PROPHECY UPDATE 7/13/2022

There Will Be a Day - By Dennis Huebshman - https://www.raptureready.com/2022/07/12/there-will-be-a-day-by-dennis-huebshman/

From Matthew 24:6a-8; “And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars…. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom; and there will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are but the beginning of the birth pains.”

Luke 21:11 expands on this; “There will be great earthquakes, and in various places famines and pestilences. And there will be terrors and great signs from Heaven.”

Going on to Luke 21:26-28, “people fainting with fear and with foreboding of what is coming on the world. For the powers of the heavens will be shaken. And then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. Now when these things begin to take place, straighten up and raise your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.” (ESV – all emphasis mine)

Even though we see what we believe are the “beginnings” of the above signs, they represent a part of the Tribulation/Wrath 7-year period of time spoken of in Daniel and Revelation. Some may try to say we are already in that time, but as 2 Thessalonians 2 tells us, the antichrist or “lawless one” cannot appear until the force that restrains this “mystery of lawlessness” is out of the way. He represents the actual time of the Tribulation that starts right after he gets a 7-year peace treaty signed with Israel and the rest of the world.

For those who are true believers in Jesus as their Savior, what we are seeing are signs that tell us we will be leaving here soon. The prelude that is taking place could be classified as insignificant compared to what will happen after we’re gone and when Satan’s forces are fully released on this earth. That movement is presently gaining ground, and the changes taking place are troubling. It’s difficult to imagine just how much worse it can get.

It has been said that the United States, which has been a considerably strong force in the world up to now, is not mentioned in end-times prophecies. Looking at the worldwide view of this country today, events that have taken place very recently have taken our reputation down. As our strength and status get less and less in the world’s eyes, this country is being prepared to be absorbed into a “new world order” led by a “one-world government” of which there will be no real lead nation. The really sad part is, our population that will be here will be ready for this to happen and will willingly accept the change.

It is no accident that the current administration of the U.S. is in office. God put them there and is not surprised by anything that is taking place. In fact, He is allowing it to happen according to His ultimate plan. In Philippians 4:6-7, we’re told, “do not be anxious about anything, but in prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your request be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

Seems simple, but the Father knows all of our concerns. We need to realize Satan’s forces are constantly at work, and anyone who is a follower of Jesus is being called a “hater.” Because we do not accept the abominations that some lifestyles are indulging in, it does not mean we hate the people. Jesus told us to love all our brothers and sisters because each one has an immortal soul, but that does not mean we have to accept their lifestyles. He will accept anyone who will repent and call on Him to save them from eternal condemnation.

For all who have received and accepted Jesus as our Savior, our eternity is set. God does not make promises that He will not keep (Titus 1:2). An event described by the Apostle Paul in 1 Thessalonians 4:13-17 and 1 Corinthians 15:51-53, commonly called the Rapture, will take place. It is to keep all the Shepherd’s flock from going through the coming wrath (1 Thessalonians 1:10, 1 Thessalonians 5:9-10, and Revelation 3:10). We were told this would take place before the Tribulation, and I, for one, am eagerly looking forward to it.

In the meantime, we do not need to be just waiting and doing nothing. We need to be in prayer daily, asking the Holy Spirit to touch the hearts of any loved ones who are not truly saved. It wouldn’t be too much to pray this more than once a day. Being a “prayer warrior” is special, and the effects can be amazing.

There will be those who will choose this world over all else. Jesus knew that more would accept their current lifestyle and not be prepared for eternity. He spoke of the two pathways in Matthew 7:13-14. He stated the path to eternal life is narrow, and there would be few on it. Our hope is that through our prayers, we may get some of those lost souls off the broad path that leads to eternal destruction.

The day is coming soon, and our Jesus will be calling us up to meet Him in the air. This will not be the occasion that takes place at the end of the Tribulation where they will “see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.” Actually, the Rapture will be over in considerably less than one second.

Jeremy Camp wrote and released a song in 2008 called “There Will Be a Day.” It is a testimony to the promise of the Lord to take us Home. It’s a day that all Jesus’ followers are waiting for, and the Father knows we are longing for it. Please consider the message.

1.) I try to hold on to this world with everything I have. But I feel the weight of what it brings and the hurt that tries to grab, The many trials that seem to never end. His word declares the truth that we will enter in this rest with wonders anew.

(ref) But I hold on to this hope and the promise that He brings, That there will be a place with no more suffering. There will be a day with no more tears, no more pain, and no more fears. There will be a day when the burdens of this place will be no more. We’ll see Jesus face-to-face, but until that day, we’ll hold on to You always.

2.) I know the journey seems so long; you feel like you’re walking on your own. But there has never been a step where you walked out all alone. Troubled soul, don’t lose your heart, ’cause joy and peace He brings, and the beauty that’s in store outweighs the hurt of life’s sting. (ref)

3.) I can’t wait until that day, where the very One I’ve lived for always will wipe away the sorrow that I’ve faced (wipe away the tears), to touch the scars that rescued me from a life of shame and misery; Oh, this is why, this is why I sing.

There will be a day with no more tears, no more pain, and no more fears. There will be a day when the burdens of this place will be no more. We’ll see Jesus face-to-face (x2). There will be a day He will wipe away the tears; He will wipe away the tears; He will wipe away the tears; and there will be a day.

For all who have received and accepted Jesus, we know that we will not be here much longer. As another song line stated, “All my trials, Lord, soon be over.” Once we’re Home, all this will be lost in the past.

For all who have not chosen Jesus as their Savior, please read Romans 10:9-13 for the simple steps to do so. Consider that the Son of the Living God, Creator of the heavens and the earth, has provided you with the opportunity to have eternal life with Him for the asking. He paid our passage in full with His precious blood shed on crucifixion day. He conquered sin and death on resurrection day.

The alternative is to be forever separated from Him in a place of darkness, and there will be no relief ever. He is available 24-7 to receive your call, and please know you have not sinned so greatly that He won’t forgive and accept you if you truly ask Him to be your Savior.

It’s absolutely each individual’s choice of where they will spend eternity. Please choose wisely; please choose soon. We are not guaranteed tomorrow, and that could be the day and time the Father has chosen.

Come, Lord Jesus!

Why Biden's 'Gestures' to the Palestinians Will Not Bring Peace or Stability - by Bassam Tawil - https://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/18699/biden-israel-gestures-palestinians

On the eve of President Joe Biden's visit to the Middle East, Israel is once again being asked by the US administration to make "gestures" to the Palestinian Authority. The purpose of these measures, according to the Americans, is to strengthen the Palestinian Authority (PA) and its president, Mahmoud Abbas.

The PA, of course, is not being required by the Americans or other international parties to make any "gestures" or "concessions" to rein in terrorism (here, here, and here), support for it, murder as a jobs program, or to treat its own people with increased regard for either a more prosperous future or human rights.

There is much that the Palestinian Authority can do to ease tensions and help create a suitable atmosphere for the resumption of the peace process with Israel. The PA could, for example, stop the incitement against Israel, halt payments to families of terrorists, condemn terrorism and crack down on terror groups operating under its control.

Yet there is no reason why the Palestinian leadership should do anything so long as no one is asking it to.

Instead of halting the incitement, the Palestinian Authority is continuing to encourage hostility and even violence.

As the Biden administration is talking about the need for "gestures," PA Prime Minister Mohammad Shtayyeh, just this month, falsely accused Israel of using the bodies of slain terrorists in Israeli medical laboratories. This is the type of whipping people up that prompts Palestinians to carry out more terrorist attacks.

The Biden administration might do itself a favor if it understood that previous "gestures" made by Israel did not contribute to peace and stability in the region, and did not advance any peace process between the Israel and the Palestinians.

On the contrary, Israeli "gestures" and "concessions," such as the release of terrorists from prison, the increase in the number of Palestinians permitted to work in Israel, and the removal of checkpoints have been interpreted by the Palestinians as signs of weakness, capitulation and, by the leadership, as permission to continue mistreating their people. It is this unresponsive governance by the Palestinian Authority to everything except killing Jews -- not the absence of "gestures" -- that strengthens the support for Hamas.

The Palestinians correctly spot these fig-leaf public relations "gestures" as merely political plumage for Abbas that does not require him to change how he mistreats them. So why not try Hamas?

Similarly, the Israeli withdrawal from the Gaza Strip in 2005 was also seen by the Palestinians not as a kind or generous "gesture," but as a "retreat" in the face of terrorism -- especially as it took place after a wave of suicide bombings and rocket attacks against Israel. It was hard, in fact, to find anyone in the Gaza Strip who saw Israel's withdrawal as a positive development or as a sign that Israel wanted peace and calm. Instead, it was seen as a validation of terrorism: We shoot, they run. Great! It's working! So, let's keep on doing that!

Until today, Hamas, the Palestinian Islamist group controlling the Gaza Strip, continues to portray the withdrawal as a "defeat" for Israel and "victory" for the terror groups. In addition, Hamas continues to describe the "expulsion" of Israel from the Gaza Strip as a first step towards achieving its goal of eliminating Israel and replacing it with an Iranian-backed Islamist state.

In 2008, the Israeli government thought that a series of "gestures" and "concessions" would strengthen then Palestinian Authority Prime Minister Salam Fayyad. The Israeli measures were announced on the eve of a visit to the region by then US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice.

The Israeli measures did not help Fayyad; he was eventually forced to resign because of tensions with the veteran Palestinian leadership, including Abbas, who saw him as a threat to their authoritarian rule.

Fayyad was never popular among the Palestinians: he had never spent a day in Israeli prison and had not been involved in terrorism.

In Palestinian culture, it is more important if one graduates from an Israeli prison than from the University in Texas at Austin, where Fayyad studied before going on to work at the World Bank between 1987 and 1995. When he ran in the 2006 Palestinian parliamentary elections at the head of an independent list called Third Way, he won only two seats.

The "gestures" that Israel is now being asked to make are not going to bolster the standing of Abbas and his senior officials in the Palestinian Authority. These moves are also not going to change the PA's and Palestinians' perceptions about Israel or the US, as past experiences clearly show.

A recent public opinion poll conducted by the Palestinian Center for Policy and Survey Research found that 59% of Palestinians view armed attacks against Israelis as serving the national interest of the Palestinian people. Another 55% support a return to an armed intifada (uprising) and clashes with Israel. In addition, the poll found that a majority of Palestinians (65%) are opposed to dialogue with the Biden administration.

The "gestures" and "concessions" will, in fact, be seen by Palestinians, like Israel's retreat from the Gaza Strip, as a reward for their ongoing incitement and terrorism against Israel.

The "gestures" the Biden administration is demanding are, according to the Israeli group Regavim, illegal:

"A first-of-its kind visit by a US President to east Jerusalem without any Israeli presence of accompaniment, signaling that our capital is divided between two sovereigns, constitutes a substantive violation of US law, Israeli law and diplomatic protocol."

According to some reports, one of the "gestures" includes a visit by Biden to a Palestinian hospital in east Jerusalem. There is, of course, nothing wrong with visiting a hospital, but if you insist on going to east Jerusalem without being accompanied by Israeli officials, then you are seeking to advance what is, in reality, a frustrating improbability: that Jerusalem is not the capital of Israel.

Here is what the official Fatah Facebook page published as late as May 25, 2022: "No statute of limitations will apply to our historical right to take back all the Palestinian land from the [Jordan] River to the [Mediterranean] Sea, including the [Jordan] River and the [Mediterranean] Sea" -- thereby making an alliance with Hamas all the more tempting in order to accelerate the process.

In addition, talk about increasing the Palestinian Authority presence at the Allenby Bridge border crossing between Israel and Jordan -- to signal joint sovereignty and authority over Israel's border and the secession of its control and sovereignty over the Jordan Valley -- will only create an immensely destabilizing situation, for which the Biden administration will justly be blamed.

The Palestinian Authority has done almost nothing to disarm the terror groups operating under its control in several parts of the West Bank, especially Jenin and Nablus. If the PA is unable or unwilling to fight against the Palestinian terror groups, how can it be trusted to assume control over a border crossing between Israel and Jordan? Does the Biden administration seriously believe that Abbas's representatives at the border crossing would thwart attempts by terrorists to smuggle weapons into Israel?

The opening of a US consulate/embassy to the Palestinians would, as the Biden administration seems to want, only increase the Palestinian Authority's appetite to engage in more incitement and violence against both the Jews and their own people.

It would have been more helpful had the Biden administration demanded that the Palestinians stop the incitement and disarm all the terror groups operating in its areas. The terror groups treat Palestinians even worse than they treat Jews.

The US delegation, however, does not seem to care about the Palestinian incitement and terror, or even how the Palestinian people are misgoverned.

The Biden administration is making a big mistake by forcing Israel to make concessions to the Palestinian Authority. Rewarding it for bad behavior will only aggravate tensions between the Palestinians and their government, embolden the extremists among them and drive the Palestinian people even further into the waiting arms of Hamas.

It’s Who They Are - By Steve Schmutzer - https://www.raptureready.com/2022/07/12/its-who-they-are-by-steve-schmutzer/

The Highland Park, Illinois shooting tragedy is just the latest excuse for libs to beat the same drum.

“We need more gun control!”

It’s their standard drivel. The left’s Pavlovian responses are so predictable that it’s plain they don’t properly think through the issues.

First off, Illinois has the eighth strictest gun laws in the nation, according to the Giffords Law Center to Prevent Gun Violence. That didn’t prevent a freakish punk with facial tattoos and criminal intent from fulfilling his warped fantasies.

More gun laws don’t keep the criminals from getting them. They just prevent the good guys from owning them. It’s no different than revoking the licenses of sober drivers because too many drunk drivers are killing them.

Second, studies using data from 1977 to 1992 (Lott and Mustard, 1997) found that states implementing shall-issue laws saw significant decreases in rates of violent crime, murder, rape, and assault. Their “more guns = less crime” findings have been supported by other similar studies.

The bottom line is criminals don’t want to risk getting shot. That’s why most mass shootings take place at gun-free zones like schools.

Third, we need to admit the failure of law enforcement. Bobby Crimo III, the Highland Park perp who dressed as a woman during his attack, was known to law enforcement. His violent videos and intentions, his close ties to Antifa and the Democratic Socialists of America, his infatuation with the occult, and many markings of liberal fascism all marinated his social media.

This was one wacked-out kid who showed every evidence of being a mentally ill foot soldier of the left. And law enforcement did nothing about it – – not until it was too late.

This unfortunate situation recalls the system-wide failures of the Uvalde, TX tragedy. We now know the corrupt Police Chief, Arredondo, had not only donated money to far-left Beto “Hell-yes-we’re-coming-after-your-AR15s” O’Rourke, but he’d also ordered his officers to stand down and not go in after the shooter. The door was unlocked, the officers were armed and trained and ready to do their job, but – – well, there’s that leftie thing. It interferes with good values and common sense.

“We need more gun control!” Yeah – right. Whatever.

What’s abundantly plain is that the gun’s no more at fault for what happened in Highland Park, Illinois, than a pencil is at fault for a failed test.

In their hearts, the Dems already know this. Their problem is the facts interfere with their agenda. And so, they froth and rage. Volume and violence have always been a weak argument’s best friends.

The recent overturning of Roe v. Wade is another situation that showcased the left’s penchant for nonsense and violence. Abortion wasn’t outlawed; it was turned back over to the states to decide. That’s where the issue belonged in the first place.

There is nothing in the Constitution that grants federal abortion rights. Even the late Ruth Bader Ginsberg, a far-left adherent, knew this and noted the problem.

But again, the facts didn’t matter. I hadn’t seen the Democrats that angry since the slaves were freed.

Oh – – – you didn’t know?

Yep, the Democrats were the party of slavery, of the KKK, of Jim Crow, and of segregation. History is very clear about this. The Democrats were the ones to suppress the rights of black Americans over and over. The left has always been about violence against others, which explains why they are the biggest fans of abortion – even right up to the point of birth.

Margaret Sanger was the founder of Planned Parenthood, the seminal entity behind the abortion movement as we know it now. Sanger was a proponent of “negative eugenics,” the goal of which is to remove ‘undesirable hereditary traits’ by social intervention. She wanted to reduce the reproduction of those she considered inferior, and she said her goal was to “assist the race toward the elimination of the unfit.”

Was Sanger racist? Yep. Under Sanger’s direction, Planned Parenthood was marketed to minorities and women of color, and that strategy continues even now. A study by Protecting Black Lives, in 2012, found that 79 percent of Planned Parenthood’s abortion facilities were located within walking distance of minority communities.

The impact of abortions in the black community has been so profound that in 2008, Issues4Life Foundation wrote to the Congressional Black Caucus to denounce Planned Parenthood Federation of America and its “racist and eugenic goals,” calling for the organization to be defunded. But the Dems screamed loudly to promote abortion instead. All their colors showed. The Dems are not pro-choice. They are pro-death.

It’s interesting to note that right after Roe v. Wade got overturned, all the libs became biologists. Suddenly, they all knew what a woman was. Their depraved goals needed a quick change to the narrative.

We hear that the left is “unhinged,” and that is true. This has been particularly so in their reactions to President Trump and his supporters.

Although the right is deeply distraught with the fraudulent election of President Biden and with his “Build Back Bolshevik” policies, they don’t riot in the streets, torch cars, beat up bystanders, threaten to kill electors, shoot cops, form filthy communes in public places, encourage assassinations, promote anarchy, plan hit squads against homes, claw at the doors of the Supreme Court, bankroll mobs, shut down free speech, nor ask for safe rooms, teddy bears, pet therapy, and Play-Doh.

When conservatives disagree with the liberal-socialist agenda, they don’t flood Twitter with murder threats or roundhouse kick peaceful protesters. They don’t menace the left with threats of rape, and they don’t shoot Democrat lawmakers at baseball games.

They don’t talk about blowing up the White House, and they don’t pose with severed heads of the President. Conservatives are not out there shouting at folks in elevators, stabbing opposition candidates, encouraging supporters to harass liberal lawmakers wherever they find them, or burning the left’s campaign headquarters to the ground. The right didn’t start 574 “mostly peaceful protests” that saw hundreds of cops injured, dozens of people killed, and billions of dollars’ worth of property damage.

Conservatives don’t scream publicly for violence in the streets. Conservatives don’t attack and berate Christians for their beliefs and values at the same time as they are protecting and aiding Sharia law. Conservatives don’t call for impeachment just because they don’t like someone, and they don’t protect a two-tiered system of justice at all costs.

They don’t turn venerated proceedings for Supreme Court picks into chaotic protest rallies, and they don’t stonewall cabinet nominees for over a year. The right does not register illegal immigrants in a dishonest effort to create sympathetic voters, and conservatives do not go on national television to protect criminals from that group over the rights of their unfortunate – and legal – victims!

Our nation is being viciously torn apart – but not by those who value freedom, democracy, the rule of law, Constitutional rights, and secure borders. It’s not from those who carry guns responsibly to keep themselves and others safe.

We have a massive and obvious problem. The conduct of the left is now commonly unlawful, frequently depraved, routinely deceptive, persistently violent, habitually self-serving, frankly phony, and – on so many points – outrageously wrong!

It’s not that the left doesn’t understand the virtues of common sense, law, due process, and faith – but rather, they don’t want them! Committed liberals are engaged in a war against all things reasonable, righteous, and respectable. The plain facts make this clear.

Those who most despise God, His gospel, His values, His followers, and His systems of law and order which are based on His eternal Word – are also those who most likely call themselves leftists, socialists, liberals, progressives, or Democrats. It’s all the same.

You need to think about it. The left’s pattern of actions proves they’re agents of hate and violence.

It’s who they are.

God’s King – As Revealed in the Psalms – Jonathan Brentner - https://www.jonathanbrentner.com/https/jonathan-brentner-g8fgsquarespacecom/config

The Psalms offer much encouragement for believers and have done so for many centuries. They offer comfort for a variety of troubling situations and provide perspective to help us deal with troubling emotions.

Many saints recognize the prophetic value of the Psalms. Psalm 22, for example, provides vivid details of Jesus’ crucifixion many centuries before that type of execution even exited. Who but God could have revealed such specifics almost a thousand years in advance?

While reading through Psalms several times in the past few years, I have observed anew their prophetic value. Many of them look forward to Jesus’ return to earth and His reign over the nations of the earth.

The apostle John wrote about this time in Revelation 20:1-10 where he provides the length of this intermediary kingdom before the eternal state. We refer to this time as the Millennium because John specifically tells us that it will last for one thousand years.

A multitude of verses in the Old Testament speak of this future rule of King Jesus. For this post, however, I will highlight what the Psalms tell us about God’s King.

GOD THE FATHER GIVES THE KINGDOMS OF THIS WORLD TO HIS SON

I love Psalm 2 because it sets the stage for all other Messianic prophecies in the Psalms. Here we learn that it’s the Father who gives the nations of the earth to His Son as His inheritance.

In Psalm 2:7–8, we read this:

The Lord said to me, “You are my Son; today I have begotten you. Ask of me, and I will make the nations your heritage, and the ends of the earth your possession.”

Daniel 7:13-14 provides added context to these verses. There, “one like the son of man” approaches the “Ancient of Days” who gives Him a realm such “that all peoples, nations, and languages should serve him.” Similar to what we read in Psalm 2, the Father gives the Son dominion over the kingdoms of the world.

Psalm 2:9 describes Jesus’ future rule in a way that eliminates interpreting it as His headship over the church or the eternal state:

You shall break them with a rod of iron and dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel.

Jesus most certainly doesn’t rule in such a way over His bride. And such a reign can only apply to a time when sin and death still exist, which eliminates the eternal state.

I wrote the following in my book, The Triumph of the Redeemed:

The presence of rebellion and harsh judgment during this reign of Jesus, as we see in Psalm 2, differentiates it as well from the eternal state where sin and death will no longer exist (Revelation 21:4). No other time fits with the conditions of Jesus’ rule as described in Psalm 2; it must be the Millennium where Scripture indicates that sin and rebellion will occur (Zechariah 14:16–19; Revelation 20:7–10). Only the millennial reign of Jesus aligns with the conditions described in Psalm 2.[i]

Psalm 2 opens the door to glorious prophecies throughout the Psalms that tell of Jesus’ triumphant Second Coming and the praise-worthy glories of his thousand-year reign over the nations.

JESUS WILL PUT AN END TO WARFARE

When I arrive at Psalm 46 on my trek through the Psalms, I stop and read it several times. During these chaotic times, it reassures me of God’s sovereignty and future reign over the nations.

In a context that speaks to the coming Tribulation period as described in the book of Revelation, Psalm 46 tells us that Jesus will put an end to all the warfare in the world when He returns. It will not happen until then. Indeed, it cannot.

He makes wars cease to the end of the earth;

   he breaks the bow and shatters the spear;

he burns the chariots with fire. (Verse 9)

What does this all mean for us?

It’s a call to rest secure in God’s sovereignty over all of history knowing that Jesus will someday rule over all the lands and peoples of the earth. Until then, violence will continue unchecked in our world.

I love verse 10 of this Psalm; I often quote it to myself when current events trouble my soul.

Be still, and know that I am God.

I will be exalted among the nations,

I will be exalted in the earth!

We can quiet our hearts knowing that in the future, the Lord will fulfill the last two lines of Psalm 46:10. (Please note: this verse does not find it’s fulfillment in missions, but only in the coming thousand-year rule of Jesus over the nations of the earth.)

Doesn’t that make you want to jump for joy and “sing praises” to the Lord? That’s exactly the sentiment of Psalm 47 in which the Psalmist rejoices at the prospect of the Lord ruling “over all the earth.”

Psalms 47-48 are also Messianic Psalms that tell of the rejoicing and praise that will erupt on the earth once God’s King, Jesus, reigns for a thousand years over the peoples of the earth from Zion.

Does this not give us a new perspective on current events?

JESUS WILL ADMINISTER JUSTICE UPON HIS RETURN TO EARTH

Psalm 94, another Messianic prophecy regarding God’s King, begins with a plea for God to judge the wicked:

O LORD, God of vengeance,

O God of vengeance, shine forth!

Rise up, O judge of the earth;

repay to the proud what they deserve! (1-2)

Along with Psalm 37, this is my go-to Psalm when I feel anger mounting inside me due to the wickedness, deception, and widespread corruption in our world. It reassures me that God sees all that is happening and His day of reckoning is ever so close.

Verse 20-23 of Psalm 94 describe how the Lord will respond to the rampant wickedness of our day:

Can wicked rulers be allied with you,

those who frame injustice by statute?

They band together against the life of the righteous

and condemn innocent blood to death.

But the LORD has become my stronghold,

and my God the rock of my refuge.

He will bring back on them their iniquity

   and wipe them out for their wickedness;

the LORD our God will wipe them out.

There’s coming a great day of justice for those who by their statutes (and executive orders) “condemn innocent blood to death.” Though the application is wider than abortion, it fits oh so well with Biden’s attempt to negate the recent ruling on abortion by the U.S. Supreme Court.

God’s King “will reign in righteousness” (Isaiah 32:1). In order for that to happen, He must first cleanse the earth of all the wickedness, violence, deception, and corruption that’s oh so rampant today.

The globalists of our day plot in vain because when Jesus returns to the earth, He “will wipe them out.”

JESUS’ REIGN WILL CAUSE THE EARTH TO REJOICE AND WORSHIP

Whenever I read through the Psalter, I always look forward to the time when I reach Psalms 95-100. There we catch a further glimpse of the rejoicing and praise that will resound throughout the earth at Jesus’ Second Coming and during His subsequent rule over the earth.

Do not let anyone tell you that these chapters speak to a spiritual reign. The Psalmist is clearly prophesying about God’s King that will someday return and rule over the nations of the earth. The language speaks to a physical kingdom with a visible Ruler.

Please read all of Psalm 95-100. The words of Psalm 96:9-10 sums up this passage:

Worship the LORD in the splendor of holiness;

tremble before him, all the earth!

Say among the nations, “The Lord reigns!

   Yes, the world is established; it shall never be moved;

he will judge the peoples with equity.”

Kings in ancient times acted as the supreme court of the land. So, when the Psalmist says that God’s King “will judge the peoples with equity,” he’s referring to what Jesus will do in His role as King of the earth. In His regal capacity seated on the throne of David, Jesus will act as the supreme judge.

JESUS WILL RULE FROM ZION

The Psalms clearly depict God’s King as ruling over the nations of the world from Zion, another name for Jerusalem.

Psalm 99:2 says:

The Lord is great in Zion;

he is exalted over all the peoples.

Psalm 48:1-3 leaves us with no doubt as to the place where God’s King, Jesus, will rule over the kingdoms of this world.

Great is the LORD and greatly to be praised

in the city of our God!

His holy mountain, beautiful in elevation,

is the joy of all the earth,

Mount Zion, in the far north,

the city of the great King.

Within her citadels God

has made himself known as a fortress.

We know from the book of Zechariah that when Jesus comes, He will make significant changes to the geography of Jerusalem (14:4-8). During Jesus’ rule on the earth, The Lord will adorn the city with much added splendor. (Mount Zion is a geographical location within Jerusalem.)

God’s King will surely rule the world from a gloriously restored Israel and Jerusalem will not only be its capital, but also that of the entire world.

WE LIVE IN PERILOUS, YET EXCITING TIMES

The day is which we live carries with it much excitement along with increasing peril and many dangers.

As we watch ancient prophecies fall into place, it reminds us that the world is marching toward the time when God places His King on the throne of David from where He will rule over the nations of the world.

We can absolutely certain that someday God’s King, the Lord Jesus, will rule over the nations of the earth just as God the Father promises us all through the Psalms.

In Isaiah 46:9-11, we find these reassuring words about God’s sovereignty in this matter:

I am God, and there is none like me,

declaring the end from the beginning

and from ancient times things not yet done,

saying, ‘My counsel shall stand,

and I will accomplish all my purpose,’

calling a bird of prey from the east,

the man of my counsel from a far country.

I have spoken, and I will bring it to pass;

I have purposed, and I will do it.

This is what God loves to do. In Scriptures written long ago, He tells us what will happen next as He prepares the world for Jesus’ kingdom. There has never been a time like today when we see God’s moving the world toward the Tribulation period that will result in God placing His King on the throne of David.

Yes, we live in perilous times that are more threatening than I ever imagined they would be ahead of the Rapture.

The good news is that Jesus is coming for us soon. He is God’s King who will fulfill all the prophecies listed above from the Psalms and well over a thousand more verses in the Old and New Testaments that speak of what He’s about to do in purging the world of evil ahead of the establishment of His glorious kingdom headquartered in Zion.

My book, The Triumph of the Redeemed-An eternal Perspective that Calms Our Fears in Perilous Times, is available on Amazon. Why do we believe that Jesus is coming for His church before the seven-year Tribulation? In my book, I explain both why we believe this and why it matters.

Daily Jot: Stupidocrisy: Jill Biden’s racism - Bill Wilson – www.dailyjot.com

Don’t you just shake your head in amazement when leftists like First Lady Jill Biden think they are so above everyone else that they can throw out racist remarks and clothe them in love and respect. Mrs. Biden thinks that race and ethnicity are tied to food. Hence, Biden in a speech to the radical left National Council of La Raza, compared the Hispanic diversity in San Antonio with other cities “as unique as the breakfast tacos here in San Antonio.” Immediately, the Hispanic community caught on to the subtleties and launched a social media attack thanking her for clarifying that Democrats think Hispanics are “unique” like tacos. Biden’s remarks were considered culturally insensitive and racist.

The White House staff, which is so accustomed to the Biden family’s inappropriate, and quite frankly, stupid remarks, took nearly 24 hours to come up with an apology—probably because they were burning up the phones like habanero peppers trying to cool down their political base. Finally, the First Lady’s press secretary Michael LaRosa, issued a statement: “The First Lady apologizes that her words conveyed anything but pure admiration and love for the Latino community.” From the culturally incompetent Mrs. Biden’s perspective, she could establish an entire restaurant menu of ethnic and racial slurs. Just think what she could do with fried chicken, potatoes, perogies, curry, fish and chips, sushi and fortune cookies.

Liberals believe they can use racial slurs because, after all, they are the ones fighting racism and their slurs are done out of love. Or it’s just part of the “debate.” Let’s rewind to August 16, 2020 when late show host Stephen Colbert asked Kamala Harris how she went from being a passionate opponent of Biden because of his racist past to becoming pals? She laughed off the question, saying it was a debate. Colbert replied, “So, you don’t mean it?” Harris responded, “It was a debate. The whole evening, literally, it was a debate.” Harris’s accusations that Biden supported racism and worked in the Senate to continue the Jim Crow segregation laws against Black Americans were extraordinarily serious, yet she passed these off as just “a debate.” It’s deeper than that. The Democratic Party historically has disenfranchised Black Americans.

For over 100 years after the Civil War, Democrats instituted Jim Crow laws that oppressed Black voting, mandated segregation of public schools, public places, public transportation, housing, restrooms, drinking fountains, and restaurants. Jim Crow Laws incarceratedBlacks for the smallest of crimes to prevent them from voting. Joe Biden was part and parcel to this dark history. These laws began to be deconstructed with the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Voting Rights Act of 1965, although these reforms were opposed by Democrats at all levels of government well into the 1970s. Many residuals of these laws still remain. Leftists and systemic racism are like what Christ said in Matthew 15:8, “These people honor Me with their lips, but their hearts are far from Me.” Who are the Biden’s and their ilk fooling? To me, it’s, say it with me…Stupidocrisy.

Daily Devotion: “Dunamis” Power - by Greg Laurie – www.harvest.org

Preach the word of God. Be prepared, whether the time is favorable or not. Patiently correct, rebuke, and encourage your people with good teaching —2 Timothy 4:2

https://harvest.org/resources/devotion/dunamis-power/ - Listen

Jonah had 40 days to reach 300,000 people with God’s message. So with urgency he went and preached to the Ninevites.

The Bible says that we should preach the Word and be persistent, whether the time is favorable or not (see 2 Timothy 4:2). But preaching doesn’t mean yelling. Preaching is proclamation.

It’s one thing to elevate your voice so that a large crowd can hear you. But I’ve actually seen Christians yelling at people. Don’t do that. Calm down. Lower your volume. Listen more, and lovingly share in an understandable way the things someone needs to hear.

The primary way that God has chosen to reach nonbelievers is through the verbal articulation of the gospel. You may preach it, you may text it, you may tweet it, or you may share it conversationally. But the idea is telling people there is a God in Heaven who loves them and sent his Son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross for their sin and rise from the dead three days later.

The Bible tells us there are only two things that have power: God Himself and the gospel. Paul wrote, “For I am not ashamed of this Good News about Christ. It is the power of God at work, saving everyone who believes—the Jew first and also the Gentile” (Romans 1:16 NLT).

In the original language, the word for power that Paul used is the Greek word dunamis.

When a man named Alfred Nobel invented a material that exploded, there never had been anything like it. As he thought about what he would name this explosive device, he talked with a friend who knew Greek. Nobel asked him what the Greek word was for explosive power, and his friend said it was dunamis. So Alfred Nobel named his invention dynamite.

There’s dynamic, dunamis, explosive power in the simple message of the gospel.
