More Tisha B’Av Rapture Thoughts - By Gary W. Ritter - https://www.raptureready.com/2022/08/23/more-tisha-bav-rapture-thoughts-by-gary-w-ritter/

The potential for the Rapture of the church to occur on the Jewish day of mourning known as Tisha B’Av, i.e., the 9th day of the month of Av, has become a topic of much interest lately among pre-Trib Rapture adherents. After reading a couple of well-written discussions on this subject, I figured I might as well accept the challenge and weigh in since I have a different perspective.

In his terrific article titled A Pattern with a Hole, Greg Lauer postulated that the destruction of Israel’s two prior temples indicates a pattern that may apply prophetically in the near term to the Rapture. His basic premise is that God brought about the demise of the First Temple at the hands of the Babylonians following Israel’s rebellion against God through widespread idolatry. In the case of the Second Temple, the Jews turned the Word of God into a legalistic religious observation and rejected their Messiah by crucifying Him. For this great sin of grieving the Holy Spirit, God enabled the Romans to destroy Herod’s temple and eventually allowed the nation of Israel to be lost completely.

The hole that Lauer sees is that the Jews have failed to repent of these past transgressions and have even become jealous of what God has accomplished through the Gentiles, despite in His Word saying He would raise them up in His Name. There is no existing physical temple, yet judgment is coming to Israel soon through the Great Tribulation. What is the temple that fills the void in the pattern? As Greg confirms, the bodies of Spirit-filled believers are the temple of the Holy Spirit. It’s not destruction of this temple, per se, but our Rapture that eliminates it from the earth and paves the way for Israel’s punishment.

Pete Garcia added his thoughts on this topic in an article titled Tish B’Av Rapture? He wisely consulted some discerning, theologically astute friends who commented on the notion. With those added inputs, Garcia diagramed what Lauer outlined and concluded that the strongest argument for a Tisha B’Av Rapture is the additional pattern of how the Holy Spirit fits into the scheme. Temple 1 is associated with the Father; Temple 2 is connected with Jesus the Son. What happens in the Rapture? The Holy Spirit steps aside in the earth through the removal of God’s true children. When we’re snatched away by Christ in the clouds, the Man of Lawlessness can be revealed, which will lead to terrible persecution of the Jews. Thus, believers with the indwelling Holy Spirit are effectively Temple 3 and the hole which is filled in this pattern. Father, Son, and Holy Spirit all play an integral part in this narrative.

The other aspect of much interest in this discussion is the dates on which the 9th of Av in the Jewish calendar fall on our Gregorian calendar. When Greg and Pete wrote their articles on August 6-7, 2022, this year’s candidate for the Rapture was still upcoming. Sadly, we’ve now gone past that date. The next three possible dates in this regard are:

  • July 26-27, 2023
  • August 12-13, 2024
  • August 2-3, 2025

Several months ago, I wrote my speculations on Tribulation timing being tied to Agenda 2030 and the Jewish Shemitah. Based on what I laid out, any of these upcoming dates could certainly be The One, i.e., the day of the Rapture. However, my thinking on our translation from this alien world pertains to the church as the Bride of Christ and how a Galilean wedding works to model that. I laid this out in another recent post that provides this summary of events based on the four steps involved in such a wedding:

  1. The father of the groom makes the arrangements.
  2. After a period of time, the groom fetches his bride under two conditions:
  3. The father determines the timing.
  4. The groom has prepared a place for himself and his bride at his father’s house.
  5. Prior to the wedding ceremony – to which few would be invited – the bride undergoes a ritual cleansing.
  6. The marriage feast occurs with many more people invited.

For our purposes, point #2 is critical. The father – God the Father in our case – is the One calling the shots. He has no obligation to correlate His telling the Son when to get His Bride with any Jewish feast or other ritual days. He might. He could. But there’s no direct tie-in with this scenario.

What about the pattern that Lauer so eloquently discussed? First, it’s a very cool theory. He might be right, and what I say next could absolutely be incorrect. As Pete says in his conclusion echoing Greg: We simply can’t know definitively. Thus, when I throw out my ideas, they’re as speculative as all the rest.

For this, we need to zero in on the Third Temple. We know for a fact that one will be built. Daniel 9:27 confirms this:

“And he shall make a strong covenant with many for one week, and for half of the week he shall put an end to sacrifice and offering. And on the wing of abominations shall come one who makes desolate, until the decreed end is poured out on the desolator.”

In order for “he,” i.e., Antichrist, to end sacrifice, there must be a temple in which to perform those oblations. This verse gives us some strong words: abominations and makes desolate. According to Strong’s Concordance, abominations is the Hebrew word shiqquts (#8251). It is a detested thing. The Hebrew for the term makes desolate in Strong’s is shamen (#8074). It generally means to be desolated or appalled.

The most common understanding of the abomination is that Antichrist, emulating Antiochus Epiphanes in the Maccabean period, will enter the temple and perhaps sacrifice a pig on the altar as he proclaims himself as god. From there, we have no further indication of what happens with the temple.

Discerning Jews flee just as Jesus warns them to do in Matthew 24:15-21. It is at this point that the Great Tribulation judgment comes upon Israel, and the temple is seemingly forgotten.

Here’s where I go out on the limb. Another meaning of the Hebrew shamen is to be made waste or ruined. What if… Antichrist destroys the temple after he’s made it an abomination? He knows the Jews will no longer use it, and he certainly has no reason to keep it around.

Just as with the First and Second Temples that are destroyed and mark the beginning of judgment, perhaps the Third Temple is likewise demolished. Its end serves the same purpose of demonstrating God’s wrath on Israel and the persecution of the Great Tribulation that comes next. The Holy Spirit remains present to rescue those who turn to Jesus in faith during these awful years. Thus, the pattern is completed, and the hole in it is filled.

In this circumstance, there’s no direct temple connection with the Rapture, which makes that event possible on any given day that the Father determines. The wedding symbology remains intact, and the 9th of Av is – on the surface in this case – another day of mourning.

One other point that Greg Lauer made was that the Rapture occurring on the coincident day of the other temples being destroyed, i.e., Tisha B’Av, awakens Israel to God’s spiritual hand upon them. I’m not so sure the Jews would make that connection. However, what we do know is that the Gog-Magog war of Ezekiel 38-39 surely wakes Israel to that fact. Scripture tells us that Israel is completely helpless in the face of that attack – rightly so in order for God to receive all the glory for the astounding, supernatural victory.

I think it’s this conflict that opens Israel’s spiritual eyes early in the Tribulation – perhaps as part of Seal Judgment #1. In fact, if the Bill Salus Alternative View is in play, the initial five Seals would be opened after the Rapture, but actually before the official beginning of the Tribulation through the confirmation of the Daniel 9:27 covenant agreement.

Whatever is the impetus behind the building of the Third Temple, because so many in Israel will be desirous of worshiping the God who rescued them from sure destruction, Ezekiel’s War appears to me to be the source of the Jews’ spiritual revival.

Thankfully, all this will be well in our rearview mirror as we enjoy the miracles of our glorified bodies and the consummation of our betrothal to our heavenly Bridegroom.

For those remaining on earth, they can only take hope in Jesus’ promise of Matthew 24:22:

“And if those days had not been cut short, no human being would be saved. But for the sake of the elect those days will be cut short.”

Our God is merciful. He has given us a way out – an early exit from the horror to come. What a joy it is to know the Lord Jesus and to place our faith and trust in Him!

Mideast Review: World Prepares To Unleash Iran – Amir Tsarfati - https://harbingersdaily.com/mideast-review-w-amir-tsarfati-world-prepares-to-unleash-iran/

Iran has placed themselves in the forefront of the news. They are on the threshold of a new nuclear deal which former Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told Fox News yesterday is far worse than the 2015 version. Europe is desperate for energy sources separate from Russia; thus they are ready to accept the demands of Iran. They don’t care if the country goes nuclear. The bombs likely won’t be coming their way. The US is ready to drop almost all sanctions, which will put billions of dollars into the pockets of the Islamist regime in Tehran. The Republican Party has already announced that it will immediately cancel any agreement with Iran if they get back in power after the November elections. It remains to be seen, however, if the votes go their way, and if they’ll have the follow-through to do it. Ultimately, it’s all moot anyway. As I’ve said for a long time, Iran already has everything they need to make a bomb. It’s just a matter of whether they decide to do it.

The expansion of Iranian-proxy militias around Israel is growing. In the north, they are in Lebanon and Syria. In the east, they are in Iraq and Iran. To the south, they are in Gaza and Yemen. Iran opposition groups are reporting that the country is establishing a new military base called Malek al-Ashtar in the Daraa Governorate of Syria much too close to the Israeli border. Now Iran has begun arming militant Palestinians in the West Bank. “In the same way that the Gaza Strip was armed, the West Bank can also be armed and this process is happening,” said chief commander of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Major General Hossein Salami. The only factor that is slowing this expansion is Israel’s constant strikes at the militias’ weapons and infrastructures.

Much of the weaponry with which Iran is arming their militias comes from their store of hundreds of thousands of rockets. Hezbollah and other proxy militias in Syria have over 150,000 rockets. Hamas in Gaza has 10,000. Yemen has tens of thousands. Many of these rockets are cheap and not very accurate, and the Iron Dome is equipped to deal with them. However, there are also thousands of ballistic missiles that are pointed at Israel. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) are nearing completion of a new laser system that will be able to deal with many of these threats. But even when this new system is ready, if all these militias begin raining down their rocket arsenals at once, it could be devastating to Israel.

As Iran continues to deepen relationships with its proxy terrorists, they also are getting closer to a much bigger fish. One of the biggest allies and customers of Iran is now Russia. Beyond Iran selling drones and training the Russian army in how to use them, new behind-the-scenes deals are being set up for Russian oil. Fully expecting sanctions on Tehran to be lifted with a new nuclear deal, Moscow is planning on using Iran to bust their own sanctions by selling Russian oil through Iranian channels. This is bad news for Ukraine. It is also bad news for Israel, as Russia is strengthening their rhetoric toward Israeli actions against their friend Iran’s proxy militias. Said Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, “We strongly condemned the dangerous practice of Israeli strikes on Syrian territory.”

The US carried out airstrikes against Iranian proxy militias in Deir ez-Zor, Syria, in response to a drone attack against American forces on August 15. “Today’s strikes were necessary to protect and defend U.S. personnel,” said spokesman Army Colonel Joe Buccino. Meanwhile, Iran continues to attack the US through its proxies, striking two American bases in Syria just yesterday. Just to make sure you understand – Iran is hitting the US through their proxies, while the US is striking back against those proxies while letting Iran completely off the hook. Unbelievable!

Syrian and Iranian forces and U.S. backed SDF battled each other up in the north of Syria resulting in a market being shelled in the city of Al-Bab. Civilian casualties included 14 dead, five of which were children, and at least 30 wounded.

Hezbollah continues to threaten violence against Israel if the Karish oil rig begins operation. This is a flashpoint that could escalate quickly.

Ukraine’s Independence Day yesterday also marked six months since Russia invaded the nation. The military and civilian casualties continue to mount as Vladimir Putin stubbornly continues his prosecution of the war. The current hot spot is Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant. Under Russian control from early in the war, Ukraine is fearful of battling to gain the plant back. An improperly aimed shell could have disastrous effects.

Darya Dugina was killed in a car bomb outside Moscow Saturday night. Her father, philosopher Aleksandr Dugin, a man known as “Putin’s brain”, was supposed to be in the car with her, before deciding to travel separately at the last moment. The woman the Russians say carried out the assassination is Natalya Vovk, a citizen of Ukraine and member of the Ukrainian special operations Azov Regiment. Currently, she is in Estonia, and Russia is threatening a military response if Estonia does not capture her and extradite her to Moscow. Some, however, are accusing Putin of carrying out this murder as a false flag against Ukraine after Dugin recently made some harsh remarks against the Russian president.

Even as Turkey’s inflation skyrocketed to 80%, it’s currency plunged on Friday to an all-time low. An economically desperate Turkey is a dangerous entity, and the world best keep its eyes on Erdogan and his government.

Each day in the waters and the air around Taiwan there are incursions by Chinese planes and warships. This is a powder keg that can go off at any moment.

Japan is weighing the wisdom of stockpiling 1000 cruise missiles within 1000 km of China and North Korea. This would place both belligerent countries within range of Japan’s arsenal in case of hostilities.

Terrorist militants with ties to al Qaeda took control of the Hayat Hotel in Mogadishu, Somalia, last Friday. By the time the 30-hour ordeal was over at least 21 people were dead and more than 117 were injured. Four of the assailants were killed. However, it is unclear if there were others who escaped.

Looking at the political realm in Israel (which is very similar to the one in the US), it’s easy to think that the majority isn’t being represented by the current government. However, as much as it may have been true at the time elections were held in both nations, a great and terrible erosion is taking place in the conservative camp in each country. While the liberal progressive left is holding its ground, it’s the conservative right that is experiencing progressive liberalism sprouting within its camp.

Why am I writing these words? Certainly not to make you feel sad or angry. But to make you open your eyes to the ever-changing world in which we live. The change is rapid and is not for good. The true believers will never “feel at home” again in this world. We are becoming strangers and vagabonds on this earth.

Can I find anything good in today’s world? Yes! Remember, it is often tribulations that purify us and make us zealous to carry out God’s will. But the best of all is the fact that the further we are estranged from this world the closer we are to the moment of the rapture! Indeed, let’s remember Jesus’ words and rejoice:

John 16:33 KJV – “These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.”

The "Great Reset": A Blueprint for Destroying Freedom, Innovation, and Prosperity - by J.B. Shurk – https://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/18825/great-reset-wef

How do nations become wealthy? Many are blessed with abundant natural resources. Others conquer foreign lands. Some specialize in unique trade skills and crafts. Timber, mining, fishing, sugar, rum, narcotics, cotton, silk, agriculture, conquest, human slavery, manufacturing, oil, industry, banking, and so on — depending on the century and the region, nations have attained tremendous wealth in myriad ways. Notice that no nation has managed merely to print money and tax its citizens on the path to prosperity. Real wealth cannot simply be conjured from thin air. There must be recognized value in what a nation and its citizens possess.

More than any other source for national wealth, however, one towers above the rest: innovation. The ability of the human mind to create something new and valuable provides society with endless wealth creation. Unlike central bank quantitative easing and other monetary tools (or tricks?), the brain really is a money-printing machine. Whether an innovator alters existing farming, mining, or manufacturing techniques to make production cheaper and more efficient, or an inventor designs something entirely unique, value that did not exist yesterday materializes the next. Innovation is the magic sauce for generating wealth.

If innovation produces wealth, why aren't all nations wealthy? Because too many nations fail to value innovators or encourage innovation. Without fundamental property rights, strong social institutions, and a dependable legal system, potential inventors have few incentives to build anything new. Humans struggling merely to survive in the world do not waste time, labor, or resources on projects that offer no prospect for future reward. Humans working as servants to the state under centrally controlled economies have no incentive to innovate. Only when private ownership and personal liberty combine can human innovation flourish. Freedom is the secret ingredient to innovation's magic sauce for increasing wealth.

When economists crunch gross domestic product numbers to see whether a nation's economy is rising or sinking, a measure of innovation becomes quantifiable. Embedded within that number is something that encapsulates human ingenuity, personal freedom, and property ownership. In this way, economic innovation directly reflects the human condition at any point in time. It provides a measurement of a nation's freedom.

Now "liberalism" as it is classically understood — as a political philosophy embracing natural rights, limited government, free markets, political and religious freedoms, and freedom of speech, all promoted and protected by an impartial and just rule of law — has always grasped this fundamental truth. Liberty and property rights spawn creativity. Where both are soundly valued, great writers, artists, and inventors produce novelties that would not otherwise exist. It is why medieval Florence birthed at once both modern-day banking and the European Renaissance. The personal freedom to create, build, invest, and own property generates tremendous innovation and national wealth.

Conversely, when today's central planners argue for socialized control over markets and the substitution of "collective rights" in place of "individual rights" while calling their agenda "progressive liberalism," they co-opt and subvert liberalism's historic meaning.

From this recognition that a nation's freedom directly affects a nation's wealth arises an even more remarkable truth: any nation that fails to embrace and protect human liberty will be the poorer for it. A country whose institutions do not respect property rights or whose customs do not value freedom will remain a barren desert for human innovation. In this way, nations have a great incentive to liberalize over time. Should they not, they quickly become financially and militarily vulnerable to more innovative and wealthier nations. Observing this simple truth, classical liberals have always understood free markets as the gateway to human emancipation. Economic self-interest, in other words, ultimately leads to expansive human rights and liberties across the planet.

Now with all that as a bit of rudimentary background, how is it that today we have entities such as the World Economic Forum (WEF) pushing for a radical "Great Reset" of Western society that promises to handcuff free markets with economic regulation while concentrating power into the hands of a small international coalition of central economic planners — most notably their own? How could promising a future where people will "own nothing and be happy" possibly be conducive to a free and productive society — or even a happy one? How can a future in which all energy is controlled by international governing bodies and multinational corporations possibly provide individuals with the institutional building blocks for endless innovation? How can farmers sustain larger and more prosperous populations when Western governments continue to stifle agricultural production through regulation and eminent domain?

The questions answer themselves. The WEF's agenda promotes radically anti-liberal programs such as the use of artificial intelligence to censor dissent, regulate free speech, and even erase ideas from the Internet. Its repressive efforts to control all hydrocarbon energy and cattle and crop farm production will smother human innovation by first depriving Westerners of their ability to create, invent, and grow food. Its policies betray millennia of Western civilizational advancement by replacing respect for individual choice and free will with top-down management of human activity through the blunt instruments of force and coercion. Its motivations are indisputably anti-human at their core because each individual human life is treated as nothing more than a cog or input that can be manipulated as part of a centrally-controlled social machine. When Westerners are reduced to ones and zeroes that are sorted and shifted by the WEF's social programming codes for a "better future," builders obey but no longer create.

Whereas personal liberty has unleashed the human mind and generated tremendous Western prosperity, the World Economic Forum's push for a centrally controlled economic system will crush rights, stifle creativity, and mass-produce poverty and servitude. Its proponents, in fact, seem mostly committed to using a combination of pandemic, famine, and fear to centralize dominance for themselves.

In order to persuade Westerners to give up more and make do with less, the WEF and its globalist allies promise Westerners a future Utopia. As with every similar lie ever told to justify the extraordinary acquisition of power, though, they will fail to deliver. No society, after all, was ever promised more than in Stalin's 1936 Constitution of the USSR — or subsequently treated more abysmally. Despite its claims to the contrary, the WEF's mission directives intentionally reverse Western trends toward greater human freedom, social mobility, and more broadly obtainable wealth — or what, in another era, would have been rightly regarded as true, liberal progress.

Although the WEF and its sister organizations claim to be "saving the planet," their efforts seem primarily an ignoble design to control the planet. "Clean" energy, after all, is controlled energy; and the more that energy is controlled by centralized governments, the more completely once-free markets become centrally controlled. If every potential entrepreneur must first receive permission to use electricity before producing anything new, then no entrepreneur can thrive without the central authorities' blessing. If all manufacturing is viewed as a "threat to the planet," then no independent upstart can innovate or build wealth without first seeking and obtaining government approval. If consumers are forbidden from buying anything unless it is first pre-approved, then free markets are transformed into controlled markets.

Taking this trend to its logical yet communist conclusion, private property becomes antithetical to the state's goals. We already see the ominous subversion of private ownership today with so-called ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) standards used to strong-arm industry goals and manipulate free markets. Because control over information makes control over markets more manageable, the more economic uncertainty that results from market manipulation, the more censorship we'll continue to see. Recently, even a senior economist who correctly stated that the American economy had entered into a recession found his research "fact checked" and "corrected" by the U.S. government's friends at Facebook. Where free markets are under attack, free speech is inevitably under attack, too. The individual blessings of liberalism are not easily dissected from the body politic without inevitably rendering liberalism's death, as a whole.

The issue today may be "climate change" or COVID-19 or "sustainable food supplies," but the stated issue never seems anything more than a public relations campaign for fooling the masses. It always appears to be merely a disposable excuse designed to seduce Westerners into handing a small cabal of "elites" power and control over everyone else. Convincing mankind to believe that free markets will inevitably lead to some kind of apocalypse increasingly looks like the only policy goal that matters. It may well be the most diabolical trick those with power have ever played against those with no power at all. Fear is used expertly as a torturer's tool to convince Westerners to forsake willingly their own freedom. The innocent mantra whispered into their ears is simple: Trust us, humanity, we will save you. The implication, however, is far more sinister: For your own good, you must be made to enjoy your new chains.

Notice that for the World Economic Forum to succeed in its mission to control all human activity, it must first destroy the sovereignty of nation states. Why? Because, as noted above, liberal nations that embrace freedom of speech, freedom of thought, and free market entrepreneurship foster innovation and great wealth. Any nation not encumbered by the WEF's market proscriptions will most likely continue to prosper, while those shackled to the "Great Reset" will most likely languish. This is why Western politicians have worked so hard together to push their "Build Back Better" proposals irrespective of the wishes of any one nation's voting citizens.

Wealthy free nations are a threat to the WEF's New World Order. If censorship must be embraced to control the "narrative," then so be it. If citizens must be denied freedom of movement under the guise of a "health emergency," no big deal. If private bank accounts must be seized to intimidate protesters, then such threats are the price for ensuring compliance. In this way, the WEF's plans for a controlled economy intentionally reverse centuries of liberal progress. Political leaders today are dragging the West into the past.

First, individual liberties will continue disappearing. Then, the greatest economic engine of all, innovation, will dry up. Finally, wealth will return solely to the hands of a small "ruling class" minority. This is the future the World Economic Forum hails as "progress." It is not. It is a recipe for human bondage.

What If the Rapture Doesn't Happen Soon? - by Bill Perkins - https://compass.org/what-if-the-rapture-doesnt-happen-soon/

PTL! We had an outstanding trip to Europe to watch the every-ten-year Oberammergau Passion Play. The five-hour play, using only unpaid local cast members, was excellent in every way. The music was as impacting as Phantom of the Opera's! And it was an incredible privilege to travel with such an amazing group of people!

We also were able to spread the Word about the coming Rapture of the Church in Munich and nearby cities in Germany, plus in Vienna, Austria, Budapest, Hungary, and Bratislava, Slovakia.

May the Lord use our effort to reach these people before or after the Rapture!

While we were gone, a lot has happened. Our biggest concern upon returning was that VIMEO, our paid video supplier for our free Compass TV videos, terminated our platform without explanation.

Well, their official explanation was that we violated some vague language in their rules but they would not give us any specific examples. Those who pull the strings are still doing everything they can to shut out any truth proclaimed on the Internet. We're now busy reloading some 300 Steeling the Mind Conference videos on Rumble to link to our compass.org website.

So, trying to be smart how we do the eNews, we're not publishing ANYTHING on our Constant Contact platform. We’ll just send a notice with a link to the latest eNews on our website. I THINK that will suffice for now. Everyone will just read the eNews on Compass.org instead of clicking links in an email. This is our first try so there may be some glitches!

Trust me, it’s a big chore for us to put the eNews directly on our website. It’s like learning a new language. In my jet-lag brain-fog the first eNews I created was mostly finished before I discovered that, unlike Constant Contact, it doesn’t auto-save anything. Poof, gone forever. Had to start again from scratch. 🙁

Boy, the point was driven home, like my first eNews draft, you’re either saved or not—it doesn't matter if I did a good job or not, if I don't save it, it's gone forever, no hope of recovery.

Anyone with 1/2 a brain cell understands that eternity is a long time and it's eternally important whether you're saved, going to heaven, not hell. Most people reading this get that.

But interestingly we've now got the whole world scared of dying. People wear masks, get va((ines, stand six feet apart, even divide families over their va((ine status. Yet they don't pursue Biblical salvation.

They have no clue that the eternal life they seek, having the credentials to go to heaven when this life ends, have already been freely provided. Instead, they're concentrating on this life, not the next.

Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on earth. Col. 3:2

Our goal in life is not to survive as long as possible in fear of death. Rather, it’s to serve the Lord by being used in the lives of those around us, knowing that our days have already been numbered.

When given the chance to witness in Europe for the last three weeks, the usual response was a blank stare. They couldn’t connect the dots. God did give us some incredible spiritually hungry people to talk to, but mostly we were content to plant seeds for the future and pray God will water the effort.

I planted, Apollos watered, but God was causing the growth. 1Cor. 3:6

Understandably, even post-Rapture salvation in the long-run is what counts in the end. The only thing that really matters in this life is who goes to heaven and who goes to hell. Everything else pales in comparison.

Everyone will stand before a righteous God who judges on truth, not lies. I wish those people at VIMEO the best when they stand before a righteous God. Same for Fauxi, Clinton, Hunter, Soros, etc.

Another thing that’s really interesting that began happening while we were gone is the change in the government’s Covid narrative. Think about it, don’t you think it’s strange that at the same time Fauxi announces his resignation the CDC wants to overhaul/restructure the department due to its “inadequate response to Covid?”(1)

Maybe the proverbial poop is about to hit the fan. It’s possible that all the data that the CDC has been admittedly hiding(2) can’t be hidden much longer. Back in February 2022 the CDC admitted they were not releasing all they knew about the va((ines because “the public might misinterpret the info.” Hmmm….

Let’s see, we know people are dying from the va((ine, both short and long term, from a plethora of health reasons. The CDC has gone from "A pandemic of the unva((inated" to now saying natural immunity is the same or better than the shots.(3)

They’re now having to come clean and admit the gene therapies wane after a few weeks and that masks don’t work. It seems that their whole purpose of pushing the va((ines has collapsed.

So is Fauxi the fall guy? Or is it something deeper? I must say it gives us great hope that if the Rapture doesn’t happen by October, there is the possibility of flipping the House and/or the Senate. Is this what they’re positioning for? Is all this change just to cover their butts?

If that’s the case, the Satanists/Globalists apparently are content to set into motion as much death and destruction in the world as possible in their two years of having free reign to do as they wish.

But let’s face the facts, the Rapture is set up nicely for this fall. As prophesied, the whole world is being drugged (Rev 18:23), a huge Middle East war could start at any time (Ezek. 38/39), massive food shortages/starvation is in place (Rev. 6:8), and the Mark of the Beast is being promoted(4). So it’s not a stretch to see how billions of people could die in the next few years.

The Globalists/Satanists control the media, banking, higher learning, most of the large companies in the world and all world governments. The Globalists/Satanists are poised to immediately take over a starving and thirsty world.

On the other hand, if the Rapture happens soon, and it certainly may, all of your and my personal problems will be immediately solved. There are many who are saying it WILL happen...but no one knows for sure.

So if the Rapture doesn't happen this year, don’t be disappointed! We’ll just rest in the fact that God’s timetable has given us more opportunities to reach our family, friends and coworkers with the simple truth that God’s wrath is at the world’s doorstep.

God will want to use us to tell people that you can escape from His coming horrific wrath by receiving eternal salvation—which is free—if you simply BELIEVE the gospel.

“For this is the will of My Father, that everyone who beholds [acknowledges] the Son and believes in Him will have eternal life...” John 6:40a

For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, Rom. 1:16

So while we wait on His rescue, use the time to plant Gospel seeds with the lost when God opens a door.

...and to await for His Son from heaven, whom He raised from the dead, that is Jesus, who rescues us from the wrath to come. 1Th. 1:10

He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but according to His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out upon us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that being justified by His grace we would be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life. Titus 3:5-7

Daily Jot: The Farm Chronicles: A baking lesson – Bill Wilson – www.dailyjot.com

My mother’s pies and cakes were something of a farm boy’s dessert fantasy. That buttery crust. Those taste-explosive cherries, apples, peaches—I can remember them all as if I were sitting under the shade of the old oak tree next to the house, gazing over the pastureland with the cows grazing and the horses standing nose to tail swatting each others’ flies under the blue skies, savoring that last bite of pie. Really, even as a scrawny little boy that preferred to eat nothing but hamburgers, I could put away one of my mother’s fruit pies in one sitting. Nothing like riding the bike up the driveway and catching a whiff of that wonderful pie-out-of-the-oven smell drifting in the breeze from the kitchen window. But it wasn’t always that way.

When Mom and Dad married, she didn’t have any idea what she was getting into. Dad’s mother was killed in a car accident when he was ten. He and my grandfather had lived at the farm as bachelors since that time. Mom’s description of the place when she told the story of coming “home” after she and Dad eloped—she was 17 and he was 23—even after nearly 50 years of marriage, was quite vivid. The floors were unkept, there were empty tin cans mixed in among the clothes that were laying around the old house. Trash was just thrown outside the window. She was aghast. My mother was a neatnik to the extreme, so she set her mind on making that 130-year-old farm house her HOME. And that she did, quickly erasing some 13 years without the presence of a homemaker amidst two farmers lacking any home-economic skills.

As one of her first acts as a good wife and homemaker, my mother baked my dad a surprise apple pie. It was his favorite. She meticulously prepared the apples and rolled the crust. She spent hours preparing this pie, putting the crust on top and making sure that the dough was crimped just right along the edges. She perforated the crust with a beautiful pattern and set it in the oven. When the pie came out, it was absolutely picture perfect. That night at dinner, Dad’s eye looked past the plate before him as he sized up that perfect looking apple pie made by his perfect bride. Soon dinner was finished and the time had come for the pie. Dad patiently waited for Mom to dish out the first piece. Then he dug in. And just when the tender fruit and lightly browned crust hit his taste buds, he spit out the first bite, nearly choking from the taste.

Mom’s countenance sank. She put all her heart into that pie and Dad spit it out like a bitter poison. Mortified, Mom took a fork and grabbed up a bite. She, too, had to spit it out. Now, Dad’s old coon hound Jack would eat anything. They dumped that pie into Jack’s bowl and he just sniffed it and walked away. Not even Jack. You see, unbeknownst to Mom, Grandpa or Dad had carelessly filled the sugar container with salt. As is written in Proverbs 17:1, “Better a dry crust eaten in peace than a house filled with feasting and conflict.” Here is a case where the salty crust that not even the dog would eat, brought embarrassment first, then a house filled with laughter as the story of Mom’s baking lesson was repeated even to this day. But she never repeated using salt for sugar.

Daily Devotion: Removing the Sting - by Greg Laurie – www.harvest.org

O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting? —1 Corinthians 15:55

https://harvest.org/resources/devotion/removing-the-sting-2/ - Listen

Have you ever been stung by a bee? It’s not a fun experience. But although it’s painful for the person being stung, it’s fatal for the bee.

When a honeybee stings a person, it can’t pull its little barbed stinger back out. This is a one-time experience for them. They had better think carefully about who they are going to sting, because once they do it, they are not going to survive.

When a bee stings you, not only is the bee’s stinger left in you but also part of its abdomen and digestive tract, as well as nerves and muscles. This massive abdominal rupture kills the bee shortly after it stings.

That is what happened when Jesus died on the cross. In his enduring hatred for God’s Son, Satan thought it would be a great idea to have Jesus betrayed, arrested, beaten within an inch of His life, and then crucified and put to death on a Roman cross. The devil said, “This is my moment. I am going to sting Him. I will have a role in His death. When He dies, that is the end of Him.” Everything went according to Satan’s plan, and like a bee, he flew off thinking he had succeeded.

But everything went according to God’s plan as well, and the sting of death was its own defeat. As 1 Corinthians 15:54–55 says, “Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?”

Where is the sting of death for the believer? It is ripped out, because at the cross, Jesus took the stinger out of death. This is a great truth. As Christians, we no longer need to fear death because our souls will live on forever with Christ.

PROPHECY UPDATE...............8/30/2022

Embrace the Suck – Pete Garcia - https://www.rev310.net/post/embrace-the-suck

“Therefore if they say to you, ‘Look, He is in the desert!’ do not go out; or ‘Look, He is in the inner rooms!’ do not believe it. For as the lightning comes from the east and flashes to the west, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. Matthew 24:26-27

Years ago, I was selected by my ROTC cadre to attend the Army’s hardest and (at 11 days) shortest badge course called Air Assault School. While this school is offered at several locations across the United States, I was particularly drawn to this one in the summer of 2000, because it was being held at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii.

The first day of our glorious initiation into the elite ranks of an Air Assault soldier was Day Zero (or Zero Day as we called it). It was here, after an exhaustive inspection process, that the instructors drove us to the mountainous jungle portion of Oahu, and then marched us out into a large field of knee-deep mud and proceeded to smoke us with exercises zealously until everyone reached muscle fatigue. It was only after this that we were allowed to complete the massive obstacle course that was either pass or fail (for which many failed and went home).

Admittedly, I was somewhat naive about going to Hawaii. I was expecting my barracks room to overlook the magnificent Pacific Ocean. Instead, we slept out in tents on a dusty field the whole time next to a Chinook helicopter unit (CH-47s) who were constantly coming and going, blowing dust on us and everything we had. When we weren't taking dust baths, we were getting rained on while on of our four mandatory road marches (4, 6, 8, and 12 miles every other day) up and down the steep hills and ravines of the Mililani Mauka-Launani Valley in the East Range portion of Oahu. I even remember one of the hills (called Ivan) because you could literally reach out and touch the road in front of you while standing. But it was also during this time that I first learned the somewhat crude phrase, “embrace the suck.”

Definition: “Embrace the suck” is military slang for one to willingly accept the suffering, hardships, and inevitable difficulties in order to make the best of the situation. It’s very much the mindset encouraged in order to make it through things like Ranger School, Special Forces Assessment, BUD/SEAL school, and other rigorous military schools designed to break you.

Truth be told, I did numerous stints of "hard time" over the next two decades of service, as many of my brothers-at-arms would also attest to, but I never forgot those illustrative eleven days in Hawaii. That school set a foundation of sorts for where my thresholds would be in future periods of physical and mental discomfort. IOW, Air Assault school became sort of the benchmark for me of what I could take and not take.

Having led with that, this will probably be my least popular article ever, but I think it’s vital to our understanding as watching community, in maintaining healthy expectations as we move forward in these final moments of human history.

We need to be prepared to be here longer than we expect, should the Lord tarry. This means we need to mentally and spiritually, gird up our loins, and prepare ourselves for the potentially tough times ahead.

I'm not saying there will be tough times, I'm just saying, we need to prepare ourselves in case there are. I mean, things are already tough for many of you, so I'm probably preaching to the choir at this point. However, we all want to get out of here (so do I). But what if all of our prognostications are off by a few years? What if there is something in this grand prophetic picture we aren't seeing, or can't see? Don't misunderstand me...we are in the season. We just can't say with specificity how long that season is.

I know we all want to go up. I know we all feel like there isn’t a problem so big in our lives that the Rapture couldn’t fix it. I know we are all vexed living in a world that is increasingly being given over to the spirit of Antichrist. Trust me, I know. I would like to have been raptured yesterday, but the fact of the matter is, today came, and we have to deal with what’s on the plate in front of us now and potentially tomorrow.

The reason I am writing this is that I would be remiss if I didn't. What if I just kept telling you week after week..."soon, maybe next week" "maybe next month" or "maybe this coming Pentecost" etc., etc. Take my writing ministry as an example. If I were an unscrupulous prophecy teacher over the years (and you know many of whom I speak) my audience would have been subjected to that continuous 11-year emotional and spiritual roller coaster ride of build-ups and let-downs. A roller coaster ride where the rises (hypes) and falls (let downs) are so steep, you want to lose your lunch. The breakneck twists and turns are so sudden, that they give you whiplash. In fact, that ride is so unpleasant, that it would rival that old wooden rollercoaster (Texas Giant) at Six Flags over Texas (trust me, you take a beating on this one).

I mean, if I only continually worked my audience up into a frenzy year after year watching for this feast or that feast, this astronomical alignment, or that one, or some geopolitical or technological development to occur, and we are still here 11 years later, I would have had one emotionally-abused audience.

That's why I've always tried to maintain an even keel approach to the nearness of our Lord's return. That's why in 2009 when reading Don Koenig's article likening the mid to late 2020s and early 2030s as the likely season of the Second Coming, I grumbled and became discouraged. But even in that discouragement, the Spirit confirmed in my spirit, that he was on to something. Trust me, I wanted it to be in 2009. Nevertheless, here we are in 2022. Think of how many people came to know the Lord as Savior during that time. Think of how you have grown in that time.

However...

Make no mistake about it, we are in the season of His return. Satan and his Luciferian forces are hype focused on the year 2030 for some reason. That should tell us something.

I've written things in the past things such as Running out of Normal which speaks to the increasingly abnormal times we live in, and how the "new normal" threatens to push us past the normalcy threshold of Luke 17:26-30. I've written about how if we push past all the Prophetic Redlines, we will soon find ourselves outpacing the technological capabilities listed in Revelation. I've written about how Bible things follow Type and Shadow, and patterns, and if we push too far past our present time, we will be floating out in the ether without anything to reference back to. I've even written about how if the Rapture happened on Tish B'Av, it would certainly get the observant Jews' attention.

The point is we don't know definitively when the Rapture will be. Now, we can certainly see things lining up for the 70th Week of Daniel. We can see the technological advancements arriving in our day that will be used by the coming Beast kingdom. We can see the world racing ahead to create the political necessity for the Beast kingdom. We can see the formation of that final global religion. We can see Gog and Magog lining up geopolitically. We can see the decline of the Church in most of the world. We can see all of the signs that the prophets, apostles, and Jesus pointed to as indicators of the last days. So we know we are close...but just how close, well, again, we can't know.

I’m not saying that the Rapture is years off and that we have another decade (or more) left before the Lord returns. The world (under the control of Satan) seems hell-bent (literally) to get something done before 2030. In fact, 193 nations signed the UN Agenda 2030 back on September 25, 2015. Had the Covid lockdowns not happened in 2020-21, I would be far more skeptical than I am now that it could happen by then. But 2020 just showed you (and them) how quickly they can grab power when they need to. And like moths to a flame and sharks to blood, these global elitists can't help themselves when it comes to grabbing power.

Conclusion

“But take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness, and care of this life, and that Day come on you unexpectedly. For it will come as a snare on all those who dwell on the face of the whole earth. Watch, therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man.” Luke 21:34-36

Back to the title. When I say “embrace the suck”, I am not saying you should embrace the world. We are to be in the world, but not of it. I'm not even saying to embrace your situation as if it were fated and can't be improved upon. We can all see the world has become increasingly perilous and wicked, and living in these final moments is proving to be far more Rated-R than Rated-PG.

Now, this doesn't apply to everyone. If I've got my finger pointing at anyone, just remember, I've got three fingers pointing back at myself. Here is what I am saying; instead of complaining about the way things are, you embrace the fact that God chose you to live in this time and place. Embrace the gifts and callings He has purposed you with and use them for His glory. Embrace the role he has called you to be in your circle(s) of influence. Embrace the fact that He has chosen you to live at the end of human history for His own divine purposes (Eph 1:3-6). I mean, out of all the generations you could have been born in, He chose you and me to live in the final one. Think about how awesome and special that is in light of all that is happening now. We are in the end game. Most of the churches and all of the world are dead asleep to what is coming. If there ever was a time to be a watchman, it is now.

There are some notable benefits to embracing this mindset:

  1. It helps you accept your circumstances for what they are, especially if they are less than ideal.
  2. It keeps you grounded and not chasing after what the world says you have to do.
  3. It helps you lead a more disciplined life because you know it will not last long.
  4. It helps you to become more resilient and adaptable in knowing that others have either gone before us in these same trials and tribulations, and we can learn from them how to push through it
  5. It helps develop an attitude of continuing forward and never giving up.

Yes, this fallen, broken world sucks. It sucks to see innocent people get killed while the wicked walk away scot-free. It sucks that unborn babies are sacrificed on the altar of convenience by the millions. It sucks that Sodom and Gomorrah are becoming the new normal. It sucks to see the wicked prosper and thrive, while the hardworking, honest folk are getting trampled under. But this seeming advantage the wicked have is momentary and fleeting. The storm is coming and they will not escape it.

In closing, keep your feet firmly planted on the ground, but continue to set your affections on the heavenly things. Let that affection graduate into an obsession, not to daydream, but to motivate you toward good works and the sharing of the eternal gospel of Jesus Christ. When you move, move out in power and glory and be the salt and light God has called you to be in these final moments of human history. You and I are not going to get a second chance at this, be bold. Be courageous. See also James 2, Titus 2-3, Eph. 2, 4, 1 John 1-2 for motivation if you need it!

When these little storms and tribulations come, lean into it and embrace the suck. Yes, things are tough now, but this life is quickly, quickly, quickly drawing to a close. Don't sweat what people think or say about you. You and I have the truth in God's word. A truth that is more certain, than the rising of the sun tomorrow. And keep watching, because Jesus said when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads because your redemption draws nigh. (Luke 21:28)

Hezbollah’s September Deadline Could Lead To War With Israel – Eval Zisser - https://www.prophecynewswatch.com/article.cfm?recent_news_id=5553

Although most Israelis fear Sept. 1 may bring with it a teachers' strike, there is another reason we should be concerned: A possible war on Israel's northern border in the wake of the most severe threats since 2006.

The very fact that Hezbollah Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah has emerged from the bunker where he has been hiding most of the past 16 years suggests that the effect of the crushing blow he was dealt in the 2006 Second Lebanon War has somewhat faded. Nasrallah's swagger means he is convinced that the next flare-up with Israel will be very different from the one that saw him run into hiding in 2006.

Nasrallah is not the adventurous or gambling type. His many years at the helm have taught him how to spout lofty rhetoric while adopting a cautious posture. He is not going to suddenly launch a surprise missile barrage on Tel Aviv. On the other hand, he is apparently willing to play with fire, convinced he can control the blaze.

The threats he has been sounding are very clear: If Israel goes ahead with its plan to extract gas from the Karish field in the Mediterranean Sea without resolving its border dispute with Lebanon, the Shi'ite terrorist group will act to stop it, even if this means a full-scale conflagration.

To show just how serious he is, Nasrallah has sent drones towards the Karish floating production storage and offloading vessel (FPSO), and may very well do so again, or perhaps even escalate things by firing rockets in its general direction.

This poses a direct threat to Israel's sovereignty and strategic assets. It could entail much greater consequences than just breaching the land border or targeting soldiers on it, which usually leads to rather limited hostilities that Israel chooses to contain.

Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz recently warned that Israel would retaliate for any provocation, and is ready for any campaign in Lebanon should the need arise.

Senior Israeli officials have assessed that things could evolve into "multi-day" fighting, which is another way of saying a major confrontation along the border. But if this is the conventional wisdom, it suggests Israeli policymakers have yet to learn the lessons of 2006. "Days of fighting" ultimately morph into war, something for which Israel is ill-prepared.

Those who envision a multi-day offensive that would have Nasrallah fire missile barrages at Israeli cities and strategic assets while Israel responds by just destroying a few weapon depots or assassinating a few officials are kidding themselves.

In 2006, Israel showed mercy toward Lebanon, but this policy did not stand the test of time, because Lebanon and Hezbollah are one and the same. Israel failed to realize that by targeting the Lebanese state it would have been able to hurt the Shi'ite terrorist group.

Nevertheless, the Israeli aerial onslaught on Hezbollah's Dahiya stronghold in Beirut--despite its disorderly approach--did have an impact.

If Nasrallah wants war, Israel should prepare to go all in. But if Israel's threats as to the catastrophic impact on Lebanon do not materialize once the war breaks out, Nasrallah will interpret it as yet another "divine victory," laying the groundwork for yet another flare-up down the road.

Baal Worship Resurrected? Massive Celebration Of Globalism Shows Satanists Are No Longer Hiding In The Shadows – Jan Markell - https://harbingersdaily.com/baal-worship-resurrected-massive-celebration-of-globalism-shows-satanists-are-no-longer-hiding-in-the-shadows/

I often write articles titled “I Never Thought I Would See the Day!” Well, the resurrection of ancient Baal, along with literal Baal worship, was a scene you had to see to believe.

Blatant Baal Worship

They aren’t even trying to hide it anymore. During the opening ceremony of the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, England on July 28th, a giant mechanical bull with glowing red eyes, was rolled out into the center of Alexander Stadium. A total of 72 nations participate in the Commonwealth Games, and so this opening ceremony was being viewed on countless television screens all over the planet.

The “hero” of the opening ceremony, a character known as Stella, calmed the creature down and then all of the human performers gathered around the giant bull and literally began to bow down and worship it.

WATCH VIDEO: https://youtu.be/saGEY6WIy6g

Fooling the Masses!

The symbolism in this “ritual” was well planned in advance, and the organizers knew exactly what they were doing. But, they were also counting on the fact that the vast majority of the general population would not consciously catch on to what was actually taking place.

The bull has always been a symbol of an ancient deity from the Middle East known as “Baal”. In artistic depictions and archeological finds, Baal took the shape of a bull or ram and had associations with fertility.

In this presentation, the arena was staged with what looked like a ring of lava around the arena, and smoke and fire bellowed from the bull. It is clear that Satanists are no longer hiding in the shadows, but openly giving homage to Satan in rituals on national TV for an international audience.

Black Sabbath Performs: Could it Be Any Clearer?

It was being reported that music from Black Sabbath was being played as the colossal beast was being brought out. It would have been bad enough if they would have stopped there, but all of the human performers gathered around the bull and literally start bowing down to it.

A Woman Rides the Beast

After the bull is calmed down, at one point three women are lifted up to ride on top of the bull. Was this symbolic of the words in Revelation 17?

Revelation 17:3-6 KJV – “So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns. And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication: And upon her forehead was a name written, Mystery, Babylon The Great, The Mother Of Harlots And Abominations Of The Earth. And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.”

A Spectacle Loved by the Global Elite!

The elite love to use opening ceremonies, awards shows and other public spectacles to mentally and emotionally condition us. And when they pull stunts like this, they know that only a very small fraction of the general population will ever object. And very few will understand the deeper meaning at play here either!

There is also a Tower of Babel on the premises. Nimrod is a type of the Antichrist, so it is clear that this entire ritual was demonic. And Prince Charles was an honorary attendee of the event. Ultimately, it was a massive celebration of globalism.

In my opinion, this is one of the most prominent signs of the times here in 2022. Surely, evil is waxing worse and worse (2 Timothy 3:13) and the participants in this ritual are calling evil good (Isaiah 5:20). The time of celebration around this bull had to be similar to the children of Israel worshipping a golden calf.

You have to see this one to believe it, and even then, it will take some time to process all the ramifications of what appears to be deifying Baal in the summer of 2022!

Is Someone Trying To Tell Us Something? We Are Being Hit By Unprecedented Drought And Unprecedented Flooding At The Same Time - by Michael Snyder - http://endoftheamericandream.com/is-someone-trying-to-tell-us-something-we-are-being-hit-by-unprecedented-drought-and-unprecedented-flooding-at-the-same-time/

We have never seen anything like this before. There are some parts of the globe that are being absolutely devastated by endless drought, and there are other parts of the globe that are being absolutely devastated by relentless flooding. So if you happen to live some place where weather patterns are still behaving normally, you should consider yourself to be incredibly blessed. In all my years, I have never seen extreme conditions in so many areas of the world simultaneously. This is a major red flag, but unfortunately the vast majority of the general population is still not paying attention.

Over the past few months, I have written article after article about the droughts that we are currently witnessing all over the planet.

Right now, Europe is experiencing the worst drought that it has gone through in at least 500 years, and the rivers are getting so low that “hunger stones” are now being revealed for the first time in centuries…

On this front, too, Europe’s rivers are turning up bleak omens — the receding waters in parts of central Europe have revealed old “hunger stones,” markers placed along riverbeds that locals centuries prior left as guides to earlier droughts. One stone that emerged out of the Elbe read: “When this goes under, life will become more colorful again.”

Here in the United States, the western half of the nation is suffering through the worst multi-year megadrought that the region has experienced in 1,200 years, and this is causing all sorts of very serious problems…

Nearly three-quarters of California is in either extreme or exceptional drought, considered worse than severe, according to the U.S. Drought Monitor. It’s so bad that scientists say the ongoing drought in the western United States marks the region’s driest 22-year stretch in more than 1,200 years.

The conditions have affected a broad swath of regions and industries. California wells are going dry. Farmers are either paying a premium for water or letting their fields sit empty. And there is growing concern that water exports from the Colorado River could come to a halt.

Not to be outdone, China is currently being hit by the worst drought that it has seen in all of recorded history…

China is in the grips of its worst drought on record, which has dried up parts of the Yangtze River and impacted swaths of the country’s industrial sector.

If you have read my previous articles, then you already know about those droughts.

But did you know that at the same time we are also witnessing some of the worst flooding in modern history?

In Pakistan, it has been raining and raining and raining…

“Much of central and northern Pakistan has had 200-600% of normal rainfall with over 1,000% of normal rainfall in southern Pakistan,” Nicholls said, adding that wet weather is common in a La Niña pattern. “Karachi, Pakistan, had 1,397% of normal rainfall in July, or 9.78 inches (248 mm) of rain versus a normal rainfall of 0.70 of an inch (18 mm). For the season, rainfall has been 1,001% of normal in Karachi.”

All of that rainfall has caused a flooding disaster in the country that is absolutely unprecedented.

In fact, it is being reported that “entire villages” have been completely wiped off the map…

Pakistan’s foreign minister said the calamitous floods gripping the country are ‘a catastrophe on a scale that I have never seen’ as the death toll soared above 1,000 and an area the size of Britain faced going underwater.

Tens of millions of Pakistanis have been forced to flee their homes as entire villages have vanished, with dramatic footage capturing hotel collapses, helicopter rescues and narrow escapes.

I am sitting here trying to picture such a disaster, and I am really having a hard time trying to imagine such a thing.

Pakistan is an enormous nation, and we are being told that one-third of the entire country is currently covered by water…

One-third of Pakistan has been completely submerged by historic flooding, its climate minister says.

Devastating flash floods have washed away roads, homes and crops – leaving a trail of deadly havoc across Pakistan.

“It’s all one big ocean, there’s no dry land to pump the water out,” Sherry Rehman said, calling it a “crisis of unimaginable proportions”.

What a horrible, horrible tragedy.

Needless to say, this is having an enormous impact on agricultural production…

A situation report from the United Nations stated that nearly 800,000 livestock, a vital food and livelihood source for Pakistanis, have perished amid the monsoon floods. Around 2 million acres of crops and orchards have also been impacted.

I expect those numbers will go even higher as the full extent of the damage becomes clear.

This is yet another very serious blow to the global food supply, and it means that our rapidly growing food crisis is going to get even worse.

There are areas in Africa that are dealing with unprecedented flooding right now as well.

For example, check out what has been going on in Sudan…

Sudan is in the midst of yet another round of severe floods, even as much of the Horn of Africa struggles with catastrophic drought.

The Save the Children organization says 83 people have died and another 146,000 have been affected by the flooding. Whole villages have been submerged, with nearly 44,000 homes partially or completely destroyed. People living in the Gezira and River Nile states have required assistance from the British-based NGO.

Authorities in Sudan have declared a state of emergency in a third of the country’s provinces. Central Darfur, South Darfur, and West Darfur also have seen some of the worst impacts.

This is what I mean when I say that global weather patterns have gone completely haywire in 2022.

Much of the planet is either getting way too much rain or way too little rain.

Let me give you another example.

Here in the United States, even as the western half of the country suffers from endless drought we are witnessing crazy flooding along the Mississippi River…

Major flooding across America’s heartland will be around for weeks to come as the Mississippi River surges south.

The deadly onslaught of rising waters and storms has killed more than two dozen people in Missouri and Illinois.

In all, some 7 million people in 15 states were under threat of flooding, according to CNN meteorologists.

So why is this happening?

Is someone trying to tell us something?

All of this drought and all of this flooding are going to be really, really bad for global food production.

The stage is being set for the sort of historic global famines that we have been warned about, and even now food prices are starting to surge dramatically all over the planet.

But most people still don’t seem too alarmed.

In fact, most people still seem entirely convinced that everything will work out just fine somehow.

Hopefully they are correct, because at this point the vast majority of the general population is completely and utterly unprepared for any sort of a major disruption to their current lifestyles.

Daily Jot: The tale of two citizens - Bill Wilson – www.dailyjot.com

What does former president Donald Trump have in common with a black pastor from Alabama? And what does that have to do with you? In May, Pastor Michael Jennings had just finished up services at his church in Childersburg and went to his neighbor’s house to water their plants while they were away. Another neighbor called the police and said there was an unknown man on the property. The police showed up while Pastor Jennings was still watering the plants. The officer’s body cam shows Jennings explaining, “I’m Pastor Jennings. I live across the street. I’m looking out for their house while they’re gone.” The police demanded identification. Jennings refused, saying he didn’t do anything wrong. And then things went south.

Two minutes later, Jennings was handcuffed and the officers were aggressively demanding he identify himself. Then another neighbor told the officers that Jennings likely did have permission to water the flowers. But the officers continued to maintain that Jennings was a suspicious person and he should have presented his identification when asked, even though he was not committing a crime. Even members of Pastor Jennings family confirmed his identification, but he was taken to jail in cuffs and charged with “obstruction of a government operation.” Now, because of the body cam footage, that charge was dropped a month later and the officers are under investigation for their conduct.

Now where does Trump come in? Well, it’s a similar situation. The FBI, in his case, comes to his home because one of their agents thinks Trump is withholding government documents that “could” impact national security. Even though Trump and his lawyers have been working with the Department of Justice on these so-called National Archive documents for months, the FBI raids his home and makes a big deal that Trump has stolen his own documents—that’s essentially what this is. Today, there is a bunch of back and forth in the courts about whether Trump is guilty of something. Reviewing the search warrant and the redacted affidavit that generated the warrant, there was nothing but speculation by the FBI.

Pastor Jennings and former president Trump are victims of a militant system established by the Democratic Party. In Jennings’ case, it’s the residue of Democratic Party Jim Crow laws that began oppressing freed slaves after the Civil War. In Trump’s case, it’s the jackboot FBI targeting a citizen to give the impression of wrong doing, exactly the reason Congress opposed the formation of the FBI in 1908—it would become a secret police used against the citizenry. This is exactly what the Democratic Party has done with the FBI, especially against Trump. And we can see from these two examples that an all-powerful government can make up any charge against you it wishes and disrupt your life if you don’t go along with it. We all may face it and what will we do? As Peter and the Apostles said in Acts 5:29, “We ought to obey God rather than man.”

Daily Jot: Hearing His Voice - by Greg Laurie – www.harvest.org

To him the doorkeeper opens, and the sheep hear his voice; and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out —John 10:3

As you get to know your Shepherd, you will come to realize that when He calls you, it is always worth obeying. When He says something, it is for your benefit. If He says, “Go this way,” it’s because He has green pastures and still waters for you. If He says, “Stop! Don’t do that,” it’s because He is trying to protect you from potential danger, possibly something that is even life-threatening.

The fact that God speaks to us is clear throughout the pages of Scripture. To some, like Moses, God spoke audibly. To others, like the prophet Elijah, He spoke quietly on at least one occasion.

Often we look for the big events, the earth-shaking circumstances in which God speaks. And many times He is speaking to us, but it is in a still, small voice. We should try turning off the television, the radio, and the telephone and just listen. With all the noise in our world, with all the information that bombards us, we can hear all those voices but miss the most important voice of all.

Maybe one reason we don’t hear Him is because we never stop and listen. We should heed the words of Psalm 46:10, which says, “Be still, and know that I am God.”

Once we have heard the voice of God, we need to follow. Jesus said, “The sheep follow him, for they know his voice” (John 10:4). The word follow means to deliberately decide to comply with instruction. It is a deliberate choice for sheep to follow the shepherd. We need to deliberately decide to follow our Shepherd, to do what He tells us to do.

When God Almighty speaks to you in that still, small voice, will you listen? Will you follow Him.
