WHICH MESSIAH WILL YOU FOLLOW?

By Pastor Mike Taylor
"I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive". (John 5:43)

The passage where this scripture is quoted in John chapter 5, recounts the words of Jesus as He attempted to persuade the people of His day of who He really was. All through the gospels, especially the gospel of John, Jesus shows them miracle after miracle and gives them reason after reason to believe on the “One whom God hath sent”. But as any bible student knows, the people were blind and deaf to the reality that was standing right in front of them. The people were looking for a warrior king, much like their ancestor King David, to unite and restore the nation of Israel to its former glory and remove the standing Roman army from their land.

Israel was sub-servant to the power of the Roman empire and their hopes were pinned on the Laws given to Moses and could not see past the rituals that shadowed the coming Messiah. To them, Messiah meant a deliverer King, a fighting man with near supernatural ability to defeat the Romans and expel them from Israel. Who was this carpenter’s son that thought of Himself so highly that he spoke near blasphemy in their minds and in their hearing? This was not what they envisioned. They did not want a poor man of lowly means that had no power of making war. Here was a Man who fit every prophecy of a coming Messiah to the letter, something that the religious authorities and the people had been waiting for over 400 years and knew every last detail of His coming and His family ancestry, based on the clear words of the Torah and the prophets, and they didn’t recognize Him, nor accept Him.

If you look back at scripture, to when Jesus was risen from the grave and appeared to the apostles and many others, even the men who followed Jesus for 3.5 years still did not understand the reason for the coming of the Messiah. As Jesus spoke with them, just before He ascended to heaven, the disciples asked Him in Acts 1:6-7,

"Now those who had come together began to ask him, "Lord, is this the time when you will restore the kingdom to Israel?"
He answered them, 'It is not for you to know what times or periods the Father has set by his own authority."

At this time, even these men who lived, ate, and slept near the King of kings while He was a man on earth, still did not recognize His mission. Not yet, but they would when the day of Pentecost had come and they were filled with the Holy Spirit and the ability to speak out boldly of who Jesus Christ really was, what His mission had been, and revelation of what He had accomplished, being salvation to the Jew first, then to the Gentiles, as Paul eventually took the message to the Gentile nations in Asia Minor and the world.

From that humble beginning, the Word of God has spread like wildfire to cover all the earth. Men have died to speak God’s Word and the Word has flourished over every nation. If you read the New Testament, coupled with the Old Testament prophecies of the coming Messiah, the 4 Gospel accounts give you everything you need to know to make a rational decision that Jesus Christ is the Messiah and the Son of the Living God Almighty. But why is there still doubt and a disbelieving world that rejects this core of our very being of the Christian heart? Because just as God is working full time, over time, and every second of the day to win men’s hearts to God and justify them because of His Son’s sacrifice in blood, His adversary, Satan the devil, is working just as hard to deceive, to lie, to tempt men to give into their sinful nature and deny the need for a Savior. When Thomas doubted that Jesus was risen, but believed when he saw Him with his own eyes, what did Jesus say? Read the surrounded verses that come to this one thought about faith,  John chapter 20:29:

"Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed."

We who live in the last days of the age of grace, believe by faith and not by sight. We believe because the Holy Spirit has revealed this truth to us in our hearts and minds and by faith, we have accepted Jesus as our Savior and Lord of our life. In our hearts, Jesus reigns supreme, (or should be) and we follow Him and His footsteps and model His behavior while on earth. You and I embrace the truth that Jesus is the Son of God, born of a virgin, lived and ministered on earth 3.5 years, and was rejected of His brethren, the Jewish people. We believe that He was falsely accused, beaten, and crucified on a Roman cross and buried in a rich man’s tomb…But the most glorious of it all, is we believe that He arose again 3 days later and is now, as I type, seated at the right Hand of Power, of Almighty God our Father, waiting to return to set up a glorious 1000 year reign of peace, finally upon the earth.

If you want to know who Jesus Christ is, and who He was while on earth, my reader you can get no better explanation than to read the book of John of the four gospels beginning the New Testament.  We do not cling to the law, as the law condemned us, but Jesus has delivered us from the penalty of the law and it’s requirements of sacrifice, by being the sinless sacrifice required by God to forgive each and everyone of us our sins that we cannot help but commit. So why did Jesus come? To supply a way back to the Father in Heaven and have His blood cover our sins, each and everyone who believes by faith.

FALSE MESSIAH COMING

Down through the last two thousand years, there have been many false prophets and many who have proclaimed to be the long awaited messiah the unbelieving world has waited for and especially the Jewish people, who to this day, do not believe in Jesus Christ, save a few blessed of God to receive their spiritual sight and believe in their Messiah. But by and large, the nation of Israel and the Jewish people are still in unbelief and waiting for that warrior king to deliver them from their enemies. At this time we could go into the history lessons of the dispersion of the Jews from 70 AD up to this modern day era, but for brevity sake, we know that the nation of Israel has been reformed again, against all odds in 1948, but is besieged by enemies from all borders of their country who wish nothing more than to destroy them and push them into the Mediterranean Sea. There is no peace when you speak of Palestinians and any words spoke of real peace is an utter lie. You know it, and the wise person who believes his Bible, knows it as well. The current “peace process” that our defacto dictator and his lacky, the Secretary of State, John Kerry are a date with destruction for the nation of Israel and furthering the aim of the enemies of Israel to step closer to Israel’s eventual destruction (at least in their mind). There has been prophecy, after prophecy concerning the coming “lawless one” who will make a treaty with Israel for 7 years.

I have seen attempt after attempt by past American presidents to bring a so-called peace process to Israel and their neighbors to ultimate failure. I read about the current push for a two state solution, which on the Palestinian side is another attempt at lying words to mask their true intent and that is to destroy Israel and its Jewish heritage. This latest push began last June to last 9 months and to bring to the table a set of clear objectives for a permanent peace deal seen at this J-post link:
http://www.jpost.com/Diplomacy-and-Politics/US-official-Permanent-peace-agreement-could-be-reached-by-April-336734

It  starts the article with these words:
WASHINGTON - US Secretary of State John Kerry hopes to narrow differences between Israelis and Palestinians in peace talks this week that are intended to guide the sides toward a deal in April, a senior State Department official said on Tuesday.

Now I recall from my Bible study that there will be a peace treaty that will be signed when the Anti-Christ is revealed and I’m not saying that this is that peace treaty, but the framework is there. Remember from your reading of God’s Word what the real peace treaty will do, when Daniel the prophet wrote in Daniel chapter 9:27:

And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

Now many have postulated that Obama is the Anti-Christ and I have not bought into that theory YET…..but it has come to my attention and I’m studying it’s source by doing online searches, and it would do well with each of us to search and line up events that are forming right now in our political and the world’s economic woes. It is reported that there is a parchment found in a clay jar, outside a nuclear reactor announcing the coming of the 12th Imam, known as Al Mahdi. From all indications that Mahdi and the AC have striking similar prophecies associated with them in Christianity and well as Islam. I don’t put any stock in Islam’s prophecies, but if a section of a particular people believe it, then that’s dangerous and could lead the world into more perilous times. I ask that each of you read and search for the following discovery that purports to identify who this 12th Imam is, known as the Al Mahdi. The Ayatollahs in Iran are in firm belief that the man is alive and well today. This discovery is known as the Arak Codex #190001 and it correlates with the long held belief that the Muslim world has believed for a long time. In this Codex, It describes this man who is believed to the be the Al Mahdi…I take this quote from PJ Media at this link
http://pjmedia.com/lifestyle/2014/01/05/the-return-of-the-twelfth-imam/2/

He is half black, half white. He is tall and strides with a lope. He possesses dead eyes and prominent ears. His background is both obscure and exotic. He is persuasively eloquent and is adept at saying one thing while doing another. His head swivels from side to side when addressing the multitudes, as if reading from prepared texts no doubt lowered from on high and inscribed by the Lord or one of his angels. He gives the distinct impression of being a man-child. He is supremely confident and exudes a certain boyish charm many find irresistible. He is devoted to popular sports involving holes and nets as emblems of ensnaring. He bows frequently in false humility, cajoling the high and mighty of the earth, yet brooks no objection to his will when dissent is offered. He is to be found in many different places from one day to another. He is surrounded by loyal minions, many of whom appear to be imbeciles, who do his bidding without question or scruple. He occupies the seat of power.
Let me be very clear about this, for there are those who cannot bring themselves to confront the evidence of the Twelfth Imam’s uncloaking that I, privy to the discovery of the mystical codex through means I am forbidden to reveal, now set before them. All his actions are directed toward igniting the flames that wait to engulf the world. He diligently undermines the laws, security and prosperity of the people he ostensibly represents, and turns one against the other, sowing discord among the populace. He betrays his friends and allies and renders them vulnerable to international predators. He sponsors and supports warlike groups and aggressive regimes that seek world hegemony. He is an undeclared enemy of the Jewish people and the Jewish state. He is a great friend to Islam in its march toward imposing a caliphate upon unsuspecting nations. He welcomes the black flag and the yellow flag into the sanctum of domestic authority, distributing office among his Muslim acolytes. He smiles upon the ayatollahs and signs agreements that facilitate their holy designs to kindle universal violence and establish God’s kingdom on earth.
He has been schooled at the feet of prophets and sages and learned from the masters of canon and creed. He is the repository of sacred teachings and potent incantations, and is adept at uttering sonorous phrases that please as they befuddle. He is the embodiment of consecrated, numinous and venerable doctrine. He is no longer Hidden but exults among us in all his glory. He is the bringer of chaos and the last days. He will inaugurate a new world order.
Doubters and skeptics must give way. The Twelfth Imam has returned, confirmed in his exaltation by innumerable tokens and crests and auguries. Devastation will precede him and resurrection will surely follow in his wake. The infidel shall be destroyed, destroyed utterly, and the believer shall rise from the smoldering ruins in triumph and gladness of heart. All this shall come to pass for it is written.
He is the Mahdi

Notice the similarities of a president of these United States and the description of the Al Mahdi? But what makes me wonder, and should you, are the prophecies coming from Muslim writings pertaining to this Al Mahdi.

Now this could be a ruse, and I’m fully aware of that, as where did this Codex come from? Did it come from an archaeological discovery, or a planted discovery? What I read, is that nobody outside of the rulers of Iran know of its existence, save a few that have examined it on pain of death to its revealing to the media. But the amazing thing is that prior writing of the Sahih Muslim Book under various book numbers and pages, all talk about this coming Mahdi in the same context and description. It would also be a point of interest to understand that when the church is removed, that the dominate religion on earth will be ISLAM. What better way for Satan to destroy Israel than for the Al Mahdi and the Anti-Christ to be one and the same?

THE COMING MAN OF SIN, FALSE MESSIAH

What of this coming man of sin? The Bible deals with him, as quoted from Daniel chapter 9, and Paul spoke of this false messiah in II Thessalonians 2:3-4:
Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

Jesus spoke of this time in Jewish history future, in Matthew 24:15-16:

"When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)
Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:"

OK, SOME LIBERTY HERE

What has happened up to this point? Remember when I said that the Jews were looking for a warrior king that would deliver them from their enemies and give them the peace and safety they longed for, and restore the glory of the Kingdom of Israel once more? Thinking out loud and taking scripture for what it says, what if a powerful leader of the world’s lone superpower with military might that was unsurpassed in its ability to wage war were to bring a promise of peace and safety to Israel by making a treaty with a framework of two nations living alongside one another “in safety and security”…Sound familiar? Does to me, as that is the talking point of the U.S. involvement in pushing for a so called peace in the Middle East for the last 40+ years. It has been all elusive, but this latest push for a two state solution is being by any means available whether through use of extortion, bribery, or threat of economic sanctions….not against the Palestinians, but against Israel.

SIGNS IN THE HEAVENS
I had a sister just ask me about these coming Blood Moons and those Tetrads coming on God’s Holy Days of Passover and Tabernacles in the next two years and the significance of those events. As I have written before  and it seems many ministers are picking up on it with their own variation, these coming signs seen in our heavens, based on previous blood moons in the past,  have dealt with the nation of Israel and the Jewish race. Are the coming frameworks for a peace treaty with the dead line coming in April, alongside the first Blood Moon seen right around the Jewish Passover have any significance in your mind? Let’s take the clues that we have covered so far and recap with some suppositions:

-a push for a Peace Treaty in Israel scheduled for April
-a transformation of a Republic into something that none of us recognize, the USA.
-Iranian belief that the AlMahdi is on the scene and alive today and the man is pushing for a Muslim Caliphate to rule the world.
-the discovery of this Arak Codex #190001 and it’s description of the AlMahdi
-the long held belief by the Muslims of who the Mahdi will be written in the Sahih Muslim books.
-Signs of the blood moons coming to Israel and has been associated with Israel in every instance of past Blood Moon Tetrads, with the first sign coming in April of this year coinciding with this “peace treaty” that Kerry and Obama are pushing.
-the suspicions of many people of who this president really is, as we know nothing about him, except he reads a good teleprompter.
-our president’s Muslim roots that pander to the nation of Islam but slanders anything that smacks of Christianity. Oh, he says he’s a Christian, but the first law of Islam is to lie to the infidel until he be subdued.

Am I saying that Obama is the Anti-Christ? Not yet, I’m not, but If he’s not, then he is paving the way for the real deal. Everything the man does is Anti-American and designed at destroying our Republic and he is totally against Israel, no matter what he says. But let’s just for conjecture and theory decide Obama is the real deal, based on the above reasons, what may  be Israel’s response in light of the opening verse of this message spoken by Jesus? I propose that the media and the art world has done everything in its power to build an aura around this man and christen him, the new messiah, in word, print and art renderings. Israel has longed for a “savior” or someone to deliver them from their enemies. Someone to give them a sense of peace and security that they have prayed for the last 66 years to arrive. Would they embrace a “false messiah” who gives them a false sense of security? Is the Pope Catholic?

They want to believe, they are primed for it, and they just might accept a deal with the devil thinking that this is their long awaited “warrior king”…to give them what they have desired, their land without fear, a new Jewish Temple of worship on Mt. Moriah, the Temple Mount and a 7 year treaty of lies that claim peace. See Israel has been blinded that their Messiah  was a suffering servant come to take away their sins (as temple sacrifices did that, in their mind), but a King David, fully man  not necessarily divine, that would deliver them to regain what they had lost, the splendor of Solomon’s reign. Only when the prophecy spoken by Jesus in Matthew 24 comes to fruition about the abomination of desolation standing in the temple claiming to be God, that they will know they have made a pact with the devil. Then this false messiah will attempt to destroy everything Jewish and the nation of Israel will be trampled upon and the rest of the world subjugated to his dictatorship.

TWO CHOICES OF EITHER MESSIAH, OR a false messiah

It comes down to this. Which one will you follow? Will you follow the true Messiah, Jesus Christ, the Son of God, or will you follow a charlatan with the title of “new messiah”. He may be the President of the USA, he may not. He will be the Anti-Christ, or by implication, instead of Christ. He will also, most likely be Muslim and the embraced Al Mahdi by association, or what he will stir up so they believe he is their leader to bring the reign of the Caliphate come to pass and Islam as the universal religion. The world will be ripe for deception. Carnage will be the name of the game, as many people will die…maybe even you. It will happen when suddenly, many people from every nation that has a true Christian population disappear and there is no sane explanation from anyone left to sort out the details of the event. If you have read all the surrounding reasons of what is happening during the next few years, then you will have to decide if the events are close time wise and if they are reasonable. The false messiah could be on your TV screen at any given evening speaking lies to the unsuspecting masses of disbelievers. With signs becoming more prominent and exploding on your news cast, night after night, then any sane person would have to say….the Anti-Christ, the Al Mahdi, the lawless one, is alive and well today in our time.

Who do you put your trust in? Do you have to see with your eyes, and hear with your ears to believe? Remember what Jesus said above. “Blessed are those who have not seen, but believe”. How will you find the true Messiah? By faith you will see Him, feel Him, and His Holy Spirit will call you in a still small voice to repent of what you have been doing. Turn around and fall into the arms of Jesus Christ, my Lord who wishes only to save you and deliver you from the wrath to come. Call upon His name and with remorse and tears, call out “Jesus save me”….you know what, He will do as you ask.

This is Pastor Mike Taylor, praying for you. Should you need counseling, prayer, or just a listening ear, then email me at realteam1999@sbcglobal.net, God bless you all, till we meet at Jesus feet.

He is not the Mahdi yet. I think if he went out of the Presidency to Islam and said I love you and have been waiting for you they would grab onto him in a second. The LORD is not allowing us even great scholars like your self to know, but he gives us enough to get it.
Just waiting

No, the AC has not claimed the title of Mahdi yet...of course, this Mahdi is a figment of Islam's imagination. It's a ruse of Satan to give what men want....a false messiah....the AC will give them what they want...and call himself whatever they want to call him...Al Mahdi, messiah, savior....except he will be demon possessed by Satan himself eventually...How? We don't know yet as speculation abounds about a head wound that healed and he came back to life...Keep watching....our redemption draws even closer.

How truly grateful I am to our Father in Heaven, for giving us the Spirit of truth to discern in these end times in which we live! To be so utterly unworthy of His compassion for us, and to know that his great arm of protection is tightly around us.
I am going to be digging around for more info on this new revelation. Wow! What a find, if it is indeed true!

MIke I fully believe you are right on target. It all adds up to what you are saying. I feel we do not have long I wish more pastors would warn people of the churches that this is coming and coming fast now. I do feel a lot of the time that Obama is the antichrist he fits the criteria of the man. I just pray that God will take us before this world turns into pure turmoil. But even if he doesn't I am thankful he saved me and I have an eternal home in Heaven. God Bless you for telling people and warning them of what is coming. You have a great knowledge of the Bible and making it easier to understand.

Just read the article again, it covers everything and gives a unbeliever to accept the LORD. You mention the confusion and desire for a warrior type for the JEWS, SO TRUE. They will be able to do their offerings again, for a while. You put everything into a understandable perspective. I try to spread the word carefuuly but so many just say "oh yea". I believe we are delayed in his coming because the LORD has work to do in Islam. Many Muslims are seeing the light. GREAT REPORT!!!

This has to be fake. This story is way too much about obama. He loves sports with little holes? Golf? no way it is real

Pastor Patrick, the phrase "sports with holes and nets" seemed to me to be a linguistic tool in the hand of a satirical wordsmith. Obama being a golf and basketball fan is widely known and much to coincidental here for my Berean tastes.

Ed,
I concede that the Arak Codex may be a plant, but the Muslim writings of the Suhih or not...they've been around a long time, and the writings seem to agree with this latest find....BUT the point is, it doesn't matter if either discovery or writing is true or not. The Iranians and the Muslim world believe it...The mullahs in Tehran believe it. Why is it that Obama is so chummy with the Iranian leaders...diplomacy? I think not.

Pastor Mike,Thank you for commenting back. You make an excellent point overlooked by me. "the point is, it doesn't matter if either discovery or writing is true or not. The Iranians and the Muslim world believe it...The mullahs in Tehran believe it. " I am ever mindful that one of the hallmark characteristics of the end of the age will be unparalleled deception, deceit, and delusion. We are forewarned that God will be sending a strong delusion so that they will believe the lie. Clearly, increasingly, the world seems to be cascading to this appointed fulfillment of prophetic judgment. Thank you again.

Paul says in 2nd Thesolonian that taking away or rapture will not take place unless we see the revelation of man of sin-son of perdition. When true believers are taken away majority will be Islamic followers on earth enforcing all kind of fatwa. The descriptions of Bible anti-christ and 12th Imam are amazingly the same. Very soon the anti-christ will usher into the world stage who will be known by the true believers before rapture. Thanks

Ugyen,
insert the word "then" for the word "unless" and your statement will be correct. We WILL not see the man revealed. Scripture plainly says thus:
2:7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.

2:8 And THEN shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:

Not unless, but then shall he be revealed. We may have a suspicion, but we will never see him identified by the actions he takes when he makes a covenant of 7 years with Israel...This coming April or shortly thereafter???? Keep looking up, sister.

do you believe that Arak codex found in clay jar near Arak nuclear plant was a fact. Few articles have already been published that it was a fake. I still believe that it could be true. I am studying Bible prophecies in context of present world scenario. Thanks

would you share those links about the Codex being fake? Haven't seen that yet. But the point is, and I made it to another member, it really doesn't matter as the Mullahs of Iran are selling it as real. The people believe it and the person they deem the Mahdi will only be too happy to oblige them because of his narcissistic personality...He wants to be their "savior" as he somehow thinks he is ours. It is all smoke and mirrors that is exactly what the AC will use. This administration is full of lies and deceit and I'm beginning to wonder if those who say that Obama is the Mahdi, the Anti-Christ are correct. I think it best to keep a watchful eye on this man and one eye on the heavens as our Lord may be showing Himself with His angels to say "come up hither"....so come Lord Jesus..

God Bless you Pastor Mike for consistently and faithfully sharing your Biblical studies and discerning insights with us. I find this description to be fascinating. I remain cautious in my embrace of it until further confirming evidence can support it`s authenticity. It does remind me in writing style an article at Before Its News that presented in very sincere detail a manifesto of actions the new pope had taken. The article referred to the actions as a "Vatican 3". Totally fascinating and believable in the context of what we have seen so far from this new pope. It turned out to be a work of ingenious satire with just enough sprinkling of the truth to make you believe. I long for the trumpet to blow from our Savior. I remain as a Berean, being ever vigilant and cautious with so much of what is to be found on the internet.

Excellent and informative, Pastor Mike!

Here are a few more thoughts.

1 John {2:18} Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time. {2:19} They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would [no doubt] have continued with us: but [they went out,] that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.

When it comes to identifying the Antichrist, if we keep in mind that throughout history there would be many of them as John warned in his first epistle, I think we can use these past antichrists to get a good idea about the final one.

The final one will be charismatic, capable of exerting what could safely be called a supernatural influence over the masses, something we saw in particular with Adolf Hitler. His lust for power and hatred of the Jews will be prime characteristics of the "man of sin."

What also caught my attention in the passage above is that John tells us that these antichrists "went out from us, but they were not of us." Does this mean he will be a prominent figure on the Christian world?

A popular candidate is that he'll be a pope, but there is no reason he couldn't also be the head of any other Christian church or ministry. A lot of the most popular ones in the U.S. today can only be described as heretics, pushing everything but the Bible - scratchers of "itching ears, telling people what the want to hear, as Paul said:

2 Timothy {4:3} For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; {4:4} And they shall turn away [their]
ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

If that doesn't sound like much of the so-called "church" today, I don;t know what does.

I have also long thought that since the devil does not had God's omniscience, he has always had an "antichrist candidate" waiting in the wings until an opportune moment. That would explain why there have been so many of them across the 2000 years Christianity has existed.

Believers may never know for sure who this "Wicked" will be, as Paul said below:

2 Thessalonians {2:7} For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth [will let,] until he be taken out of the way. {2:8} And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his
coming: {2:9} [Even him,] whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders.

We may, however, be around long enough to see someone arise who will one day fill that role.

As the excellent article above pointed out, I also believe the Mahdi and Antichrist are the same man. This would explain his acceptance by the Muslims who would reject any non-Muslim, his acceptance by Israel by confirming a peace treaty that actually appears to work initially (especially if it has a provision for rebuilding the temple and re-instituting the Mosaic sacrifice system, a prime Messianic requirement, by the way), and the Christian world which is already so softened by false doctrine and Scriptural ignorance that it won't recognize him for whom and what he truly is.

I think Hosea said it best and though he was speaking to ancient Israel and Judah, it hold true for Christians today as well:

Hosea {4:6} My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.

For those of us who have held to the authority and verity of Scripture,
it is certain God will not forget us!

Keep looking up!!

We will know who he is before the coming of the Lord and our gathering together with Him. How long between those two times has been a continuous argument for over 100 years, since Darby and Scofield publicized the dream Ms. MacDonald had on the topic

But we make an exegetical mistake when we insist that the "restrainer" of 2Thes2:7 is certainly the Holy Spirit in the Church. Paul did not say that. Surely would have been good to have been in the meeting in which he told them...or would that he'd written a sentence or two.

But what about the apparently fatal head wound anti-Christ is to receive? How does that play into this picture?

Ahhh...a Pre-trib denier, I presume? No, the restrainer has been covered in many prophecy circles and the only logical conclusion is that it is indeed, the Holy Spirit that will be removed out of the way. Many people have tried to postulate the identity, but their logic is based on man's reasoning. On the concept of a McDonald hypothesis, the concept of the pre-trib rapture was defined during the early church, I believe I read in the 2nd or 3rd Century. Even the Thessalonians believed that they had missed the rapture and were waiting for God's wrath and had missed it. Paul assured them they had not.

Again, on the identity of the AC, we may have a good idea, as many people are pointing to their belief that Obama is the real deal....and he may be, but we won't know for sure when suddenly, the church is gone. That is what the bible teaches and you can scoff, if you wish. There are too many scriptures say that your stance is in error...God bless,

Very interesting! If we are the last generation, and I feel we are according to the word, then the Anti-Christ is out there today, being groomed to step into his role soon! God bless and keep up the great work Pastor Mike!
