PROPHECY UPDATE...............10/4/2022

Beyond Human – Pete Garcia - https://www.rev310.net/post/beyond-human

But the Lord came down to see the city and the tower which the sons of men had built. And the Lord said, “Indeed the people are one and they all have one language, and this is what they begin to do; now nothing that they propose to do will be withheld from them. Genesis 11:5-6 (my emphasis)

Over the past forty years or so, there has been significant movement on the subject of transhumanism. According to Wikipedia, Transhumanism is an international and intellectual movement that aims to transform the human condition by developing and making widely available sophisticated technologies to greatly enhance human intellectual, physical, and psychological capacities. Transhumanist thinkers study the potential benefits and dangers of emerging technologies that could overcome fundamental human limitations, as well as the ethics of using such technologies. The most common transhumanist thesis is that human beings may eventually be able to transform themselves into different beings with abilities so greatly expanded from the natural condition as to merit the label of posthuman beings.

What's been fascinating is watching this whole issue move from the realm of science fiction to science reality. Whether we want to blame pop culture singularly, or the modernization of Western Civilization collectively, is irrelevant. What is not irrelevant is the sheer interest in the subject skyrocketing by 300 or 400%. Adding fuel to the fire is the serious scientific and academic means by which this subject went from being impossible, to inevitable, without ever pausing through improbable. While each of the following may not be exclusively responsible for the rise in transhumanism, they are each connected to the greater subject as a whole. They each have their linkages and connections to the proposed "next step" in human evolution.

  • Artificial Intelligence (Singularity)
  • Quantum technology
  • Neuro-linked prosthetics
  • Autonomous drone technology
  • Nanotechnology
  • Cloning technology
  • Genetic engineering
  • Implantable technology
  • Enhanced humans
  • Anti-aging technologies
  • Smart devices & technologies
  • Digital currency

On one side of this issue, you have a powerful group of technocrats, scientists, academics, and progressive globalists who are aggressively funding and developing the technologies which are forcing mankind writ large into the next stage of what they believe to be Darwinian evolution. For them, the AI Singularity is an absolute certainty, and humans better "evolve" or else they will be wiped out by a sentient AI system; thus, the necessity for transhumanism (enhanced humans).

On the other side of this issue, are the politically awake, and the prophetically astute, who are raising red flags left and right at the potential dangers that are facing humanity in light of such brash initiatives. The cautionary issues surrounding transhumanism include creating an Orwellian, dystopic, global, totalitarian government where humans are relegated to become nothing more than cyborgs connected to a hive mind. The second and even more problematic issue is if AI Singularity occurs and abruptly decides that ending humanity (enhanced or not) is in its best interest.

Of course, the largest category in all of this is in the middle where the largely unaware mass of humanity either has no idea what is happening or has no concern about how quickly the world is hurdling towards this brave new world.

Wherever you find yourself in this issue, the reality is that it is coming, and its arrival will fundamentally change how we live on planet earth, and may one day even challenge what it means to be human. As a western society, we are already struggling with what it means to be male, female, or even an adult, the next logical barrier they (the progressive left) want to take down is what it means to be human. Nevertheless, we are being thrust into this time regardless of whether we want to go there or not.

It's almost identical to how just a few men clandestinely working on the Manhattan Project, forced all of mankind into the Atomic Age. Back then, the justification for creating such terrifying weapons of mass destruction, was so that we could beat the Third Reich to the technology. Today, the same justification is being used because less ethical entities (China, Google, DARPA, etc.) are all racing to create some SkyNet-like system, thus necessitating the need for a Six Billion Dollar Man.

The main difference between then and now is that with transhumanism, you don't just have a few, but many governments, academic organizations, and corporations are all racing ahead to be the first to crack the code on issues like anti-aging, immortality, singularity, enhanced humans, and a dozen or so other issues that would fundamentally change what it means to be a mortal man. And all of this would be terribly nihilistic and potentially horrifying were it not for one thought.

God will never settle for second place.

Conclusion

Then I turned to see the voice that spoke with me. And having turned I saw seven golden lampstands, and in the midst of the seven lampstands One like the Son of Man, clothed with a garment down to the feet and girded about the chest with a golden band. His head and hair were white like wool, as white as snow, and His eyes like a flame of fire; His feet were like fine brass, as if refined in a furnace, and His voice as the sound of many waters; He had in His right hand seven stars, out of His mouth went a sharp two-edged sword, and His countenance was like the sun shining in its strength. And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as dead. But He laid His right hand on me, saying to me, “Do not be afraid; I am the First and the Last. I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen. And I have the keys of Hades and of Death. Revelation 1:12-18

I don't know about you, but every time I read this passage, I get chills. In fact, whenever I read this passage aloud, I get choked up because of how powerfully descriptive it is of our Lord's true nature. When God became the man Christ Jesus in the incarnation, He had to dim (or tone down) His true nature so that He could even walk among us without causing everyone He met to fall over as dead.

We think about the Apostle John, who physically knew Jesus as a man. He was there at the Mt. of Transfiguration. He was there at the cross. He was there after His resurrection. And John still couldn't physically take it when he saw Jesus' true unfiltered nature...it was too much. God told Moses that no man could see Him and live (Ex. 33:20, Deut. 4:12), to which John the Baptist would later reiterate (John 1:18). Although Daniel only saw some kind of unnamed, yet high-ranking angel, he became physically weakened and had to be restored (Dan. 10:8-11). The same thing happened to Isaiah, who saw the throne room and God in a vision. Even then, he was immediately overcome by his own sinfulness and inadequacies and had to be physically restored (Isaiah 6).

When we become born again (John 3:3-6), we are not just changed from bad to good, we are changed from spiritually dead, to spiritually alive. Our new spiritual life comes about by our being justified before God the Father as Holy, not because of any of our own works (as if God needed our works), but through the shed blood of His Son (Eph. 2:8-9, Col. 1:13-14). At the moment of belief, we are indwelt and sealed by God the Holy Spirit, who not only transformatively gives us a new nature, but we become a new creation altogether (Eph. 1:11-14, 2 Cor. 5:17-21). This is why in the Old Testament, only Adam and the angels could be called "sons of God," (as they were direct creations of God), but in the New Testament, all born-again believers can also claim this title. True born-again believers are direct creations of God (Romans 8:14).

As such, when the Rapture happens, we will be changed from new spiritual creations dwelling in our yet mortal and temporary bodies to new spiritual creations indwelling in our new glorified and eternal bodies. This is why the Rapture is an absolute necessity for the Church. We must shed these mortal frames, in order to exist where God dwells. Furthermore, this necessary transition from mortal to immortal must happen prior to the Tribulation (70th Week of Daniel), because we must be judged first (1 Cor. 3:9-17, 2 Cor. 5:1-11, 1 Peter 4:17) before God judges the world who rejected His Son (Jer. 30:7-11).

Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure. 1 John 3:2-3

Nevertheless, when Christ appears (at the Rapture), we will see Him as He is, for we will be like Him. We know that after His resurrection, Christ could change His appearance at will (John 20:14-17), He could appear and disappear at will (Luke 24:31), could walk through walls (Luke 24:36-37), but could also be felt (John 20:27) and eat (Acts 10:40-41). Somehow and someway, we will be like this. To paraphrase my good friend Lee Brainard with regards to our glorified bodies, we will still be able to manipulate the physical domain, but we will no longer be constrained by it.

One final thing I will say is that if my faith and hope were only in humanity and our ability to save ourselves through technological evolution, I would be terribly depressed. What good would it be if I were as capable as Captain America, but faded into nothingness when my enhanced body finally died? What good would it be if I had all the technological advances of an Iron Man suit, but couldn't save my own soul? What a bleak and absolutely hopeless future it is for those who think cybernetically modifying our bodies is somehow redemptive. How utterly short-sighted and boring this view is when compared to eternity and the wonders God has in store for those who are His (Eph. 2:4-7). One day very soon, you and I, and all those (alive and dead) who are in Christ, will move beyond human. We will become, the fully manifested sons and daughters of God, co-heirs reigning with our Creator for all of eternity (Rom. 8:16-18).

Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does corruption inherit incorruption. Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed— in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: “Death is swallowed up in victory.”

“O Death, where is your sting?

O Hades, where is your victory?”

The sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians 15:51-57

Two State Solution, Giving Away Energy Rights: Lapid Is Damaging Israel ‘In Every Possible Aspect’ – By Breanna Claussen - https://harbingersdaily.com/two-state-solution-giving-away-energy-rights-lapid-is-damaging-israel-in-every-possible-aspect/

Unrepentant of his earlier remarks to the UN, Interim Israeli Prime Minister Yair Lapid has reportedly doubled down on his call for a two-state solution to the European Union on Monday.

“Over the past year, there [has] been a positive change in our work with the Palestinian Authority. We are working with them and helping their economy develop,” he stated. “In my speech at the UN General Assembly, I expressed once more my commitment to the two-state solution.”

Last month, Lapid came under intense backlash for his speech to the United Nations in which he advocated for dividing the land of Israel via a two-state solution with the Palestinians.

“An agreement with the Palestinians, based on two states for two peoples, is the right thing for Israel’s security, for Israel’s economy, and for the future of our children,” the Israeli caretaker Prime Minister insisted to the General Assembly. “Despite all the obstacles, still today a large majority of Israelis support the vision of this two-state solution. I am one of them.”

According to a recent poll, Lapid’s claim, that “a large majority” of Israelis are in favor of a two-state solution, is wildly inaccurate. The Times of Israel, reporting on the survey’s findings, noted that only “31% of Jewish Israelis think [the] next gov’t should push for such a peace deal with the Palestinians, with nearly 60% opposed.”

The Bible sends a stark and prophetic warning against nations and people that seek to divide the nation of Israel and, specifically, its capital Jerusalem.

Zechariah 12:3 states: “And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.”

A two-state solution advocates for the dividing of Jerusalem, with the east portion of the city being given to the Palestinians for their state capital.

Lapid’s Controversial EU Meeting

Additionally, Lapid’s comments on Monday, re-expressing his commitment to the division of Israel, occurred during highly controversial talks with the “European Union – Israel Association Council”, which have not convened since 2012.

Association Council meetings were supposed to be conducted on an annual basis beginning in 2009, however, former Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu discontinued the talks in 2012 due to the EU’s unrelenting condemnation of Israeli settlements in Judea and Samaria.

“This Council has not convened in over a decade – for the wrong reasons,” Lapid asserted. “The fact that we are convening it now corrects a historic mistake.”

The current interim leader of the Jewish State has not only advocated that his own country be divided but now he has also taken a decidedly nonchalant attitude toward nations which question Israeli sovereignty.

Mike Pompeo, who became the first U.S. Secretary of State to visit an Israeli settlement in Judea and Samaria, in 2021, underscored that nations who refuse to recognize Israeli sovereignty over the land are endorsing a “false narrative that is the very beating heart of modern antisemitism.”

Lapid’s ’Shameful Deal’ With Lebanon

Another disastrous initiative by Lapid surrounds an agreement with Hezbollah-run Lebanon.

Danny Danon, who formerly served as Israeli ambassador to the United Nations, strongly condemned the move.

“The Lapid-Nasrallah deal is a shameful deal that will damage the power of israel in every possible aspect,” Danon warned. “Many sections of the media are encouraging the shameful agreement but it is important that the public knows the facts.”

Here are some claims that were heard and presented by Lapid’s reformers as “profit” for Israel, but in practice they are a surrender to Hezbollah and Lebanon.

1. “The agreement brings to an end a decade of territorial dispute” – In reality, israel gives up all disputed territory to Lebanon, after the Lebanese changed their original position from Line 23, and created a fictitious southern border line (point 29 which contains the Kanah Field, and no part of Shark Field). The demand now turns out to be a trick for the needs of negotiations, meaning they demand more ‘in a successful method’ in order to close the original demand which is Line 23, so that it will look like the Lebanese have “agreed”, when in fact the Lebanese have received their full demand.

2. “Israel gives up the Kana reservoir, and financial distribution” – In reality, this is the part of the gas reservoir found in the israel area (less than 10%), i.e. not the relative part of the amount of gas in the reservoir, but only the small part of the geological structure that exists on the Israeli side – by the way, not sure that gas exists in it at all.

3. “The float line will be anchored and known internationally” – we never talk about the movement of the float line, the border starts from a point that exits from the shoreline, but splits into the disputed area about 10 km west into the sea. So that in every situation, the line of the guardians would remain in place.

4. No mention in the agreement to profits from oil production – no mention of oil production, if operations at sea allow deeper drilling worth billions of dollars.

5. israel you can start producing gas from a shark reservoir – There is no dispute that a shark is found entirely in the economic waters of Israel. For comparison, it’s like Israel saying that it now “can” build apartments in Tel Aviv.

What Should Christians Think?

Biblically, we know that we as Christians have a responsibility to support and pray for Israel, regardless of the actions and positions of the country’s government.

Psalm 122:6-9 KJV – “Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: They shall prosper that love thee. Peace be within thy walls, And prosperity within thy palaces. For my brethren and companions’ sakes, I will now say, Peace be within thee. Because of the house of the LORD our God I will seek thy good.”

Praying for Israel is especially important considering Israel’s upcoming elections this November, and just like the United States, there is much at stake for Israel. Ultimately, we know that it is God who “removeth kings, and setteth up kings” (Daniel 2:21), and no matter the outcome, things are moving precisely according to God’s timeline of the “last days” laid out in Scripture, which culminates with the salvation of Israel and second coming of Christ (Zechariah 12:9-10).

Romans 11:25-27 KJV – “For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in. And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, And shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob: For this is my covenant unto them, When I shall take away their sins.”

As Pastor Jack Hibbs recently reminded Christians, everything we are seeing take place in this world, no matter how distressing, “is actually catching up to what the Bible has been saying all along” would take place in the time prior to the return of Christ.

He Cannot Deny Himself - By Gene Lawley - https://www.raptureready.com/2022/09/24/he-cannot-deny-himself-by-gene-lawley/

The passage from 2 Timothy 2:11-13 begins with “This is a faithful saying” and ends with this: “If we believe not, yet He remains faithful; He cannot deny Himself” (KJV).

The previous verse says, “if we deny Him, He also will deny us.” Surprisingly, perhaps, is this truth that it is not our faith that is the true foundation of our relationship with the Lord, but it is His faithfulness! In other words, the strength of my faith is not the key, but the strength of His faithfulness is the key to my eternal security.

Note 1 Peter 1:5, which says we believers are “kept by the power of God for salvation through faith, ready to be revealed in the last time.” Our faith, then, links to His faithfulness. The writer of Hebrews 12:2 backs that up with this: “Looking to Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith….”

Further establishing that truth is 1 Corinthians 3:11 where Paul writes, “For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.” He goes on to discuss what we build on that foundation, what will endure, or what will not, like wood, straw and stubble. Even so, with fruitlessness, one is still saved because of that single foundation of Jesus Christ. And that seems to wrap it up tightly.

Consider again the article’s title, that He cannot deny Himself, as the verse above states. Simply put, it says God never changes. Jesus said, in Mark 13:31, “Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will never pass away!” He is the Creator of all things—all things.

When Paul wrote of Christ, the Creator, in Colossians 1:16-17, it was all-inclusive: “For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist.” It is truly breathtaking—He holds all things together!

It is clear that a false prophet is one who does not proclaim that Jesus, the Christ, has come in the flesh, just as John declares in 1 John 4:1-3: “Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. By this you know the Spirit of God. Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world.”

It is historical fact that Jesus Christ has been on the earth and is easily documented; just look at our calendar. But the issue is believing who He really is. He is the Christ, the promised One from God.

Let’s look even deeper into that very thing. He declares that He is one with God and tells Philip, “He who has seen Me has seen the Father” (John 14:9b).

Now, look at Paul’s description of the Father to those philosophers at Mars Hill in Athens. He was identifying their “unknown god,” which was the label on one of their idols:

“Therefore, the One whom you worship without knowing, Him I proclaim to you: God, who made the world and everything in it, since He is Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands. Nor is He worshiped with men’s hands, as though He needed anything, since He gives to all life, breath, and all things.

“And He has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined their pre-appointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings, so that they should seek the Lord, in the hope that they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us; for in Him we live and move and have our being, as also some of your own poets have said, ‘For we are also His offspring.’

“Therefore, since we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Divine Nature is like gold or silver or stone, something shaped by art and man’s devising. Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent, because He has appointed a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness by the Man whom He has ordained. He has given assurance of this to all by raising Him from the dead” (Acts 17:23b-31).

It is a long quotation that is filled with the knowledge of God. Think of that description of God, “In Him we live and move and have our being.” It leads us to another revelation about this God. Look what the psalmist David wrote of Him in Psalm 139. He is all-knowing, ever-present, and all-powerful:

“O Lord, You have searched me and known me. You know my sitting down and my rising up; You understand my thought afar off. You comprehend my path and my lying down and are acquainted with all my ways. For there is not a word on my tongue, but behold, O Lord, You know it altogether. You have hedged me behind and before and laid Your hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me. It is high, I cannot attain it” (Psalm 139:1-6).

This penetrating knowledge of a person is beyond our imagination. This God is truly God! May we carefully guard our thoughts, for purity is one of His attributes.

He is also everywhere at all times, in keeping with His description that “in Him we live and move and have our being,” as Psalm 139:7-12 makes Him known:

“Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence? If I ascend into heaven, You are there; If I make my bed in hell, behold, You are there. If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, even there Your hand shall lead me, and Your right hand shall hold me. If I say, ‘Surely the darkness shall fall on me,’ even the night shall be light about me, indeed, the darkness shall not hide from You, but the night shines as the day; the darkness and the light are both alike to You.”

God’s power is shown in His creative ability—to speak and it is done, whether it is a universe or the tiniest particle thereof. Or, more intricately conceived, such as mankind, made in His own image. This is revealed in Psalm 139:13-18:

“For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Marvelous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well. My frame was not hidden from You when I was made in secret, and skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, the days fashioned for me, when as yet there were none of them. How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How great is the sum of them! If I should count them, they would be more in number than the sand. When I awake, I am still with You.”

We can only follow this grand acclaim with David’s prayer in 1 Chronicles 29:10b-13 to somehow approach this level of praise:

“Blessed are You, Lord God of Israel, our Father, forever and ever. Yours, O Lord, is the greatness, the power and the glory, the victory and the majesty, for all that is in heaven and in earth is Yours. Yours is the kingdom, O Lord, and You are exalted as head over all. Both riches and honor come from You, and You reign over all. In Your hand is power and might; in Your hand it is to make great and to give strength to all. Now therefore, our God, we thank You and praise Your glorious name.”

Finally, then, we come to acknowledge this that Paul declares in 1 Timothy 3:16: “And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifested in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen by angels, preached among the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up in glory.”

It leaves us with this reminder in John 4:24, “God is spirit, and we must worship Him in spirit and in truth.”

Daily Jot: The end is not yet - Bill Wilson – www.dailyjot.com

The headlines are full of quotes from people who are pounding the war drums. So much so that many Christians believe the world is now in apocalyptic times. They say that the seals of the four horses of the apocalypse have been released. Revelation 6 speaks of the Lamb of God opening seals that result in “a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow, and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer.” Then a red horse that took peace from the earth so that man would kill one another. A black horse was released that caused great inflation. Then a pale horse to kill with sword, hunger and “with death.” Today we are experiencing very similar things, but there is much more to come.

Christ, in response to his disciples asking him about the timing of the end of the world, said in Matthew 24:4, “Take heed that no man deceive you.” This is the first warning of Christ about the events that would happen just prior to his return. And let us remember, Christ is speaking in Jerusalem about future Jerusalem and Israel during the time of Jacob’s Troubles, what many commonly refer to as the tribulation. In verse 6, he says, “And you shall hear of wars and rumors of wars; see that you are not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.” He warns of nations and kingdoms rising against one another, famines, pestilences and earthquakes, “All these are the beginning of sorrows (v.8).”

Then Christ lists an extended chronology of the events prior to his return: false prophets, betrayals, persecutions for his name’s sake, the preaching of the gospel. Then he marks the beginning of even greater tribulation when the Abomination of Desolation occurs. This is when the Beast (antichrist) stops the sacrifices at the temple and magnifies “himself above every god, and shall speak marvelous things against the God of gods (Daniel 11:36).” The Lamb of God (Christ) is the one who opens the seal in heaven that releases this Beast (antichrist) on the white horse to conquer in Revelation 6. This Beast is the leader of the apocalyptic events that culminate in the return of Christ, the defeat of the Beast, the restoration of Israel, the cleansing of the earth, and the establishment of the millennial reign of Christ on earth.

According to prophecy, there are several milestones that must occur before the earth enters the time of Jacob’s Troubles. Among them are the Beast himself must rise to power and conquer—which is the releasing of the first seal by the Lamb of God (Christ), and the sacrifices in the Temple being ended by this Beast, who sets himself up as greater than God. There is not even a temple at this time. These things have not happened yet. There are many types and shadows in the world that are rising and falling from rumors of wars to wars to inflation to pestilences and famines. The world could very well be in the beginning of sorrows. As Christ advises, see that you are not troubled, but be aware and discerning, and ready to share the gospel to those who have no understanding of the times, and live in great fear.

Daily Devotion: How the Holy Spirit Helps Us - by Greg Laurie – www.harvest.org

But when the Father sends the Advocate as my representative—that is, the Holy Spirit—he will teach you everything and will remind you of everything I have told you. —John 14:26

https://harvest.org/resources/devotion/how-the-holy-spirit-helps-us/ - Listen

I can think of times when I was giving a message or talking with someone one on one and a Scripture passage came to mind. I didn’t remember memorizing that passage, but there it was. That is because the Holy Spirit teaches us.

Jesus said, “But when the Father sends the Advocate as my representative—that is, the Holy Spirit—he will teach you everything and will remind you of everything I have told you” (John 14:26 NLT).

The Holy Spirit not only teaches us but also assures us that we are children of God. Once the Holy Spirit has brought us to Jesus and sealed us, He reassures us that we belong to God. Romans 8:16 tells us, “The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God” (NKJV).

I know that I’m a child of God not because I deserve to be, but because Jesus Christ has forgiven me, and the Holy Spirit assures me of this. In fact, the Bible says, “These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life” (1 John 5:13 NKJV).

The Holy Spirit also helps us pray. (And we need help in our prayers, don’t we?) Romans 8:26 says, “And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don’t know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words” (nlt). The Holy Spirit knows what we need to pray for, and He will bring it to the Father.

Finally, the Holy Spirit leads us in life (see Romans 8:14), and sometimes, we’re not even aware that He is leading us. That is why every day, we should ask the Holy Spirit to fill us.
