increase in frequency and intensity – like the birth pangs of a woman in labor – the closer we got to His return. “But all these things are merely the beginning of birth pains” (Matthew 24:8). Note in particular how birth pains increase in frequency and intensity the closer to the baby’s birth.   Some of the signs of the end times that would grow increasingly worse until Christ’s return: war: “For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places” (Matthew 24:7). Other signs would involve “fearful sights and great signs from heaven” (Luke 21:11). Likewise, “there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring; men’s hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken” (Luke 21:25-26).   This is the point when these signs become so violent and happen so frequently that “then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory” (Luke 21:27). Haven’t Christians been longing for Christ’s return? Jesus adds great hope that “when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near” (Luke 21:28).   The Apostle Paul confirmed that Christians are meant to be able to discern the signs that point to Jesus’ soon return so as not to be taken unaware. He noted this in 1 Thessalonians 5:1.   “But concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, you have no need that I should write to you. For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night. For when they say, ‘Peace and safety!’ then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape. But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief. You are all sons of light and sons of the day…” (1 Thessalonians 5:1-5)   For those who know Jesus Christ as their Savior, they are a son or daughter of the light and son or daughter of the day. Why Are So Many Major Volcanoes Suddenly Exploding All Over The World? - by Michael Snyder - http://endoftheamericandream.com/why-are-so-many-major-volcanoes-suddenly-exploding-all-over-the-world/   Should we be concerned by all of the volcanic activity that we are witnessing all over the planet right now? According to Volcano Discovery, 27 different volcanoes are erupting at this moment and many others are showing signs of waking up. Of course this comes at a time when we are also seeing lots of unusual earthquakes around the globe. I have been regularly warning my readers about the instability of our planet, and it appears that seismic activity is beginning to spike as we approach the end of 2022. So will this trend continue once we get into 2023?   As you read this article, the two biggest volcanoes in Hawaii are simultaneously erupting for the very first time since 1984…   Two of Hawaii’s largest volcanoes are erupting simultaneously.   Hawaii’s Mauna Loa, the world’s largest active volcano, erupted for the first time in decades on Sunday night. Nearby, Kilauea is also erupting — both on the archipelago’s Big Island.   Dual eruptions haven’t been seen since 1984.   Kilauea has been active for a while, but we haven’t seen Mauna Loa erupt in decades.   But what is concerning authorities is not just the fact that it is erupting.   The violence with which it has exploded has caught everyone off guard. It is being reported that it was sending boiling hot lava 148 feet into the air on Tuesday…   People were pulling over in their cars throughout the night to get a glimpse of the striking scene – a blazing river cutting through the darkened horizon.   They took photos and videos, stood in silence, and even urged others to turn off their car lights for a better, and more reverential, view.   Mauna Loa has been erupting for days, with lava shooting to heights of up to 148 feet on Tuesday.   Can you imagine seeing lava shoot 10 stories into the sky?   That would be quite an intimidating sight.   Also, the speed with which the lava is flowing is absolutely breathtaking. Personally, I don’t know if I have ever seen a river of lava move so fast.   And we are being warned that lava from the volcano could soon reach one of Hawaii’s most important roads…   Hawaii’s Mauna Loa volcano, the world’s largest active volcano, continues to erupt, and there are new fears that lava flows could take out a major road connecting the east and west sides of Hawaii’s Big Island in the coming days.   There’s “a very high probability that this lava flow, if it continues, will definitely reach the road,” Ken Hon, scientist-in-charge at the Hawaiian Volcano Observatory, told CBS News.   Meanwhile, a giant volcano in Indonesia just erupted as well.   On Sunday, Mount Semeru sent clouds of extremely hot ash a mile into the sky…   Indonesia’s Mount Semeru erupted Sunday spewing hot ash clouds a mile high and rivers of lava down its side while triggering the evacuation of nearly 2,000 people exactly one year after its last major eruption killed dozens.   The burst from the highest mountain on Indonesia’s main island of Java, around 800 kilometers (500 miles) southeast of the capital Jakarta, prompted authorities to raise the alert status for the volcano to the highest level.   It is a good thing that authorities do not allow anyone to live near Mount Semeru, because anyone that was close to the crater would have been instantly wiped out.   The nearest villages have been absolutely blanketed with ash, and those that live in those villages have been forced to flee to temporary shelters…   Several villages were blanketed with falling ash, blocking out the sun, but no casualties have been reported. Several hundred residents, their faces smeared with volcanic dust and rain, fled to temporary shelters or left for other safe areas.   Thick columns of ash were blasted more than 1,500 meters (nearly 5,000 feet) into the sky while searing gas and lava flowed down Semeru’s slopes toward a nearby river.   So will we see even more extremely alarming seismic activity in the weeks ahead?   I will definitely be watching developments very closely.   The giant rock that we all live on is showing more signs of instability, and I fully expect that this trend will continue to accelerate in 2023.   Meanwhile, global weather patterns just keep getting crazier.   Right now, the amount of snow cover in the northern hemisphere is the highest that it has been “since measurements began in 1967”…   NOAA and Rutgers University released new data that showed snow cover across the Northern Hemisphere reached the highest level since measurements began in 1967 and are currently above the 56-year mean.   “Extensive snow extent early in the season is an indicator of persistent cold as we head into winter proper,” weather blog Severe Weather Europe said.   In other words, we have never seen this much snow in the northern hemisphere at this time of the year.   Of course we haven’t even reached the beginning of winter yet.   In fact, the official start of winter is still more than two weeks away.   If things are this cold and this snowy already, what will January and February look like?   The “experts” are assuring all of us that all of this is normal.   But the “experts” have been wrong over and over again in recent years.   They simply do not understand that major changes are starting to happen to the Earth, and those changes are only going to intensify during the years to come.

‘Worshipping The Creation Rather Than The Creator’: The ‘Climate Crisis’ Is Acting As A Catalyst For A New World Religion – By Dean Dwyer - https://harbingersdaily.com/worshipping-the-creation-rather-than-the-creator-the-climate-crisis-is-acting-as-a-catalyst-for-a-new-world-religion/   Is there a dark side to religious environmentalism?   Between 6 -18th November, the UN climate conference COP27 was held on the Sinai Peninsula in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt. What may not be so well-known is that religious leaders from across the three monotheistic faiths signed the Jerusalem Climate Declaration just prior to the climate conference. Their stated aim was to encourage and empower religious communities around the world to curb climate change.   It has been revealed that interfaith leaders also gathered at the conference to call for climate justice and a ceremony of repentance, during which a ‘New Ten Commandments’ was conceived. The organizations responsible for coordinating this were the Elijah Interfaith Institute and its Board of World Religious Leaders; the Interfaith Centre for Sustainable Development (ICSD); the Peace Department (a US non-profit organization) and climate activist Yosef Abramowitz.   However, the ‘New 10 Commandments’ are not so new: the 10 commandments of climate change were devised some time ago by Pope Francis. An article from 2015 cites the Pope calling for a ‘cultural revolution’ to halt the ‘disturbing warming of our planet’ – the actual document being 184 pages in length. It is no surprise that Pope Francis is a leading voice in promoting the coming together of world religions to address what is widely perceived as an existential crisis: he has always encouraged inter-religious dialogue and collaboration. This was clearly demonstrated in the first-ever Pope Video message on his Monthly Prayer Intentions in 2016, in which he made the assertion that regardless of religion we are all children of God. The video featured representatives of Christianity, Islam, Buddhism and Judaism, all of whom proclaimed their respective beliefs in God, Jesus Christ, Allah and Buddha and who then declared their common belief in love.   Scripture, however, disagrees with the Pope – we are all made in the image of God, but we are not all children of God. In John 1:10-13 we read: “He was in the world, and the world was made by Him, and the world knew Him not. He came unto His own, and His own received Him not. But as many as received him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name: which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.”   In our times the focus of this interfaith movement appears to be what is commonly termed the climate crisis. One of the plans was to hold a large ceremony of repentance on Jabal Musa, purportedly the biblical Mt. Sinai site. However, only a small group of faith leaders were allowed due to security concerns. As we know Mt. Sinai is a sacred place of revelation: it was the place where God’s Ten Commandments were revealed to Moses and written by the finger of God on two stone tablets.   On Moses’ Mt. Sinai ascension he was away so long that the Israelites, thinking he may have died, demanded Aaron make an idol for them to worship and to go before them as their god on their travels. Aaron made a golden calf, and the people rejoiced. When God revealed this to Moses he descended in a rage and, witnessing the celebrations, smashed the stone tablets in anger – perhaps to demonstrate how badly the Israelites had broken God’s Law on this matter.   In a mock representation of this historic event, climate activist Yosef Abramowitz smashed two tablets atop Jabal Musa to symbolize the world’s lack of action on climate change. In doing so Yosef was expressing anger at man’s disregard for the earth rather than man’s rebellion against God’s eternal Law, as per Moses’ action. One of these tablets was painted with the words ‘broken promises’ in Hebrew; the other was painted green to symbolize the ‘green commandments’.   Rabbi Yonatan Neril (the founder of the ICSD) stated: “The climate crisis is a spiritual crisis and therefore we need the world’s religious leaders to address the problem. We will do everything to unite as many religious leaders as possible in the world to act on the climate issue.” The interfaith redress of the climate crisis has now been initiated, with representatives of all the world’s major religions gathering simultaneously on November 13th in London, Sharm El Sheikh in Jerusalem and many other locations around the world to hold a Climate Repentance Ceremony. It’s interesting to note that the places chosen were high points: London’s Parliament Hill and high points in Jerusalem, Salt Lake City Utah, Ecuador, India’s Mt Abu etc. The leaders walked together in a ‘prayerful, penitential march’ with scrolls bearing the Ten Principles for Climate Repentance. This was followed by a planned series of climate-change events for religious leaders all over the world, uniting for the sake of the planet. Biblically speaking, the high places were the sites of pagan rituals.   All Christians agree that God has commanded us to be good stewards of the earth, and in this we could certainly do better. Care for God’s creation is supported by a number of passages in the Bible, the original call to stewardship being in Genesis 1:28: “And God blessed them, and said to them, be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moves upon the earth.”   There is no dispute that we are charged to look after the planet on which we live. However, God’s first two commandments clearly state that we are to have no other gods before Him and are not to make idols. Therefore, questions need to be asked regarding the spirit of this movement. Have God’s Commandments been replaced by new commandments? Has the earth become an object of worship rather than stewardship?   There is no doubt that in addition to emotional manipulation, imagery and religious language are being used by this movement – new prophets, new commandments, a new covenant and even a new ‘Eco Bible’ (an Amazon Kindle #1 best seller) are examples. A quick internet search will also reveal an ever-increasing and evolving pantheistic worldview, through the popularity of Gaia worship (honoring the earth and reducing the human impact thereon) and other manifestations of earth worship which emphasise worshipping the creation rather than the Creator.   What appears to be occurring is that our ‘climate crisis’ is acting as a catalyst for a new religion embraced by many belief systems.   This new religion is a non-judgmental, feel-good religion of ecumenism (promoting unity among the world’s Christian churches) inclusion and acceptance of all people and all lifestyles. Notably, the only exception – the only people being rejected – are the remnant followers of Jesus Christ.

If You Really Wanted to Destroy the U.S., Then…- by Victor Davis Hanson - https://www.frontpagemag.com/if-you-really-wanted-to-destroy-the-u-s-then/   First, you would surrender our prior energy independence.   Reduce new gas and oil leases on federal lands to the lowest levels of any president in history. Cut back production at precisely the time the world is emerging from a two-year lockdown with pent-up consumer demand.   Make war on coal and nuclear power. Drain the strategic petroleum reserve to make the pain for consumers more bearable for midterm election advantage.   Cancel the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge oil and gas field. Block pipelines like the Keystone oil pipeline and the Constitution natural gas line.   Overregulate and demonize frackers and horizontal drillers. Ensure there is less investment in their exploration and production.   Making use of internal combustible engines or fossil fuel power generation is prohibitively expensive. Achieve a green oil dependency along the lines of contemporary Europe.   Second, print trillions of dollars in the new currency as the end of the lockdown, demand rises, and consumers are already saturated with COVID-19 subsidies. Keep interest rates low, well below the rate of inflation, as you print more money. Ensure that passbook holders earn no interest at the very time prices skyrocket to the highest per annum level in 40 years.   “Spread the wealth” by sending money to those who already have enough, while making it less valuable for those deemed to have too much. Ensure runaway high prices to wean the middle class off its consumerism and supposedly inspire them to buy less junk they don’t need. Damn the rich in the open and the abstract, court them in the concrete and secret of darkness.   Third, end America’s physical boundaries. Render it an amorphous people and anywhere space. End any vestigial difference between a citizen and a resident. Up the current nearly 50 million who were not born in the United States – 27 percent of California’s population – to 100 million and more by allowing 3 million illegal aliens to enter per year.   Fourth, destroy the public trust in its elections. Render Election Day is irrelevant. Make proper auditing of 110 million mail-in/early ballots impossible. Normalize ballot harvesting and curing.   Urge leftist billionaires to infuse their riches to “absorb” the work of state registrars in key precincts to ensure the correct “turn-out.”   Blast as “election denialists,” “insurrectionists,” and “democracy destroyers” anyone who objects to these radical ballot changes, neither passed by the U.S. Congress nor by state legislators. Weaponize the FBI, CIA, and Department of Justice.   Fifth, redefine crime as one rich man’s crime, another poor man’s necessity.   Let those who need “things” exercise their entitlement to them. Rewrite or ignore laws to exempt the oppressed who take, or do what they want as atonement for past systemic racism and oppression.   Six, junk is the ossified idea of a melting pot and multiracial society united by common American values and ideals. Instead, identify individuals by their superficial appearance. Seek to be a victim and monetize your claims against perceived victimizers. Call anyone a “racist” who resists.   Encourage each tribe, defined by common race, ethnicity, gender, or sexual orientation affinities, to band together to oppose the monolithic “white privilege” majority. Encourage social and tribal tensions. Racially discriminate to end discrimination.   Greenlight statue toppling, name changing, boycotting, cancel culturing, ostracizing, and Trotskyizing. Erase the past, control the present, and create a new American person for the future.   Seven, render the United States just one of many nations abroad. Abandon Afghanistan in shame. Leave behind thousands of loyal Afghan allies, billions of dollars in equipment, a billion-dollar embassy, and the largest air base in central Asia. Appease the theocracy to reenter the Iran nuclear deal.   Beg enemies like Venezuela, Russia, and Iran to pump more oil when it is politically expedient for us to have abundant supplies – oil that we have in abundance but won’t produce. Discourage friends like Guinea from producing more energy and cancel allies’ energy projects like the EastMed pipeline.   Trash but then beg Saudi Arabia to pump more oil right before the midterms for domestic political advantage.   Eight, neuter the First Amendment. Enlist Silicon Valley monopolies to silence unwanted free speech while using Big Tech’s mega profits to warp elections. Declare free expression “hate speech.” Criminalize contrarian social media.   Nine, demonize half the country as semi-fascists, un-Americans, insurrectionists, and even potential domestic terrorists. Try to change inconvenient ancient rules: seek to pack the court, end the filibuster, junk the Electoral College, and bring in two more states.   Twice impeach a president who tried to stand in your way. Try him when he is an emeritus president and private citizen. Raid his home. Seek to indict a future rival to the current president.   Ten, never mention the origins of the COVID-19 virus. Never blame China for the release of the SARS-CoV-2 virus. Exempt investigations of U.S. health officials who subsidized Chinese gain-of-function research. Ignore the Bill of Rights to mandate vaccinations, mask-wearing, and quarantines.   We have done all of the above. It would be hard to imagine any planned agenda to destroy America that would have been as injurious as what we already suffered the last two years.

Prophecy Line: Turkey Is Dressing… - Terry James - https://terryjamesprophecyline.com/blog/   Thanksgiving, the holiday, is just past, and thanksgiving is yet in the future when all the things Jesus and the prophets forewarned will play out on the timeline of human history leading to our Lord’s return. Turkey is at the center of that thanksgiving future, and the nation by that name is hastily dressing—militarily—for its part in a key prophecy, according to the prophet Ezekiel, as we have looked at numerous times.   To reiterate our overview, I revisit what I’ve written before in this regard.   A major leg of the Ezekiel 38-39 Gog-Magog coalition is coming into view. The Turkey leg is now on the end-times table of Bible prophecy.   We are given the nations that will make up that attacking force by the prophet Ezekiel:   Son of man, set thy face against Gog, the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him, And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal:And I will turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws, and I will bring thee forth, and all thine army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed with all sorts of armour, even a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords: Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya with them; all of them with shield and helmet: Gomer, and all his bands; the house of Togarmah of the north quarters, and all his bands: and many people with thee. (Ezekiel 38:2–6)   Modern-day Turkey covers most of the territory that made up ancient Togarmah. Ezekiel was told to prophesy that the house of Togarmah will be among the horde from the north of Jerusalem that will assault Israel near the time of Christ’s return.   Many things have been written that analyze developments to Israel’s north. It is as if those with spiritually attuned eyes and ears are being given a play-by-play unfolding of this coalition.   Russia is pared down from its configuration as the nucleus of the former Soviet Union. It more or less once again covers territory that it encompassed when Ezekiel gave the Gog-Magog prophecy. Meshech and Tubal comprised that territory. The “Gog” demonic spirit will, according to this prophecy, inhabit the chief prince, or leader of Russia. This leader is also destined to be the leader of the entire coalition.   Developments toward these prophecies have been nothing short of phenomenal lately.   Russia, after falling apart as the USSR, is again a powerful force. It has inserted its influence, including a considerable military presence, into the region directly north of Israel.   Iran, which is the centermost territory today that once was called Persia, has joined Russia as a close ally—again, just to Israel’s north. Russia and Iran’s military assets co-mingle in the region to influence Syria, another end-times player.   Russia’s president, Vladimir Putin, as we’ve said many times, looks to be the prototype for the leader who will be Gog of the Gog-Magog force prophetically scheduled to invade toward Israel to the south.   The prophet Ezekiel was told to foretell that God, Himself, will put hooks into the Gog-leader’s jaws and jerk him southward like a fisherman would set hooks into a big fish’s mouth and reel him in.   Now Togarmah (Turkey) is hastily in the process of militarily dressing for its end-times fulfillment as part of the Gog-Magog assault on God’s chosen nation.   [Turkish] President Tayyip Erdogan said on Wednesday that Turkey’s air operations against a Kurdish militia in northern Syria were only the beginning and it would launch a land operation there when convenient after an escalation in retaliatory strikes.   He said Turkey was more determined than ever to secure its southern border with a “security corridor,” while ensuring the territorial integrity of both Syria and Iraq, where it has also been conducting operations against Kurdish militants.   “We are continuing the air operation and will come down hard on the terrorists from land at the most convenient time for us,” Erdogan told his AK Party’s lawmakers in a speech in parliament.   “We have formed part of this corridor (and) will take care of it starting with places such as Tel Rifat, Manbij and Ain al-Arab (Kobani), which are the sources of trouble,” he added.   Russia has asked Turkey to refrain from a full-scale ground offensive in Syria, senior Russian negotiator Alexander Lavrentyev said on Wednesday after a fresh round of talks about Syria with Turkish and Iranian delegations in Kazakhstan. (“Turkey plans to take action on Syria when it would be in its best interest to move forward,” Reuters, 11/23/22)   Syria, of course, is another key player in end-times prophecy. Damascus, as we have looked at many times, is prophetically scheduled for destruction. All Gog-Magog players in the Ezekiel 38–39 drama have their attention on Syria. This is the area to watch of great prophetic interest.   The burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap. (Isaiah 17:1)

Saved By Grace - By Dennis Huebshman - https://www.raptureready.com/2022/12/03/saved-by-grace-by-dennis-huebshman/   Ephesians 2:4-9 is very specific as to how we “qualify” for a home with Jesus in Heaven. “But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved—and raised us up with Him and seated us with Him in the Heavenly places in Christ Jesus, so that in the coming ages He might show the immeasurable riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. For by grace you have been saved through Faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.” (ESV – all emphasis mine)   Anyone who tries to say they “earned” or “paid” for their way to eternal life is absolutely wrong. For those who say “Pastor X,” “Priest Y,” or “Shaman Z” saved me from the lake of fire, they are putting their eternal souls in the hands of mortal beings. This also applies to Islamic leaders and even Jewish Rabbis who have the choice to save themselves but cannot guarantee paradise to anyone else. We are all here to share God’s word, but everyone makes their own choice.   Through the grace of Jesus the Christ, our true Savior, and the mercy of the Lord God Jehovah, the only true God and Creator of the universe and everything in it, we are given the opportunity to be saved. The only stipulation to being saved is we must choose this for ourselves.   Consider John 14:6; “Jesus said to him, I am the Way, the Truth and the Life; no one comes to the Father except through Me.” Then we look at Acts 4:12; “And there is Salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under Heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”   Paul tells us in 1 Timothy 2:5, “For there is one God and there is one mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus.” John 3:18; “Whoever believes in Him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.”   In 1 John 1:23, “No one who denies the Son has the Father. Whoever confesses the Son has the Father also.” Then 1 John 5:11-12, “And this is the testimony, that God gave us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.”   The gift that was given was not because we were good, deserving humans. Romans 5:8; “but God shows His love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”   Too many people today are putting all their hope and expectations in what this earth has to offer. That amounts to not even one minute of time earned in Heaven.   For all who will have received and accepted the gift that our Savior gave us through His sacrifice at Calvary, they will spend eternity with Him. The steps are found in Romans 10: 9-13. The “secret” is to not make the simple steps complicated.   Jesus knew that more would take this world over His gift of eternal life. Matthew 7:13-14; “Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few.”   It’s easy to go along with the world and the “popular” views it has. The hard part is to believe that there aren’t more steps to having eternity with Jesus. If you can believe in A, B, and C, you can follow the simple steps:   1.   Admit you’re a sinner as every living, breathing human is (Romans 3:10; Romans 3:23). 2.   Believe and have faith that Jesus is the only way to the pathway that leads to forgiveness and the only way to the gift of an eternal home with Him (John 14:6). 3.   Call on Jesus to save you (Romans 10:13).   In 1891, Fanny Crosby wrote a Hymn called “Saved By Grace” It’s a very pleasant view of looking forward to being with our King and knowing that it’s only through His grace that we are saved.   1) Some day the silver cord will break, and I no more as now shall sing; but oh the joy when I shall wake within the Palace of the King.   Ref) And I shall see Him face to face and tell the story – saved by grace; and I shall see Him face to face and tell the story – saved by grace.   2) Some day my earthly house shall fall; I cannot tell how soon ’twill be; but this I know – my All in All has now a place in Heaven for me. (ref)   3) Some day, when fades the golden sun beneath the rosy tinted west, My blessed Lord will say, “Well Done,” and I shall enter into rest. (ref)   4) Some day: till then I’ll watch and wait, my lamp all trimmed and burning bright, that when the Savior opens the gate, my soul to Him may take its flight. (ref)   Satan is pulling out all the stops, as he knows his time here is getting short. There are far too many souls that are only too eager to follow his temptations, and Christians are considered the enemy. It’s all in the events our Savior and others described that would be taking place just before the end of this age. Nothing further has to happen before Jesus returns to call His flock up to meet Him in the air in the Rapture.   The key is in the old Boy Scout motto, “Be Prepared.” It isn’t too early to call on Jesus to save you and reserve a spot with Him in eternal glory. Waiting until a “more convenient time” could prove to be a very costly error.   He is always waiting and listening for lost souls to call out to Him to be Saved. Our Heavenly Father will force no one to receive and accept the gift that is offered but will gladly have a Home waiting in Heaven with Him for all who do.   Call Now! – Come, Lord Jesus!   huebshmana46@gmail.com
